Smoke billowing from under the hood and heat sensors spiking. YIKES!! Marc Counter (Owner) took me as a drive-in, (and trust me, vintage Jags arent their usual car.) He was friendly, professional and just a regular local guy, who wants to get you back on the road. (He even invited me to have some chicken wings! lol) He was highly recommended by a few locals, and within a few hours, he had the parts delivered on-site and a decent price, he replaced some radiator tubes, flushed/replaced all the coolant and I was on my way again. Hopefully wont need them again.... but if i do.. i know where im going.

Despite being extremely busy, the team at Madden's Garage was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. Mr. Madden went above and beyond--allowing us to keep our disabled camper on his property while a replacement axle was shipped all the way from the Rockwood plant in Indiana. Once the part arrived, the repairs were completed quickly and at a more-than-reasonable cost. We were never charged a storage fee, and every interaction was marked by professionalism and kindness. Almost Criminal! We had an auto accident within .25 miles of their shop downtown Saranac Lake. The…read morecar was totaled and towed(after hours) to a holding lot(a field) 3 miles away($1250 and $35 in diesel charge). It stayed in the field 17 days at close to $100 dollars a day) while they haggled with the insurance company. They wouldn't release the car so I could get started trying to find a new one, until they were paid $3,000. The insurance company gave me 2k. ($500 for reasonable towing fee of 3 miles and $85 a day storage) When I personally called Twin D's to discuss with them, as a longtime North Country person, all I got was "our owners will call you back." Surprise, nobody ever did and I had to eat the thousand dollars. I would be very careful if you are considering doing business with this business. They are about the money, not the people.
