I visited today around 630ish on my day off Tuesday. And it was empty. Lucky me! I was greeted by Luke and he was very welcoming . I showed him what I wanted and he advised me other wise and explained exactly what he recommended. I am extremely open to suggestions especially coming from someone who's a professional in the field. We ended up going with his suggestions and it turned out awesome! I am so happy I ended up going to Luke. He made me feel relieved and I was confident when I walked out. And when I got home my fiancé was ecstatic he kept commenting how beautiful It looked. I would definitely recommend. Luke isn't your typical hair stylist. He won't try up selling product or try to up sell treatments. He will give you recommendations that are honest. I'll be visiting again when it's time for a color touch up! I came across this establishment because of the yelp reviews AND the fact that they were open on a Monday. My mom needed a haircut stat! The salon is located in the little strip mall by the 7Eleven. It is small and to the point. I'm assuming it was Luke that attended to my mom (asian guy with stylish haircut). I told him what she wanted, just a haircut. I left since I needed to run an errand and when I returned 40mins later she was done. The cut was exactly as I asked for and he even straightened her hair. My mom liked it so she was a happy customer. I asked her how long did it take him to cut and straightened her hair and she replied probably 20mins. One thing I do have to say is he didn't wash my mom's hair prior to cutting it. I guess my specific instruction of just a cut was taken too literal or maybe it's common practice at Luke's not to wash hair first. I don't know but the cut was nice and next time I'll add the "wash hair and a cut" instruction. The guy however was really nice and friendly and the price $25 only! I have been going to Luke for 10 years now since I was a student at Cleveland High School. This is literally the only review I've written because I want the world to know Luke's greatness, and he asked me to write one years ago. His personality and bluntness may put you off or have you second guess at first, but this man, is a master of his craft. He doesn't keep any look books of styles to choose from, or at least when I originally went to him; he laughed when I asked him to see a book I could choose from. His philosophy is that every persons head is different and the style must be unique to each individual. He changed my life in regards to the hair. I'm not kidding, I used to go to chatchky barbers and I hated line ups- and my thick Punjabi hair was always a mess. But from the very first cut, I knew I'd be coming back to Luke. At least 6 of my direct friends circle have frequented Luke and have given him business over the last 10 years. Do not hesitate to commit to this man. He will have you looking your best through graduations, dates, interviews, and your greatest achievements. Luke is more than my hair stylist, he is a friend. I went in with very damaged hair and did not know what kind of haircut I wanted, I just knew I wanted all the damage gone and was open to short hair. Luke is great, he recommended a haircut and took his time and cut off all the damage. He also gave me some tips on how to maintain my hair. This is a couple months late. I needed a simple trim and made an appointment. The traffic was terrible and I called to say id be 10 minutes late. Yes, my fault. When I got there he was finishing up a guy and after being done i thought I was next but Luke ended up cutting another guys hair before me. I was a bit irked because we were 25 min after my appointed time. Luke's talkative and social so there's no rudeness to complain about. I asked if there was a good haircut he could recommend and he pointed to the 4 manicans and the pictures on the wall but they were all too short and some were a bit too 90s. I just asked him to do one length and take a couple inches off. He proceeded to straight iron my hair and then use a comb to cut straight across. Ive never seen the ironing techinque done before a haircut before especially just for a trim. He asked if I wanted simple layers in the front after to which I replied, sure. Then his sister charged me $35. Meh. I suggest you go to Luke's if you like the haircuts he is good at because the pictures on yelp look like he does a pretty good job. It looks as if he's perfected the a-line. Anything else, I'd suggest going elsewhere. He appears like he's super creative and fashion forward but I think he hasn't grown far from what he's comfortable doing professionally. Anyways, I appreciated the conversation read more

I decided to give Luke's Salon a try because I know a few people who have been going to him for quite awhile. He really does a nice job on their hair. I've just always been so picky who cuts my hair. I've been going to the same salon for over 20 years. The last couple of times I've had my hair cut at this other place I was not happy. Luke has cut my hair twice now and does a beautiful job!! I will definitely continue to go to him from now on. I recommend him to anyone, he gives great suggestions but he cuts your hair exactly the way "you" want it. read more

My haircut for $30 is alright, but there was HUGE RED FLAGS that someone new coming to this salon should know. He didn't wash my hair, and he use a hair straighter before he cut my hair. Obviously my hair is stick straight and it wasn't necessary. He also DID NOT USE hair protector before applying heat. He commenting about washing my hair daily multiple times. I didnt wash my hair for a few days because I wanted to get an haircut and thought washing your hair was a standard. He also said it's good to wash your hair everyday. I asked what's the science behind it. He said "it's good for you to get the oils out." Im a believer of not its good to have your natural oils in your hair just your body produces too much that's why you wash after a certain amount of time. I personally don't think he keeps up with new trends and the science behind cutting hair. If you want a cheap cut go for it, but I'm not going to give someone money that doesn't know the science behind it. read more

I came to check the business out. I did not make a reservation before hand so the wait was understandable. A family came before us so we just chilled. When it was our turn my mother wanted 10 inches off to donate and he just blew up. He made comments on how damaged her hair was and she honestly doesn't do much and basically was telling her not to donate it. We just wanted 10 inches off and a style. I don't know why it was so hard. His work is good. I saw the clients before us and they came out nicely. My mother wanted something simple and he wouldn't give her that.
