We stopped by Lulu's Gourmet on a whim. For an appetizer, we had crispy rolls which were really good. We had beef pho and a beef noodle dish that was essentially the beef pho without the broth. I really enjoyed the pho, but the noodle dish was just okay. I also ordered the Thai boba, but they were out of tapioca and replaced it with jellies. I think the jellies were fruit flavored though and as a result the whole drink tasted funny. Stop by for the pho!

Another Vietnamese food gem in Maryland. Great pho, fresh-baked Banh mi, and super friendly service. So much more about this wonderful restaurant and other great Vietnamese in the DMV on tt @ChefRichieC

My husband and I keep coming back to Lulu's even though we moved, any time we're in the area we stop by to eat, their food is still delicious with great quality. The portions are great and they are consistent. The service is good and quick. The place looks great and there's enough room to eat in. I still highly recommended Lulu's, and we will continue to come back as long as they're still around.

I've been coming here for a few years now, and it's always delicious! Unfortunately this visit, the smell of the restaurant diminished my experience. It was very unpleasant and hard to avoid while eating. It was apparent that the restaurant was in need of a good, deep cleaning. Nonetheless, the pho broth was rich and delicious, and the bahn mi was yummy. Service is usually lackluster lol

I Really luv good Pho, the broth is awesome. This is my first time trying here and I absolutely love it.The staff was very friendly. The restaurant on the inside was surprisingly nice. I had a really good experience here.

    Vietnamese Coffee. Authentic.

Vietnamese owned. Highly recommended. Clean and service is amazing. Will be our goto spot. Recommendation for owner: Serve banh mi bo ne with fresh banh mi. Sizzling beef with omelette. Could be an amazing addition

Came to check out this spot for the Hong Kong waffle. Unfortunately they don't serve it anymore. ( they should remove it from their website). So we try the pho and the rice dish instead. U gotta order first then take your seat. Menu pretty simple. Phô , rice or noodle dish or bánh mì. Everything was fresh. They charge 50 cent for to go container.

Didn't plan on lunch but felt the need to take a break, so I followed along past the laundromat till my feet hit the curb outside. Didn't plan on just 'pho', I'm more the lemongrass w/beef and so on. But the soup hit the spot, and so did the iced coffee. Seating's casual and clean. Only two people working the tables and cashier counter. Wait was OK Did I enjoy myself? Yeah, sure. My one (minor) gripe is that the menu could've been a little clearer. it seemed more ala carte, so I wound up getting an extra side of noodles. No worries, we still managed to knock it down.

I came in, placed my order but didn't have the friendliest encounter with the cashier. Didn't get a welcoming vibe at all. I asked for mine to be extra hot and he said "can't do that!" The place was clean and had lots of diners. I got the no. 2 (well done brisket). I asked for extra jalapenos and I was charged for it. Only 50 cents but still. My go to location would never. My order was ready within a few minutes. Got home, put it together, but the meat lacked flavor and I just didn't enjoy it. The broth was just ok. Not for me and I won't be back!

However, I can tell a difference in the taste of the pho broth, which was bland with the absence of typical flavor spices. The egg on the crepe was excellent but the taste was bland. The best was the banh mi (pork) with extra meat was very good. The environment is pretty much the same with a slightly brighter look. Ordering was so easy and simplified. You can just go up to the cashier to place your order and pick a table to sit down. We enjoyed our specialty drinks while waiting for our food. The fruit teas with boba and jelly were awesome. It had a nice sweetness with delicious jelly. Our food came out quickly. We started with fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. There were a lot of large shrimps. The Golden crepe was huge with perfect crunchiness. This was perfect size to share with a few people. The Grilled Pork vermicelli was delicious. It was perfectly grilled with flavorful grilled onions. The P1 pho was yummy goodness with a hint of sweetness of the broth. The S4. Hue Spicy Lemon Grass Soup was good. I expected it to be very spicy which I was a bit concern. But it was a medium to mild spiciest. So I still have my taste buds to try the Banh Mi. We had B4 Grilled Pork and B10 Special Bahn Mi (so we can try the different meat). Like the menu stated the bread was freshly made with perfect crunchiness. The Bahn Mi were flavorful! It was perfectly balance with meat and vegetables. I'm definitely coming back.

