Alas, the love is gone. My first pair of Warby Parker glasses were sunglasses, the day after my LASIK surgery in 2019 in Seattle. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued them. I bought my second pair of Warby Parkers on vacation on Venice Beach in 2021 (featured in my profile pic!). They were called the Sonia, and black. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued the black ones. WHY? I bought another color of Sonia, but I don't love them. My next were a pair of reading glasses. I have no idea why the frames were recommended to me. They were very unflattering. I donated them. Next, purchased in 2023 in Burlingame, were my favorite glasses of ALL TIME. Aja in Confetti Tortoise. I had Irlen lenses placed in them. My Irlen color is light pink and they looked AMAZING. I lost them two years later (heartbreak!!) AND THEY ARE DISCONTINUED. This is how much people love these glasses - people are selling them on Etsy and Ebay for $500 to 600. Why on earth would they discontinue them? But this next story is the cherry on the cake. I have ADHD which is why I lose glasses so often. That's on me. But this, this story drives me crazy. In 2025 I paid $$$ for an exam and expensive lenses for reading and computer work. The frames were amazing. Dasia in Ristretto Tortoise. But when I came to pick them up the prescription was wrong. They sent them back to fix. AND THEN EMAILED ME TO TELL ME THEY WERE DISCONTINUED. I stopped by on a Sunday around 1:00 PM with the intention of purchasing reading glasses, but my experience was disappointing. Despite waiting until I was the only customer remaining, I was never greeted or offered assistance by any staff members. I eventually left without the help I needed. read more

5 stars for Optician John (Jon?)! I stopped by to have 2 pairs of glasses adjusted: 1 was too tight and leaving marks on my nose from the pads, and the other kept slipping and needed to be tightened. John was patient, professional, and did a great job. Both pairs feel much more comfortable now. I've been coming to this location for at least 2 years, and while I've had mixed experiences with optician adjustments in the past (hence the 4 stars), this was by far the best. We had a bad experience trying to repair my mom's glasses at this store. The repair lady wouldn't fix them because she said they needed a new part. Since the lenses were fine we asked if we could just buy a new frame. At first they offered no discount. Upon speaking to the manager, they offered 10% off a new $150 pair of frames. We pleaded because they were just out of warranty and he said the best they could do is 20% off. I'm giving 2 stars because at least they offered a discount. But here's the worst part. They just didn't seem kind here. I left this store feeling like we weren't welcomed. So we went to a different Warby Parker location and they replaced the frames for free. Excellent customer service. I came in today to discuss the glasses I ordered weren't right. Van greeted me with a warm welcome, water and he was attentive while I waited. Then I met with John. He immediately knew what went wrong, explain everything clearly on what the next steps were. I am grateful for the outcome. Spent a few visits over a month here as I was trying glasses, then getting an eye exam, then buying glasses, then refitting, then buying again. Great eye exam, and the doctor was very thorough, explaining everything in great detail, which made me feel much more confident about my ocular health (good news, my prescription got *better*.. haha, take that aging!) Great staff here. Friendly people with great knowledge of their products, style, and can find just what you're looking for amongst walls of frames. Great selection. Also had a great promo on contacts, so I ended up getting them through WP as well. read more

Pretty annoying appointment. The doctor and exam was actually fantastic - efficient and friendly. However, like others mentioned they take very limited insurance options and don't tell you until you check in. As in "VSP only if you work at Bloomberg" or "eye med only if you work in healthcare". I came here so I could order glasses and try them on in store but when I exited my appointment the store was filled with a ton of kids due to a school holiday and the entire store absolutely reeks of cigar because of the tobacco store next door. I paid for my prescription and left without ordering glasses because the smell was making me sick. Three years ago they also ordered the glasses in my old prescription. Not sure why I came back but this is the last time. read more

Off the top, they do not tell you that they do not take your insurance until you get there, you have to pay them then, submit your claim. I did not think the selection was all that. They do not measure your face to the glasses. So they keep slipping down my nose, and the glasses are not the correct RX, I can't use them. /but, they were pretty cheap. read more

