Better than what the reviews lead me to believe! Probably depends on the menu item you get, but the beef kabobs were fantastic. I asked for medium rare and got more medium, but they were juicy and tender and the flavor was great! The real standout is the flippin' cheese risotto, tho... You can order a side of it all on its own and boy howdy do I recommend doing so if your dish doesn't already come with a side! SO good. I'd come back just for that, it was so good. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. Well cooked and flavor with lemon that was not at all overwhelming. Pickled onions on top. Would order these again too! We also got the flatbread which has a nice garlic flavor. My dining companions liked the flavor of the dough. It made us want to try their pizzas next!

    Storefront for Georgio's Grill

We were fairly happy with our visit to this establishment. The location on Monroe St. in the Promenade Shops is quite convenient. The storefront is easy to spot at the elbow of the plaza. The facility features a bar in one half and a dining room in the other. We sat on the dining room side. Our server Lexi attended to us right away and did a great job during our entire visit. The menu featured a lot of familiar choices, including salads, sandwiches and entrees. I chose the Pastrami Cristo sandwich. The pastrami was terrific and the broccoli side was very nicely done. My wife had the chicken tenders and fries to share with our grandson. She was also quite happy with her choice. We had club soda to drink, for which they did not charge. With food, tax and a tip, our bill was $31. At $15.50 per person as well as feeding a 20-month old, I cannot complain about the value. We will definitely look forward to our next visit.

Wow, loved this place! It was worth driving 35 minutes off 80/90 for. John had the home made dough, hand tossed, wood fired 14" pizza with pepperoni, sausage & mushrooms. We lucked out to stop on $10.00 pizza night & extra toppings were $1 each. I loved my beef tenderloin kabobs accompanied with home made tzatziki sauce, pita, & a yummy side of broccoli that was grilled with butter & olive oil! I never had broccoli like that before. Really really good. Could have eaten another order of it if I wasn't so full. LOL! Too bad I didn't have room for the home made rice pudding or homemade chocolate chip cookie topped with gelato! Maybe next time!

Gigli pasta (pesto sauce) - it was very good!

We also ordered mochas, half sweet, which were delicious. All in all, a great selection of items that I would come back and order again in a heartbeat. I realized however that I didn't realize the challenges that elderly/disabled people face when dining out. I had taken my mom to her cardiologist and he suggested that I take my mom out for a late lunch- which I enthusiastically embraced. Upon arriving at My Way Bistro, we were able to park in a handicapped parking spot with a slope to the sidewalk, which was helpful to my mom, who relies upon a walker for mobility. Upon arriving inside the restaurant, we were given our choice of booths or tables. I never realized before that the tables and booths are very high for someone with limited ability to lift their arms. There were no other options that we saw and my mom did her best to settle into a booth that I found comfortable but the table was clearly too high for my mom. She was a great sport however and made do with the high tabled booth. My mom ordered a lamb gyro with fries and I ordered my usual Georgia Reuben with fries. My mom was very pleased with her gyro. It had lots of vegetables and meat, and she said the tszazicki (sp?) sauce was delicious. She also enjoyed the fries. I loved my Georgia Reuben because the cole slaw has a kick of black pepper and other ingredients that make it taste amazing. The homemade Thousand Island dressing was soooo delicious! I was a little disappointed in the fries because they were fried more than I prefer but were still good. Best of all, we both took home leftovers! Seriously, the plates couldn't adequately support the generous portions of food with heaping amounts of fries- and I say that as a good thing! The ambiance is that of an upscale sports bar, but was pretty quiet when we were there, even though screens were turned on. Our server was very responsive and efficient. Overall a great experience and I definitely recommend checking out My Way Bistro for amazing sandwiches (also offer salads that I haven't yet tried) that are levels up from typical bar food.

Found a parking spot not too far from the entry as the wind chill was in the single digits. MyWay was crowded, but we were seated right away. Needless to say, the noise volume was elevated. There was a large group of people on our side of the restaurant that seemed to know one another. They were rather boisterous and seemed to have consumed a fair amount of alcohol. Even witnessed a middle aged woman who could hardly walk out on her own. Prior to her bumper-pool walking style on the way out, as she was seated, she hoisted up her leg and placed her heel on the man's shoulder she was with. Mercy! Alcohol can cause strange events to happen. We both ordered the Blackened Salmon Quinoa Salad with the Walnut Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. Salad cost $18. To me, the salmon portion was a bit smaller than anticipated, but had a good blacked spiced mix and done very nicely.

So, the Italian sub is served hot, which isn't always my preference (I think most of their subs are served hot). I like the freshness of the cold cuts served cold. I will say that to their benefit, they don't microwave their sandwiches. They have a steamer they place the meats and cheeses into and then blast them with steam. It is a nice touch, much better than nuking things. Anyway, the bread they used didn't have much "personality" going for it. I love really crusty sub rolls with soft, pillowy insides. This was kind of a softer roll that didn't have any character. Kind of disappointing. The sandwich itself was dressed with mayo (my favorite condiment), but it really needed an acid note to balance the unctuous, fatty quality of the meat, cheese and mayo (hello vinegar...). The veggies just got lost and really didn't add a thing. I did request jalapenos on the sandwich, and unfortunately, they didn't add much (too mild). They do have one of those drink machines that offer what seems to be an endless choice of beverages (love those). There appears to be a cleanliness issue too. I got there around 12:30 and the floors were really dirty. The walls and vents could use some attention, etc. It just had the appearance of not being well kept. In summation, the place wasn't bad, but I can't say I'd go back anytime soon.

This is the real deal. The guy who runs it used to run a deli in Brooklyn. Toledo has plenty of good Lebanese shawarma platters, but this is a different category. Nothing else scratches the itch. They upped their price to about $15, but when they did that they increased the portion size and included a drink and a bag of chips for free, so I think it's still a pretty good deal. Often they'll mix in some fries with the platter, too. As well as lettuce, tomatoes, and grilled onions and peppers. And they have Vernors, which you can't usually get at NYC halal trucks. So it's almost like NYC-Detroit fusion, the best of both worlds LOL! I haven't tried the rest of their menu much. I tried a lemon chicken sandwich once, and it was not on par with the ones that I've from the better delis in Harlem and The Bronx. It was kind of soggy and salty. I might try more of the subs at some point, but I really think of this as a one dish place for now, in spite of their long menu. I think it's hard to express just how happy I am to have this place a short drive from me. The cost to obtain one of my favorite foods from my home in Toledo went down from about $500 and several hours of travel (the price of a round-trip flight to LaGuardia plus one night in a hotel in Queens) down to about $15 and a 10 minute drive.