Pho- soup base was delicious; we ordered small and it was SMALL, compared to other restaurants, we can get full out of a small pho, but here we didn't; meat quality was good. Banh mi- not authentic Vietnamese sandwich, Asian style but not Banh Mi. Quail- delicious Papaya salad- refreshing but on the spicy side. Pricing- not bad and not cheap either. We stopped at An Loi in Columbia for dinner and had a decent experience overall…read more I ordered the bò kho and thought it was pretty good. The broth was rich and flavorful, the beef was tender, and it was easily my favorite of the two dishes we tried. We also had the hủ tiếu Nam Vang. It tasted good, but it was noticeably different from the traditional version we're used to. In particular, they used chicken where we would normally expect pork, which changed the character of the dish quite a bit. It wasn't bad, just not the more traditional version we were hoping for. Service was very good. The food came out quickly, and the staff checked on us several times without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is casual and no-frills, but clean and comfortable, and the overall value seemed reasonable. There was nothing particularly wrong with the meal, and the service was a definite positive. We just tend to prefer more traditional Vietnamese dishes, so I'm not sure An Loi would be our first choice when we're looking for Vietnamese food in the area.

The combination rolls here are hands-down some of the best I've had: perfectly wrapped, packed with fresh herbs and shrimp, and that peanut dipping sauce is addictive. And the pho -- rich, fragrant broth, generous portions, everything tastes fresh every single time. It's the kind of bowl that ruins other pho for you. I've eaten here more times than I can count over the years, and I'm genuinely going to miss this place once I'm gone. My only complaint, and it's a running one: the building owners need to fix the damn A/C. It's been an issue for a while and really is the one thing holding back an otherwise perfect spot. If you're in Crofton, do yourself a favor and get the combination rolls and pho before you do anything else on the menu. Going to miss this place.

Came here for lunch on Monday (MLK Day) around 1:30 with my wife, and it honestly hit me that we've…read morebeen here plenty of times but I've never actually left a review. Which is wild, because I know I've taken a bunch of food pics here that I've never posted... complete waste lol. We walked in and were seated immediately and ended up getting the second-to-last available booth. Most of the room was couples on lunch dates, plus a group of friends, and later a party of about 7 took over one of the tables. Noise level was mostly moderate, with a quick sprinkle of loud when that bigger group got going, but nothing crazy, still totally fine for a date or a relaxed lunch. My wife ordered the A2 (slices of eye of round steak, well-done flank, and soft tendon). I got the A6 (eye of round steak and soft tendon). The pho was good, the broth had a lot of flavor. I did order extra noodles because while I like the pho here, the portions are a little smaller compared to some other spots we go to. I loaded mine up with bean sprouts, tore up some basil, and let the jalapeños sit in the bowl for a bit for heat. Lately though, I've been more about the chili oil, which they'll bring out if you ask. We also got shrimp summer rolls, which are always a go-to for me when eating pho anywhere. These were fresh, great texture, and the basil really pops. The peanut sauce is one of the best parts. Honestly, I could come here just for the summer rolls and that sauce. I also grabbed a taro smoothie, lightly sweet and creamy, solid choice. Food came out fast, maybe 8 minutes after ordering. Service here is consistently good. The staff is friendly, not pushy at all, and they actually check in on you without hovering. You can always get someone's attention if you need something. They even let a couple move from a table to a booth once one opened up, which I thought was a nice touch. The place itself is very clean, the tables and floors are always well kept. I don't really remember music, but there was a TV on playing college basketball. Overall vibe is relaxed. Parking can be a little tight since it's tucked behind a Rita's and the layout is kind of awkward, but even when it's full you're not walking far, just a compact lot. Price-wise, our total was about $40, but that included an extra summer roll and an extra smoothie. Without the extras, it would've been under $30. My only real critique is portion size for the price, specifically with the pho. It's not a deal breaker, but it's why this isn't my go-to spot when I'm really hungry. I'm a big guy with a big appetite -- my wife would be fine eating here any day of the week. Would I come back? Yeah. The food is good and the service is solid. For me, this is more of a quick lunch spot or a stop when I'm on the move, rather than a full dinner destination. Consistent, reliable, and never a bad choice, just depends on how hungry you are.