First of all, everyone at this store was very nice and the optometrist was great. What was not good, was they failed to tell me there is a huge problem with WP's eyeglasses lab. There was no issue in me paying for expedited service and shipping when they knew fully that they wouldn't fulfill that timeline. Glasses still not done or shipped when they should have been finished and to me by today. Customer service is all outsourced to the Philippines with no way for you to talk to anyone in the "lab" or anyway to contact someone at the actual storefront. Avoid.. read more

Bought another progressive glasses from here, somehow the new prescription didn't feel right. Went back for another new prescription free of charge, and they send frames back to change lens. But somehow the whole frame got lost and couldn't be replaced because it's discontinued. So I was fairly upset because I love that frame and that's the whole point that I purchased the frame! After calling customer service, they told me to go back to store to get a new glasses completely free of charge, they refunded me $550 and I got a pair of new progressive glasses in a week. All the associates there were super friendly and helpful, no attitude, very welcoming, best customer services!my whole family got all their glasses here now. They really offer lots of stylish frames and the best price. Their progressive lens are way better than Costco or Jin, a lot more clear, and you could see with side eyes! read more

I'm a fan of Warby's Japanese nylon frames--lightweight, stylish, and a great value. But this location? It's like customer service took a personal day. My experiences at Los Gatos and Santana Row were full of smiles and help; here, the team seems hypnotized by their iPads. Maybe it's the cigar fumes wafting in from next door, but the friendliness definitely went up in smoke. I came to do a simple exchange and instead got a masterclass in passive negativity. Waited twenty plus minutes to have someone take my order, everyone was "busy", suffered systematic neglect, very frustrating. I have white hair, some mileage and don't fit their marketing target group. Was purposefully abandoned even with chosen frames, prescription and viable plastic. I have been to WP in NY, LA, and Houston, but I liked the Burlingame location. Here I found Excellent staff who is very professional and love this lively location too. Once you walk in, everyone is wearing a mask. The person who helped was very polite and helpful. Good thing he didn't push for any sale and let me take my time to choose what I was looking for. Burlingame location has a large variety which good to see many choices. Please check out this location; oh, parking can be hard to find on the street, but back sides of the shops, plenty of meter parking is available. read more

I'll be quick- this location was superb. I've purchased Warby Parker glasses (2x) from the locations in SF. I got a new prescription so I figured I check out the never-fail Warby Parker but in this new location. Hands down, this was the best glasses experience I've ever had. AND this is why: A quick 20 minutes. Almost a dozen glasses tried on. A lovely sales associate named Paige. (If a manager is reading this, give Paige a raise! The customer service I received was OUTSTANDING.) Stunning recommendations. Low bridge options. Easy payment and shipment process. Easy available public parking. (Always an issue in SF) Added bonus - lots of food and shopping in the area post-glasses shopping. My only regret (which isn't really a regret)... I'm probably gonna end up buying an additional pair because the choices the associate selected were all so complimenting. There's 7 days in a week, so buying another pair is justified. Lol. Wouldn't bother coming here. I had an appointment at 2:15. Showed up at 2:21 and thirty seconds(literally), they turned me away for being more than 5 minutes late haha! Their policy is if you're over 5 minutes late you must reschedule. I was 6.5 minutes late, and expressed that to the receptionist, she didn't care! She said to reschedule. Well considering my wife and I had just travelled from San Francisco(with our 16 day old baby), we both canceled our appointments and went out for lunch instead! It was actually fairly entertaining for us to see such bad business. On top of this, it wasn't a busy day. There was appointments available after our time slot. Did they not want to work today maybe? I'm an avid Ames frames person and have been a Warby Parker customer since they had first store opened in SF. This is the 6th pair of Ames that I've had that experienced paint coming off and experienced the paint smeared between my nose. Prior to that I had two pairs in turquoise that experienced the same thing. I thought that if I switch frame colors the quality may be different but they're all the same. It has been difficult to get a different pair of frames because I love this frame so much. But the quality of the materials has been crumbling down. I tried to take it to Warby Parker they only provided me a 10% off at the store. Then the staff that helped me laughed at me when I mentioned that I wear eyeglasses at the gym. I wash them regularly after my gym session and I wipe them off immediately after rinsing in water. As a long term customer since 2010, I've been humiliated and disrespected at the store. I walked in knowing exactly which pair of glasses I wanted. I spent about 10 mins on the Warby Parker website the night prior and did the virtual try on so it was just a matter of trying them on in person. I was immediately greeted by several associates but Yolanda specifically helped me find the Sonia frames and complete my order. She was so sweet, suggesting a few different styles and I actually ended up getting a pair of non prescription sunglasses as well. I definitely lucked out as I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The opticians here are friendly, helpful and patient. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. I went in to get my clear glasses cleaned because there was so much specs of dirt that got caught. They happily cleaned it and my sunglasses that were also probably just as dirty. The optician also answered a lot of my questions since they are out of network for me and gave me a price break down. read more

