Fresh pasta and high quality ingredients! Need I say more? Honestly their pasta is amazing!! So so fresh. They use fresh pasta made right in front of you. Their menu has a wide range of options including build your own. Vegetarian and vegan friendly too! The seating (outdoor and indoor) are limited. Definitely worth a visit!

I'm not really reviewing the market's concept with looks pretty cool. Fresh pastas by weight and a fairly large selection of Italian specialties, perhaps I may have a better taste in my mouth after trying those items. In a crusty shell, I got their vegetarian pizza to go (personal size - which is actually a fair size and comes with a decent price tag $8 or 9 +T). Apart from having to wait a bit longer than you would expect for a fresh pizza it came out hot and looked pretty good. Even the first couple of bites seemed to be alright and even somewhat tasty, but then bite after bite it got worse and worse. There was an odd something going on with their dough and/or sauce and/or cheese and/or vegetable situation/combination, that made me feel a little yucky after eating it. I'm not a big fan of that happening and who would be. You should never feel yucky after eating a pizza. Even after eating a whole small. You may feel stuffed, but be happily full; satisfied and even proud you ate it all up. So, when I saw the high star rating I was a bit surprised, and by chance I saw another 1* review that concurred with my experience, so I don't feel like I'm the only one who had this feeling and experience. Note: Their system for where to go, stand and order where not very clear, so that could also use some work. The shop has a bit of a complicated layout which doesn't help matters. Maybe they've worked on that over the last several weeks/months, and if not they probably should to make it as safe and efficient as possible. I think that's fair to hope for...

I had researched it beforehand, and with all the excellent reviews and its prime location, I booked a table for 8. Let me tell you, it is one of THE best restaurants we've dined at here in Montreal. Location: It is nestled on the heart of Old Montreal- one of the prettiest parts of the city. Parking spots are found on the street- but be careful as this touristy part is notorious for giving out tickets. The best is to park in the science center garage close by - it's a bit pricy for $35 to park but you will not lose patience scavenging for a spot! The walk is also nice too. The service: We immediately were greeted by a hostess and seated at our table. We had a friendly waiter who provided great suggestions and pairings. He made sure to check on us through our dinner which we really appreciated. Food: Now the best part... the food was delicious!! We had a few appetizers to start: crispy calamari, arancini and a Caesar salad. They pride on their pizza being "authentic" Italian and after taking one bite, you can say yes it is! The crust is cooked to perfection, and they have many selection- we chose a classic margarita for the kids - and salame for the adults. Both were gobbled up quickly! Finally, we had said it was for a birthday celebration. And they brought out two beautiful dessert pizzas!!! I've NEVER tried anything like that before. They were absolutely delicious. Not only did we get one, but TWO which was more then enough for each member in our group to have one (and in my kids case, two or three haha). It was a major highlight to the night! So I definitely recommend coming here to celebrate special occasions as it will leave a memorable mark for you and each guest. I will definitely be back again soon!!!

Because of the positive exchange when I dropped by while in the neighborhood a year or two ago, I…read moredecided I would return. After all, Pizzeria Napoletana is one of the best known pizzerias in Little Italy, and in Montreal. I also learned that they accept credit cards, which is important for folks who are from out of town. I walked in and they were busy. After a short while, I was seated. There was a long table of about a dozen university-aged girls nearby and I was able to preview the service from that. My server was attending to them, checking in with them, and bringing them what they requested. He was also the same way with me, which was appreciated, so I can say that the service is now much better, or it was on this evening. There was a small amount of confusion. Pizzeria Napoletana puts their own names on their different pizzas. There's nothing wrong with that if that's what they want to do and many restaurants come up with their own names for dishes. However, for a handful of standard and popular pizzas in Italy and elsewhere, they should feature them with the same name and same ingredients. They do for the Margherita. However, I was hoping to find a "capricciosa" or a "quattro stagioni" like the ones I've eaten for years. I couldn't, so the server got me to the pizza closest to a "capricciosa" after telling him what they usually contain and we added an ingredient for a small upcharge. The pizza was definitely fine, but not memorable like I was expecting it to be. I think it had to do with the edges and interior of the crust, with the edge being a little crustier and the interior tearing apart too easily. If you've had the local pizza from a wood-fired oven in Naples or Campania, it generally is memorable. The prices seemed reasonable, less so with additions, and in the ball park for what is now a more and more sought after Little Italy. I am glad they now take credit cards because, if they didn't, I wouldn't have gone in. I avoid businesses that don't take plastic when traveling. Also, they are definitely authentic, dating back to something like 1948. If asked in English, they would not say "Naa-boo-lee-dahn," which is what a Jersey Shore Italian-American might say because they are too diluted and disconnected. Even if it's Gino the Canadian, he'll say Neapolitan in Italian closer to how it should be pronounced, even if in the regional dialect. Pizzeria Napoletana is fine. It's that I've still got a favorite pizzeria in the Montreal area. For most other people, this pizzeria would be a 4. It may be that I'm pickier when it comes to a type of food I grew up with.

Our waitress let us to our table. She was very hospitable and she spoke very good English and told us that they have a salad bar part of our meal. They put a lot of meat sauce and the spaghetti was just cooked right not to soft not too hard. My hubby's steak was cooked perfectly. I also tried the tiramisu not too bad. I wish they put a lot of rum. lol. Chocolate cake was delicious. The place looks elegant and expensive, although the prices are not too bad. I recommend this place.

Another interesting thing here is they have an unlimited self-serve salad bar for lunch (unsure about dinner). They had kale! There were a couple of salad dressings and a variety of toppings. What was memorable was the sweet, sweet corn. Bread and butter were served at our table. I didn't expect this for lunch. #14 Spaghetti with meatballs CAD$32 - The meatballs were good, but the spaghetti was lacking. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was just ok. (I had another Italian spot for dinner that night, and L'usine just didn't meet the bar.) The menu said this is the classic from L'usine. #19 Le Grand Prix CAD$38 - The lamb chops were pretty good! However again the pesto pasta was lacking again. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is down the stairs. It reminded me of being under a pirate ship for some reason. Only indoor seating

Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!
