The load of hot homemade bread.

We'd heard about this hidden gem, so we thought we'd try it. Mostly Italian food with a few European dishes. The place is small but very clean and inviting. Maximum capacity is 60. We went around lunchtime and it was mildly crowded. Our service was great. Prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back. It's located in a small strip mall. Loved the unique serving dishes.

Highly recommended ! A very nice and clean place. My daughter recommended stopping by here. My husband and I came about an hour before closing. The food was fresh and good and we had a great conversation with Chef Larry and our waitress. We had chicken Parmesan and Mediterranean chicken vegetables. We sampled the Maurice salad dressing, which is delicious. They have a small bakery counter with a number of specialty items, (delicious New York cannolis )including some gluten-free choices. They also have some gluten-free flatbread. We will be returning again soon.

Unfortunately we had a mediocre experience. The server was really friendly and attentive. We started with the cheese bread which was pretty good. Next was our salads; the homemade ranch is a home run, unfortunately there was a lot of brown/pink pieces of lettuce. Wish that would have been picked through before reaching my table. It would be nice to have the veggies in the salad cut up more as well, too bulky. I had the chicken Parmesan, it was okay. The flavor of the chicken was good but it was in a puddle of juice, which made the chicken soggy and splashed on me while eating. It wasn't tomato sauce it was like water consistency under the chicken. My boyfriend had the spaghetti pomodoro and added many veggies to it. The veggies were too big of chunks for his liking. He said he would like to have something like asparagus and broccoli to add to his pomodoro. (He said it was boring) We might be a little biased because we don't care for spaghetti noodles. We prefer angel hair. (Our fault for not thinking about it.) The bread that accompanies the entrees was kinda hard and flavorless. Im not sure if this was day old bread or if that's the normal. Good bread is a staple at Italian restaurants. Also they serve cans of pop, which is annoying. On the bright side, that does give you the option of coke or Pepsi and they have the good ice if know what I mean. I think 2$ a can is a little much, I would say $1.50 is more reasonable. The entrées we selected is our favorite at Carrabba's. Maybe chief should go try Carrabba's and maybe get some inspiration. Would have loved to love this place although this experience wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. We wish them luck, and hope with our honest critiques they can improve upon themselves. Would love to see a good Alfredo and eggplant parmesan added to the menu. Also, FYI, they charge you to use your credit card... strange.

5.0 Service, 4.25 Food…read more My sister-in-law/friend treated me to dinner here tonight for my birthday. The ambiance is exactly as I remembered- Italian casual but quaint and comfortable. We were seated in a booth that allowed for private conversations. Our server was Frank and he was top notch! He consistently checked in with us in a very nice, helpful way. He shared that he also had experience working in the kitchen and tried most of the entrees, so it was great that he could offer that perspective when questioned about the menu choices. My friend ordered the Shrimp Al Forno with a chopped salad and I ordered the Seasonal Salmon with green beans and the smashed potatoes. Both entrees looked and tasted delicious. My friend's order was a huge portion of shrimp combined with pasta, mushrooms and cheese in a light cream-tomato sauce. She said it tasted lighter than it initially appeared and gave it the highest rating of 5 stars. My salmon was a generous portion with a slight bit of a cream dill sauce on top. The green beans and smashed potatoes provided the perfect delicious sides for the salmon. My first bite of the salmon had a slightly fishy taste but the combined green beans and potatoes balanced it out. I had recently eaten salmon at a restaurant in Toledo, OH where the salmon spoiled me, but this dish was also delicious (explaining a slight deduction of stars). Frank was fabulous in every way and we had a very enjoyable experience. The prices also seemed appropriate for the entrees. I should note that there are daily specials. Today was house wine for $4.50/glass. I ordered the Chardonnay but quickly exchanged it for a non Happy Hour upgraded wine and Frank very promptly remedied the situation and checked in to make sure I was satisfied-which I was. If you're in the Lambertville/Bedford area, it's a nice local option to have within a comfortable ambiance. Also, we both took home leftovers! Definitely recommend! Check out pictures! P.S. This restaurant only provides a complimentary birthday dessert if you dine on your exact birthday. I didn't really care, but my SIL asked, so it's worth noting. In contrast, some restaurants will give you a birthday dessert even if not celebrating on the exact day. While I didn't want dessert, it struck me as a missed opportunity on the restaurant's part.

That being said, you'll get more authentic Italian food at an Olive Garden than you will here. The bruschetta was just diced tomatoes on little slices of toast and a thick slice of cheese. No olive oil, absolutely no garlic, and no salt. I've never heard of an Italian restaurant that didn't use so much as a clove of garlic. I saw a little fleck of basil here and there, but it was essentially flavorless. I ordered the Alfredo and when it came out it tasted like burnt rubber and was inedible. The house Italian salad dressing tasted like pizza sauce with a lot of vinegar mixed in and was disgusting. Honestly it seemed like whoever put together the menu has never eaten Italian food before. Either that, or their aversion to garlic and flavor in general can only explained by vampirism. That might actually explain the lack of mirrors come to think of it. The service was also lackluster. Our waiter was civil but was visibly irritated when my party of three requested separate checks and even more so when one of us requested a salad without cheese due to an allergy. The atmosphere was nice, but when we mentioned the lack of cell reception we were told they opted for a decorative tin panel ceiling that blocks cell reception. Why that was a choice is unclear but it seems it was done on purpose which seems odd. Probably so people won't be able to Google what Italian food is supposed to taste like. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
