Stopped by this eatery looking for plant-based options and was pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located off Hall Road. Plenty of parking and seating (interior and exterior). Staff was friendly and helpful. I learned they have a handful of house made syrups-there's a sign with the flavors at the counter). I ordered a raspberry matcha latte with oat milk after seeing an employees drink. It was a fun spin on the drink. Ordered the Thai-tanic wrap based on the description. It was good, but didn't really find many mushrooms in there (I love mushrooms). The nooch (nutritional yeast flakes) on the outside of the wrap looked cool, but didn't add much flavor and made for a messier experience. The side salad with balsamic it came with was filling. Overall, very clean, cool vibe. I'd like to go back to try something else from the menu. read more

I can't get enough of this place. Been here twice in just two weeks mostly because I'm hooked on the Thai-tanic wrap - sautéed vegetables mixed in a peanut sauce with fresh spinach, comes with a simple salad on the side which is spring greens drizzled with balsamic. We also ordered the Spinaberry salad with grilled chicken and the Southwest salad also with chicken. Friends said it was very fresh and tasty. Smoothies are awesome-lots of healthy add-inns to choose from and coffee is good too! This place has a nice cafe vibe, offers free WiFi. Many young people with their computers hanging around, so Indoor seating is somewhat limited especially during lunch. Once I'm able to break away from my Thai-tanic wrap addiction I will try other menu items and come here for breakfast one of these days soon. read more

A RKO (PB) or berry bliss smoothie sound quite good after a spicy meal. This place wasn't the easiest to find off the street. The sign for the building is on the back parking lot. It is right next to the Japanese restaurant, Osaka. We got the RKO, since it sounded nutty and yummy. I tend to order berry smoothies but then steal my husband's PB from him. Cut out the theft and ordered the RKO with PB. It's all made in the back. I hope it's all fresh ingredients. The guys immediately wiped down our seats within a minute of us departing, well done, keeping the joint virus free. The RKO has an interesting taste, not strong in the PB flavor to me. It's a bit odd from the hints from the coconut, PB and cinnamon. It's not bad, it's just a bit different is all. The staff are all friendly. read more

The service here is top of the line. The staff so kind and nice! The environment is super clean and well taken care of. Very trendy and cute cafe. It's more of a quick coffee date hangout place rather than a place to stay and eat. It does lean on the pricer side as most healthy cafes do but it's definitely worth checking out. The lavender lemonade was refreshing and not soapy tasting. The service was great and friendly. It's also located in a shopping area so I would definitely recommend for a girls date! read more

What a cute little place! I just got my nails done next door at VTNAILS and went to get my boyfriend to find him at the cafe next door. My initial thought was how clean and fresh the inside went. It was bright and inviting. :) I loved all the plants inside and the minimalistic vibe. He ordered a Chai Tea Latte. He said it was really rich. I tried it and you can actually taste the chai unlike other places. I ordered the Honey Bear latte... I thought it was really good but I think my boyfriend thought the opposite. ha! One of the things I totally overlooked was their Pistachio Latte! I will be back to try that. We didn't eat there but I look forward to going back and trying out their Pistachio Latte and a sandwich and staying there to enjoy it. The staff was really nice as well. This place is very cute inside. My son enjoyed his hot chocolate but my cinnamon latte was flavorless and the Mommas toast (avocado toast) was soggy. I do not think they toast the bread. Service was really good. The cashier was nice. I would like to go back but probably won't because I didn't care for my food. read more

Lula's Cafe is one of my favorite cafes in the Metro Detroit area. It is about a five-minute drive from both Lakeside Mall and The Mall at Partridge Creek. A convenient location for shoppers looking for a healthier dining option than what is available at the mall. On my first visit, I ordered the Buddha Bowl, a vegetarian dish made with quinoa, roasted asparagus, carrots, onion, peppers, black beans, corn, avocado, & goat cheese topped with chili flakes and a cage-free egg. It's served warm and is so delicious. You won't miss the fact that there isn't any meat or seafood in this dish. It's just fresh vegetables full of flavor with chili flakes for an added kick. The second time I went to Lula's Cafe, I tried another tasty bowl jam-packed with healthy ingredients. The Salmon Bowl comes with cauliflower rice, peas, corn, pepper, onion, carrots, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, avocado, and a large piece of salmon with chipotle aioli. It was tasty and very filling for dinner. My "dessert" was a Berry Bliss Smoothie made with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, banana, apple juice, almond milk, and honey. It tasted natural and not super sweet. This is my go-to restaurant for healthy and freshly made meals. I will definitely return to try more food options and smoothies. read more

