If you want to waste your money on terrible food and terrible service this is the place to go. No attention to detail from the waiters,you have to ask for water, you need to ask them to remove the plates from the tables , they give you a butter knife to cut your steak . On top of that you ask for a refill on the water or ask them to remove plates and they either ignore you or don't speak English or Spanish. No air conditioner, cups where they serve you water are dirty and even the water they serve is dirty. Don't waste your time here people read more

Came Becouse it was highly recomended. Interestingly enough there were plenty of patrons who appreciated the place. But left extremely disappointed, the dishes of my companions were tasteless and cold, but my dish WOW had shredded beef in a tomato base that smelled as it was left out for 3 days. The server did acknowledge and apologized profusely, he said he could not explain what happened. Again why do I venture ? Well I do want to try new things, but a cachapa with shredded beef and cheese did not sound like a risky endeavor, but wow for it to taste and smell as garbage is perhaps a bit to much. As the dish arrived it left our table with a sincere apology from the sever, who offered all kinds of alternatives, which I kindly declined, but he also removed it from the bill. There is a ton of restaurants in Doral and Luka has been added to the list of competition when deciding what to eat on a busy weekday during the lunch rush hour. The restaurant has great decor, a little crowded so I chose to sit outside under their pergola which is really peaceful. I had the Sweet Luka salad with an Americano. I decided to come and eat here with my husband after seeing a bunch of ads and was extremely disappointed. Our food was brought 15 minutes apart and and with missing items. I didn't see a drink on my table for 20 minutes and the appetizer came after the main course. I only saw my waitress twice and continuously had to ask other servers for assitance. Waitress attitude was not nice, brought the food and never came back to ask if we need something else. I ask for a small box to go and didn't get it until the third time. My wife and I tried getting to Luka for breakfast on a Sunday morning and we had 3 families ahead of us. We weren't willing to wait so we left and came back for Lunch. We were so glad we did ! We ordered the "Luka Bites" as our entrie which is a mixed plate of finger foods (Tequeños, which are Venezuelan style cheese sticks, mini empanadas and mini arepas with cheese) It includes 2 of each of these Venezuelan and Colombian snacks. One word to describe that, DELICIOUS. My wife proceeded to order a Paisa Bowl, which is a the famous Colombian Bandeja Paisa which comes with rice, beans, a fried egg, beef, pork and fried plantain. One word to describe that, DELICIOUS ! I oredered a Cachapa with Cheese, which is a golden fried corn cake folded to hold thick white cheese inside. One word to describe that, DELICIOUS ! My wife order a "Parchita" passion fruit. It was brought in a medium pitcher. It was a bit thick, so it was like a smoothie. Along with the meal it was very filling. I ordered Limonada Coco. It was lemonade with a hint of Coconut. It was very refreshing as it seems that the Coconut sweetens the lemonade. Good stuff ! The ambiance and staff are really nice. The food and presentation were excellent in this lovely setting, but the customer service was disappointing. Throughout our visit, the waiters seemed indifferent, making basic requests feel like inconveniences for them. Since the tip is already included, there is a lack of incentive to provide good service. Two waiters exhibited so a disinterested attitude than simple things like refilling water or getting the bill became problematic tasks. Appetizer was late. Server talking or eating on the bar counter while we were waiting for service. Given this experience, I won't be returning; if tips are mandated, I expect more than just good food with bad attitude. read more

I've been coming to Luka for sometime now usually on Sunday's for a delicious and fulfilling breakfast. Luka has Venezuelan influences in most of its dishes and they're all amazing, and the coffee is to die for. Hopping casual dining in a strip mall off a busy street. But enter into this place and it is amazing! The menu is well done, nice appetizing photography of dishes, well-written descriptions, and best of all, reasonable prices! We ordered specialty coffees just to see if their barista could produce the cute designs in their photos - and yes, he could!!! We were thrilled with the coffees and the prompt service!
