The thing about him is that he is not only capable of giving you a great haircut, he will also make recommendations based on your hair texture and your facial features. Nice guy and gives a good haircut. However, I felt like I was a bit rushed since he was the only one there and there was another customer waiting. The cut was nice in the front from what I could see, but my problem area is my crown. I noticed when I got home that it was not properly tended to. A bit of my fault because I should of explicitly told him and checked myself...but also his fault because it was quite clear that it was sticking up and he did not give me the mirror to check out my sides and back. I am sure that he would of done a perfect job if I were to of specified these things and/or more cautiously checked it over when he was "done". Also, a bit more expensive than I expected. read more

When I was 13 years old I went to a salon called unique hair works where a lady cut my hair. My mom dropped me off so I was waiting for her to pick me up after my hair was done. I started blow drying my own hair straight in the meantime. Luke was there cutting another lady's hair and after he finished with her he looked at my hair and asked if he could fix my hair for me because the lady did a really bad job cutting it. After he fixed me hair I was so amazed!! I loved my hair soo much, I was sure to go back to him again. When I wanted to go back to him months later for a hair cut the receptionist told me he moved out of town. I was sooo sad and upset! Recently I looked on yelp for a hair salon and saw the pictures of the haircuts at Luke's salon, I thought maybe this was Luke but wasn't sure. So I called to make an appointment and was able to get in an hour later on a Saturday! When I got there I asked him if he used to work at unique hair works and he said yes!! Omgosh I am so happy to find Luke again!!!! After 15 years, Luke remembered me also! Of course he did such a good job on my hair! He cuts hair with precision and he is very detail oriented and perfect with everything he does! for sure you will love him and the way your hair looks! I absolutely love coming here. Luke does an amazing job cutting hair. This man has hands of gold and anything he touches comes out beautiful. When ever my hair starts to look dull, uneven, dry and damaged it is nothing Luke can't fix. Luke did a great job on my bob haircut. I am very happy with my haircut. I am disappointed that he did not listen to what I wanted on my hair color. I had gone the day before for a consultation and we agreed on the color. I went the next day And he did not show me the color he was going to apply, he just mixed it. Right before he applied it. I asked, "it's not dark brown is it?" "I want a light brown." He answered that no it was not, but I feel he had mixed it already and did not want to waste dye. I don't know. I had bleached hair, so I could have gone light brown. I had made it clear I do not like dark brown hair on me. He still dyed it as he wished. I wish I would have just gotten a haircut with him and dyed it somewhere else. Now I'm stuck with this hair color for a while. read more

The hair cut was okay but the barber was a whole other story. He yelled at my mom telling her to leave because he couldn't perform the hair cut she asked for. He terribly blow dried her hair. I expected way more due to the pictures and all the nice reviews. He charged her a tip for no absolute reason. I don't recommend him at all. read more

I got my haircut here today and I have to say Luke did a great job. My only gripe is that he chopped off a little too much of the length after I said I wanted to keep the length. Regardless, the haircut is beautiful and Luke couldn't have been nicer. Along with being friendly, the man cut my hair perfectly STRAIGHT. My previous stylists had turned me off by taking it upon themselves to get "artsy" with razors just because I have thick hair. Luke, on the other hand, cut my hair CORRECTLY.
