I really enjoyed the food at Factoría del Azúcar, especially the chaufa. It had great flavor and was definitely the highlight of my meal. The only downside was that it came without chicken, which I wasn't expecting and would have made the dish feel more complete. Garbanzos weren't my favorite it has a lot of sauce. 1/5 -- We left before dinner even started. That should tell you enough. We came ready to spend money, enjoy a good dinner, and have a good night. Instead, the experience was so disappointing that we decided the best item available was the EXIT. First, the meat cuts weren't clearly specified by weight in ounces. If you're selling steaks, customers shouldn't have to play a guessing game about how much meat they're actually ordering and paying for. Then we moved on to appetizers... only to discover they were already running out of several things we wanted to order. At some point you start wondering: what exactly IS available tonight? We didn't come to negotiate with the menu or participate in a scavenger hunt for available food. We came to eat. The situation became ridiculous enough that we simply left WITHOUT EATING. And considering how many excellent restaurants are competing for customers, getting people through your door and then giving them enough reasons to walk right back out is impressive -- just not in a good way. Save yourself the frustration. There are far too many restaurants where the menu actually tells you what you're ordering, the kitchen has what the menu advertises, and you can simply sit down and enjoy your dinner. This place is SOO pretty and I love that it's at dolphin mall so then you could just walk around later or do something else. Food was 10/10 for presentation and taste. There was also enough to take home leftovers which was great considering the price. Drinks were delicious and gimmicky but that menu description was long as heck and they did not have the Alice In Wonderland drink so that was a tad disappointing. All went well. The food was delicious and service was great. One thing only that I didn't like. They have a dish that brings, according to their advertising, 6 croquetas, but mine only had 5. I thought it was a mistake so I called back the next day to inquire and I was told it brings 5. Why do they post that dish everywhere with 6, if they only serve 5. At the price of $18, 5 croquetas seem expensive. They should keep the 6 that they advertise. This is my second time going to Factoría De Azucar. The first time I came I tried one of their Milanesas, it was very tasty and a very large portion. My friends and I decided to go check them out as they currently have the entire restaurant decorated for Halloween. They have a special menu with a variety of dishes and drinks all Halloween themed. This is a great place to come with the family, the kids will certainly enjoy the decor. The staff is dressed like the Adam's family which I thought was very cute and they were all very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend checking this restaurant out. read more

Okay, this place was seriously so good. Everything looked like it came straight out of a food magazine, and it tasted even better. The croquettes were super crispy on the outside and creamy inside. At first I told my husband we can order them. And if we don't finish them all I could take them home. Because I wanted to make sure that I left enough room for dessert. But to be quite honest, we finished all of them and I could've eaten like ten more! It Had a merengue cream on the side of it that gave it a sweet taste. My husband ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly, so juicy and full of flavor. But the star of the night was the fried fish. First time going to Factoría de Azúcar with family for my brother birthday and it was a great time. The aesthetics of the restaurant are super cute. Right now they have a spooky season theme going on so it's definitely worth taking pics and feeling the Halloween vibes . Service was great, with the waiter being super attentive. So what was first ordered were the appetizers, we got the wagyu carpaccio, jamón serrano and the octopus anti cucho. Honestly I can't say which appetizer was the best, they were all great starters. Then we move on to the entrees, I had gotten the arroz Del Mar, my brother got La Nona milanesa(chicken) and my dad got the factoría burger. My food was amazing loved it but la Nona looked so good, definitely getting it next time. They said their food was great, my dad said the burger was spot on. Last we move on to the dessert which was delicious, we got the Ferrero Rocher Flantel, highly recommend ! The ambiance is amazingly beautiful as they decorate for each major holiday. Servers and bartenders are friendly and make you feel comfortable. We visited La Factoría de Azúcar and while the restaurant itself is nice with a pleasant ambiance, the food did not leave much of an impression. We started with the wagyu carpaccio, which was good but nothing stellar. The jamón serrano croquetas were really good, flavorful, and crispy, and the truffle burger sliders were also solid. For mains, we had the milanesa clásica de pollo with creamed corn and the churrasco with gallo pinto. The milanesa was just okay, a plain breaded chicken breast that lacked seasoning, and the creamed corn was bland and forgettable. The churrasco and gallo pinto were better but still nothing that would make me rush back. Our server was nice and attentive, and the service overall was very good. Factoría de Azúcar delivers a great dining experience. The parrilla was amazing--the meat was tender and full of flavor--and the Nutella milkshake was a total hit. The anticucho de pulpo was a miss since it was overcooked, but the manager personally came over to apologize, and the service throughout was top-notch. The jamón croquettes and carpaccio are absolute must-tries. It gets five stars because the server and manager's service was ridiculously amazing. The main courses are good but the sides are NOT. The salad dressing is horrible for the house sales and the Moro is nasty. The Milanesa is good and some of the appetizers are good but not all of them. The soda is the small bottles of coke and they charge almost $4 a bottle l. The flan is not good. It's Miami, so as expected, the staff is primarily Spanish speaking, no issue, just being from N. Florida aka S. Georgia, it took a second for us to connect on a conversational level. Another restaurant in dolphin that will soon go bankrupt. Price for the food is not up to par with the quality. Everything was either too salty or too sweet. The mojito, liquor less. My stomach the next morning, destroyed. On top of that, everything was just awkwardly slow. Midway through the whole ordeal they threw away my retainers that I had on top of the table. Manager was like, well, "nothing I could do there". A young man felt bad and at least tried to look for them in the garbage. To that guy, wish you only but the best in life. For this, this is going to be one of those phases in dolphin mall that we just see come and go unless they fix their menu. I don't know why people think they can charge outrageous prices then not deliver in the cooking and food quality. It was Ok. The ambiance is on point. We loved the decor and the vibe. The name is misleading because there's a dessert/candy store attached to it, but the main restaurant serves food. First we ordered the Jalea Mixto which was underwhelming. The fried items were overly battered and had no flavor and the tostones were dry. We sent it back and got the plantain bites instead. They were fresh and hot, but lacked flavor. Again, the breading was overpowering. For our meal we shared the sliders which were hot and fresh. The pan de bono buns were a bit dry but he overall flavor of the sliders was better than the other items. I forgot to take pictures, but looking at the pictures online, they do not compare to what we actually received. I will note that they had just opened for the day so perhaps they hadn't gotten into the food prep rhythm yet. The service was overall good. The waiter was attentive, kept our water full, and exchanged our appetizer with no issue. We didn't have dessert, but I would definitely try it next time. They put on a show and come out with dancers and props and a lot of music and light show definitely will be enjoyed by a large group celebration. But if your looking for a dinner date to enjoy some simple time this place might be to much for you. Front of house service was great they found a table for use fast being it was a last min. Plan and didn't make reservations. Our waiting staff was very kind and helped in some choices for food and drinks. Once drinks and food arrived it had some ups and downs steak and rice was a bit under season but cooked to perfection. The calamari mixoto was also great but shrimp was over batter compared to the rest of the plate. The reason for the 4 star is even though everything was good the wait time was a bit much and they confused our appetizers with our dinner plate along with the drinks taking a while also and this included get water.