Didn't have the experience I was hoping for here. Went in here with a group of 5 during brunch time only to realize it's order then sit kinda deal. Food looked really good in the pictures but wasn't all that. Very over priced for the quality of food and drinks. Place was clean and has a outdoor seating section. This is a quaint little cafe that was nestled in with a few other stores. I was shocked to find this little gem hidden where it is located. The vibe was light and minimal, filled with plants that really set a great atmosphere. I ordered a latte, which was very good and comparable to other lattes. I did not order any food, but their menu looked delicious and offered many healthy options. This was a great place to meet with a friend and catch up over coffee. Wasn't sure what to think when we came here! The reviews are all amazing but we were just looking to grab some coffee and some conversation! When you come in you go up to the counter to order. They bring your food out to you. Everything around us looked mouthwatering! Beautiful presentation! Of course, we are both still trying to get off the holiday weight. So, we didn't order food. There's a lot of fuss about this ABC toast which apparently is vegan and delicious. When you're done, you clean up after yourself. As I said, it wasn't what we expected but we will probably be back. Nice place to go and chat or get some work done. read more

Wow! Looking for a quick lunch and stumbled upon this gem. Didn't expect too much, since Covid I have lowered my expectations on food and service even in the best of restaurants. Well this place just blew me away with a smile, great food and a fun vibe. Had the breakfast burrito and was just so impressed with presentation and taste. I will make a plan to stop in more often. I really want to love this place, or at the very least like it. Been twice and the food is just so meh. First time was the chicken salad and it was so disappointing, sloppy and made apparently with a miracle whip type dressing as opposed to mayo -- so disgustingly sweet, which chicken salad most def should not be! Second time we had the Mommas Toast (aka avocado toast with tomatoes and feta and olives). It could have been awesome if they actually bothered to toast the bread. Avocado toast on bread as opposed to toast -- geez how inept is this place?? The bowls seem to be the best bet, hubby had the bowl with salmon and it was actually good. Debating whether or not to try again, as it is close to home. read more

Went to the Tile store and stumbled across this little cafe. My mom and I both got the thai-Tanic wrap and were both pleasantly surprised!! It was warm and delicious and came with some greens and balsamic drizzle which we were not expecting. The woman who dropped it off was nice and she checked on us after a couple bites- nice job. I couldn't wait to try this new, Health consious, place that opened recently in my neck of the woods! One of my favorite places for a quick bite is Beyond Juicery and I was feeling the same vibes with this place. Came here at lunch with my BF. I like how the menu was small. A few items for breakfast, a few for lunch. Smoothies, Coffee and some side/extra items for purchase. First impression, its cozy. There was a corner with couches and a coffee table to give that "comfortable at home" fee. The place is small so finding a spot to sit down may be challenging during peak times. The gentlemen at the register was very knowledgeable and answered my questions. They have a variety of "bowls" and I ordered the Salmon Bowl, boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito. I ordered a pour over coffee, they have many varieties. I asked for a recommendation. Then, you get a table number and wait for your order to be prepared. Everything is made to order and I did not mind waiting a bit. My salmon bowl was EXCELLENT. so tasty and the salmon was soft , not dry. My boyfriend said his burritto was very good. It was a big burrito, very filling. I would order this bowl again, it was awesome. The coffee was great too. They have a little self service cart with all kinds of condiments and free water. My only Con is the prices were a bit high, but you pay for the quality. This is not Mcdonalds by any means. A good place to get a quick bite but with healthier options. So excited to have tried this place because there is not many like it in the area! Finally a place with healthy and delicious food, great coffee, and a nice ambience here in Shelby Township. I got the salmon bowl and it was super tasty. Love the chipotle aioli. Big big fan of this place now and I might become a regular here. Also, they serve dessert oasis coffee which is one of my favorites!! Was super happy to find that out. read more

