I love G & G and would never consider going to another shop for my auto needs. Brandon and Dan are exceptional. I've never had to wait more than a couple of days for an appointment, and I'm sure if it was an emergency, they'd find a way to fit me in. The staff is ridiculously friendly given how busy they are, and they always take the time to explain everything to me. I've been going there for over 20 years, and have never had one complaint. We had an excellent experience at G & G while on a road trip. We showed up 15 minutes before opening on a Saturday morning. We had super friendly, quick service. They did a great tire patch job for $30 (run flat tires) while one of us walked the kids to the nearby marina for a lake view (8-10 minute walk). Thank you for "saving" our road trip schedule! My wife and I have only been to this place for tires and oil changes, etc. so we can't speak to the quality of the other services they offer, but I must say they have been absolutely exemplary in their customer service and quality workmanship so far every single time we've used them. Also, they always manage to get us in with only a one or a two day wait, far better than the other service shops around the Plattsburgh area that will typically make us wait two weeks for a visit, which is a big problem if your car won't run and you need it to get to work on Wednesday! This place gets my highest recommendation. They are friendly and responsive and seem to take pride in the work they do. Unfortunately, that is getting to be a rare thing these days! read more

Went for inspection...needed front brakes which did not surprise me...I am only less than a mile from their location and they actually came and picked up my car the next morning at 640 and had it ready by 830...for almost exactly what they said the cost would be...totally pleased and would definitely use them again read more

Mind you I'm writing a 5 star review even after my car did not pass inspection. I brought in two vehicles for inspection. They said one needed new tires which I actually do believe because I've driven that car all over the planet and haven't gotten tires in the year snd s hslf since I owned it. Since this car is a mini coop it has only one back up light (it's a British thing) and the service guy said it wasn't an issue because only 1 light is required to pass inspection. So thst car was good to go. My poor Jeep however had cosmetic front end damage and and emissions leak that triggered the engine light. Any engine issue will fail you even if it's minor. They got me in to fix it two days later so I will be able to get this done soon. Once I drive the repaired vehicle they will pass it if the light stays off after 2 days. Easy. Very nice people that explained things well and didn't treat me like a girl. read more

g&g treated me right. called ahead to make sure they were open, said they'd take my car and within a short period of time, i had some fresh new tires. fairly priced, good people. taking my car here everytime, probably the best place in town IMO. 5 star. read more

They would not make good on a one year warranty. They accused me of being dishonest and came up with every excuse they could not to replace a bad tire that was still under warranty. I do not recommend this company. They have very poor customer service and do not stand behind what they sell. read more

To start just getting ahold of someone who any sort of customer service s are VERY unlikely. But on March 23rd I was in to have my car serviced. I had called ahead to schedule and appointment and let them know what I was in need of. When I arrived about 3 of 9, my appointment was for 9 I was created by what I now know is the owner and he helped me into the proper area. The Dean man I was brought to was very brash and rude. He acted like I was inconveniencing him for me to be showing up for my appointment. He told me at least 2 hours for a thermostat and a control arm on a 99 Honda Accord. So being a mechanics daughter I knew things get behind and you may need more time, doesn't mean I'll be paying for the wait to get my car in, understood. About 1 hour 55 minutes later I returned and a different man is working on the WRONG side of my car. When I ask Dean who approached me to tell me "yeah we aren't done with it yet" when I asked about the incorrect side of my car being worked on I was told "he fucked up" again being a mechanics daughter that's not exactly reassuring but I was told 45 minutes to correct the problems. The owner nor anyone in the building apologized for the wait my only explanation was "he fucked up" I left that shop and went right to another to make sure he did "fuck up" my car. I was very uneasy driving my car away after paying 367 dollars for someone to "fuck up" later In the evening when they wouldn't be so busy i called and I asked to speak to some about service I received earlier in the day. I was transferred to Robin. the owner as I'm aware. once I explained myself I was then told " well you had a confusion with which side" SO HES BLAMING ME?! I will add I told the incorrect side originally but called RIGHT back to correct myself but apparently it was never changed on the calendar. needless to say I will NOT be returning for ANY service at G&G. years of patronage lost due to a "fuck up" Great customer service from a small town, locally owned, family run business. also NO compensation for the wait for "fuck up" not even a slight hint of apology. read more

Located right in downtown Plattsburgh. Parking can be very tight. This is a very high volume, fast paced shop. One HUGE!!!! benefit is no appointment needed. Have had my car in for numerous oil changes, tire rotations and front end work. All their work warrantied for 1 year & they stand by their warranty. Had a front end part that they reinstalled a year later at no charge. Very friendly. They take their time to explain everything to you. Not pushy or rude at all. They have an auto part store attached to the building so getting parts never seems to be a problem. Be aware, they don't do electrical work. I had to go elsewhere for electrical. They take all credit cards. Free coffee in waiting room. If you are waiting for any length of time check out Campus Corner Restaurant right around the corner. read more
