Stopped in on a weekday around 11am. It was pretty full, but the service was very fast and friendly. We ordered breakfast and it came out quickly, they kept the coffees full and checked in on us in between as well. We were in and out with 2 omelettes, side of pancakes and a skillet within 30 mins. We tried this diner when looking for a new spot for breakfast. This is a small diner, and pretty packed, but we found a table in the back. The coffee is brewed from a machine, and has weird foam when they give it to you. I thought at first that there was something wrong with it so I sent it back, But The waitress explained that that's how the coffee is disbursed out of the machine. I tried it, and it was good coffee. It was dark and rich. Don't let the appearance of it fool you. The omelettes were big, the ham was real chunks of good ham, not the deli stuff. The pancakes were just so-so. The hash brown portions are very generous, There's no way you can eat all of them. I didn't try it, but the cinnamon French toast looked phenomenal, and smelled incredible. The grilled chicken pita was so stuffed with chicken that you couldn't even pick it up. It was a generous portion. It's an older building So the bathrooms were older, but they were scrubbed clean. I was in the neighbor and i had some time to kill... so why not eat?! Lol! I was greeted when i walked in and was suggested to seat anywhere, so i sit at the counter since i was solo. Placed order and made some chit chat with the cook which i appreciate because he could've ignored since orders were coming in. I will stay he held down the fort. I ordered a stuff strawberry pancake with a side order of bacon - i did get my bacon first but i believe i was just at the counter and it was easier. I pretty much only engaged with cook instead of the waiters after i put in my order; she came back to provide a coffee refill. Other than - it was pretty good; a little over priced but definitely tasty. The crowd wasn't too bad - it was a nice flow and no waiting at all while dining. Would i return - sure! Stopped in for a quick breakfast. It's a small cozy place with booths down the outside wall, countertop seating and some tables in between. Somewhat limited breakfast menu with only 2 skillets. You can see your food being prepared in the open kitchen design. The eggs, hash-browns and breakfast meats were tasty and well prepared. My husband and I were really excited to try this diner close to our home so we went on a Saturday for lunch. I got the country breakfast which was large and good. My husband got the corned beef which he liked too. The service was fast and fine. Unfortunately a few hours later my husband got food poisoning from the corned beef sandwich. I was on my way to my morning appointment, I spotted this quaint little diner. Decided to turn around and give it a try. I'm so glad I did. What a treat on my birthday! The Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes didn't disappoint. I only ate half because they were so filling. The cheesecake icing isn't too over the top where you get sickened by the sweetness. It was a perfect balance of cheesecake, strawberry syrup and straws. So very yummy! As I was sitting there, I happened to hear the waitress talk to the other guests. But, once you sit down, the food and staff are so wonderful, you can't help but want to come back. I've had a variety of dishes here but mostly stick to breakfast when dining in. It's usually the same cook and waitress that are there when I am. Today was no different, and I decided to go with the vegetarian omelet with hash browns and toast. The portions are huge considering the price, so be prepared to walk away full or take home leftovers. they really do it right here, and even though its not the biggest or fanciest place, the food is pretty legit and spot on. After enjoying a tasty, hot meal with my family, am totally surprised this restaurant did not have one other customer the entire time we were in the building, not even a take-out order! This may be a small restaurant but everything was clean, from the tables to the restrooms, and such friendly staff members. We have a food-allergy sufferer in our group and the staff worked with us to find a work-around and make the meal tasty and safe! The only negative I have is the busser decided to mop the floor while we were eating and instead of skipping near our table until we were finished she just mopped next to us -- to me that's not appropriate. I saw the great reviews for this restaurant and since we love a good breakfast, thought we'd give it a try - Terrible! Bland hash browns, coney dogs were too salty and the sauce was mediocre, and the ketchup tasted rancid! I even tried a different ketchup container and it also tasted horrible.