It had to have sat for 10 minutes before I even picked it up which is what I was worried about. Then, as I was trying to get the slice out I noticed that hardly any of the slices were cut all the through. I tried 3 different slices and none were cut through so I couldn't eat anything until I went looking for my pizza cutter. Yes, I had to basically slice up the whole pizza and the cutlines that were there, were not even. Some very large slices, some very small pieces. Not sure how you get slices that different in size. It was actually annoying. The taste was great, crust was cold but still very crispy. The cheese and sauce were so cold that they were already starting to thicken. Not exactly what I would expect with a $28 pie. And yes, not only did I have to cut my own pizza, I also had to microwave my slices after the first slice I ate. There was zero stretch to the cheese. So as I said, I don't think I got the best version of this pizza. It was a $28 pie that I had to cut up myself and warm it up in a microwave and that's after being early to pick it up. Not sure I'd order this again, I was really disappointed.

The Last time I was here plus with another check-in was for a Yelp Elite Event on 1/21/2022. Unfortunately, I regret that I need to write a honest revised review with 2 stars now based on My visual observations while visiting today for a coffee and lunch sandwich hour. I met up with Yelp friend Laurie for lunch to enjoy a bagel sandwich and flavored coffee or Latte on a cold Tuesday. First off walking inside at 11:30 AM showed a poor "Ambiance" due to unclean tables, chairs, windows, carpeting and counter areas plus the tile floor. There was Only one cheerful female employee working by herself. I didn't see her name tag since not wearing one to acknowledge her here in my review for trying her best with efficiency ! This Bagel, Coffee and Tea shop was cold on the inside so it was uncomfortable to relax , eat and catch up with our friendship chatting without heat. Coffee Menu was not working on the Board Screen so when I asked about flavors of Latte's she replied the machine was broken. :-( I opted for a plain coffee with a liquid flavoring of caramel which she was Happy to mix and it tasted fine. I ordered the Motor City Bagel Sandwich for my lunch choice. She commented that she would make the sandwich first and the coffee afterwards since she was alone. The sandwich was alright but I should of asked if she could microwave it but I didn't, in case the machine was out of order ? The bagel sandwich needed a melt to blend. Pricing for My 2 item lunch was $11.00 which was Alright? Although I won't be back here so it doesn't matter at this point. I felt bad that this girl had to multitask with other customers walking in and waiting for their orders under such a poor disorganized environment. I showed her My punch business card for coffee purchases to use and she had No Clue about it and couldn't punch it for my purchase. Photo attached... When we walked in, we looked for the coffee menu because we didn't see anything. The young lady said that the third menu screen above the counter wasn't working. So, I just ordered a regular coffee. While waiting for the sandwich and coffee to be made, I noticed that the cleanliness of this place was lacking. We sat down at a table, and in the corner of a window was a good sized cobweb. So we had to move our table because I didn't care to sit next to a cobweb while I was eating. The vents on the ceiling looked like they needed cleaning. They were pretty dirty. Then I looked at the display cases and they needed a good wipe down. In between the cases on the floor I noticed it was messy with what I think were maybe napkins or debris of some sort. The whole place needed cleaning from top to sides to bottom. When I went over to the condiment area for some cream and sugar and a stirrer, it looked like it needed some TLC. The sandwich was pretty good. I wasn't too happy with the piece of lettuce sticking out of the sandwich because it had black edges on it so I just pulled that out so it would look more appealing before I took my first bite. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and she did a fine job of taking care of us. To me, it wasn't a relaxing place to enjoy coffee. The chairs weren't the most comfortable. There's a coffee place a half mile to the south and that will be the next place I'll try. There's also another ice cream place a mile to the east which I'd choose. This unfortunately was a one and done.

Using our $15 gift we were given back when they opened.