I received exceptional service from Dr. Colin Leung. He's definitely an eye candy, a sight for sore eyes if you will. I swear this man looked into my soul during my eye exam. Due to COVID, I don't really want to go shopping for eye-glasses in store. I thought I would give Warby Parker a try as I have heard good things about the company. Picking 5 pairs at home try-on is very straight forward and fun. I do wish I could pick more than 5 at a time as it takes a long time for it to be delivered. Well, it's takes about a week. But, we are all spoiled by Amazon with its 2 days delivery. Anything more than 2 days seems like eternity! Anyhow, I have tried on all five and found one maybe. I went back online to see maybe I could find something else to try before I make my decision. I picked another 5. But, they will not ship it until they receive my return of the first 5 pairs. Even though I dropped down my first 5 pairs the very next day, it takes them a while to process it. So, I have completely forgotten about Warby Parker when my second box arrives. Fast forward, I found the pair I want and place my order online. They are pretty good in emailing me update on their processing status. I got my glasses maybe 2 weeks later. I like it, but it needs to be adjusted. So, I have to go to the Burlingame store to get it fitted. The staff is super duper nice. He has adjusted my glasses, but he recommends a lower bridge version of this frame. So, it has a wider coverage on my bridge (as I hate it when it slides down). He just ordered it on his iPad and I got an email confirmation immediately. There is no fee for switching the frame. A few weeks later, I went to the store to get my new glasses. Another super duper friendly staff helps me this time. She got my new glasses and adjusted it perfectly. Gave me a cute tote bag to carry my new glasses. She said I could keep my old one as well. Seriously? I now have two pair of glasses for the price of one. I guess they can't really use my old one. But still, it's really nice gesture!! Warby Parker has just made a true fan of me. I am getting my driving sunglasses there for sure. I would probably shop in store instead of online though. The store is very clean and I see them sanitize all of the displayed frames after being try-on. It is much more time efficient to try on all the frames in-store instead of waiting for 5 frames at a time for in-home service. :) read more

I ordered a pair of glasses through the website about a year ago and have been very pleased with them. Unfortunately my dog got ahold of them and chewed up one of the arms. I went into the Burlingame store expecting to have to get new frames. I was so surprised and pleased when Paige said she could replace the arm with one from a sample pair. She not only replaced it, did so in only a few minutes, but didn't charge me a cent! The whole experience lasted about 15 minutes and I walked out with glasses that are like new. Thank goodness we have these alternatives to ophthalmologist stores. Went to the one opposite Warby Parker and I wish I hadn't. I expected expert advice on frames that would suit me but sadly no. It was all a big mistake and total waste of money (hundreds of dollars). Gave up and went to Warby Parker - the app's virtual try on and at home try on is amazing. They help you find styles that suit your face. Ended up finding a pair and loving them. Thank you for making it all super easy!! Will be back soon for more!! read more
