The woman at the counter was more than helpful in finding my store credit and in helping me pick out a replacement. Very personable, sweet and professional. The only thing that outmatched her great customer service was her stunning good looks. She first showed me around the store to check if there was a particular-colored shirt in stock that I was looking for, and when that didn't work out she offered to check online. Ok so I am not the type to sit and write reviews on positive and or negative experiences HOWEVER, Samantha and Jordan at the Luluemon store in the Forum made my shopping experience the best!!!! I had gone in there two weeks prior and was so overwhelmed and disappointed in the customer service that I just grab a random pair of pants(no clue what I bought) and left. The leggings sat in the bag in my. At for two weeks cause (1) I didn't like what I bought and (2) I was not about to go back in there. Thankfully I did! These two ladies were so incredibly helpful! Full of information, advice, and suggestions. They were both very understanding and paticient as I tried on many many different styles, lengths, and fabrics. Many customers object to LLL price point versus other brands like Nike and Under Armour (which I switched both out for) but after purchasing a few pieces which outperformed AND looked better than the previous 2 brands... Why go backwards? It all boils down to preference. LLL fabric types, styling and discrete logo's are the most comfortable sportswear I've ever used. Even after a serious training routine, I was surprised that my LLL gear didn't get heavy with sweat. I constantly hear the SA's are indeed snooty and judgmental if you're not a Yogi (I've noticed), but it doesn't bother me. Beyond that, I've never had a quality issue. I've returned an item and they were eager to exchange it without a hassle. To stand behind your product is essential. I'm hooked! read more

Such bullcrap! Ok, I now understand even better the very troubling culture that underpins Lululemon. A recent Huffpost article reveals that shunning size-10 and above shoppers is actually a key intentional element of Lululemon's marketing strategy. What? ! ? Stepford-Shopper-Size 6 here, but here's my story. I used to be a very very loyal Lululemon customer, patronizing this store as well as a number of others in my frequent business travels. But in fact, their "policy" of not answering the phone is nearly ubiquitous across the country. The smugly offered rationale is often uttered and patently false. On several occasions I've tried to reach multiple difficult-to-travel-to Lululemons by phone. Same BS message about being "present" for other customers and thus not being able to answer the phone OR RETURN CALLS FOR UP TO 24 HOURS. Then I've walked into the store to find employees hanging around in the back, chatting with each other, and doing NEXT TO NOTHING, with no customers or ignoring the few in the store. This has happened in the Philadelphia, Swarthmore, and multiple NYC stores, as well as in Carlsbad and San Diego. I have a long list of stores at which I spend thousands of dollars each year. Lululemon has "smugged" its way right out of my business--and I have several colleagues / friends who've had exactly the same response. If only Lululemon's customer service, or at least their non-provision of same, were as transparent as their pants. You'd think that, at a time like this, in light of the transparent-pants controversy, insulting customers' intelligence and loyalty in this way would be the LAST course Lululemon would follow. Smug rationalization referenced above: "Hey S., I can understand how this is frustrating. While we do appreciate those guests who are calling, in order to be present and provide the best possible in store experience we aren't always able to get to the phones. Let me just start off by saying I LOVE lululemons athletic wear. I have purchased all of my workout clothes from this store. However, this last time I went in I had a problem with a pair of pants I bought just 3 months ago (there was a hole and the material wore off) and a guy told me to talk to a girl named kelly. She was very rude about it and would not fix the problem. She was snooty and I felt like I was talking to a wall because her IQ is about a 4 (except a wall doesn't have an ugly look on their face like they smell something nasty). I will never ever go to this store again or buy anything here. I would rather drive down to the location in la jolla to make a purchase. read more

I have gone into this store twice now, and have gotten the worst service! I feel like the employees only pay attention to you if you blatantly look like you have money. The first time I went in the store and waited at least 10 minutes standing by the dressing room to try on items and employees kept passing me by and not once asked me if I needed help. I did end up buying an outfit, but almost didn't because of the awful service. The second time I went in just confirmed what I thought when I received the same kind of service. Love the clothes, hate the service. Specific to the Carlsbad location. I've been a fan of Lululemon since I first discovered the store in Santa Monica-used to always swing by the one in Newport Beach when up in Orange County. I was so excited when the store opened here, just a hop skip and a jump away from me. The pants are the best-for any sport really. I wear the crops for the gym, running, yoga, zumba, I just cannot say enough about this product. YES they are expensive, but totally worth it. The yoga pants are my work from home wardrobe, so comfy. I also swear by their sportsbras, again, for all activities. The hot yoga sports bras are great. They've also been making really cute jackets and scarves lately. Oh and the headbands-love them! I also love the inspiring quotes on their bags; seriously you've done such a great job identifying, attracting, and hooking your target market. I've even started buying my husband clothes from there, and now he's hooked too. However.... Whenever I walk into your store, I feel like I am treated like an outcast. With the exception of Mallory, every sales associate I've ever interacted with there has been rude, non-responsive, and definitely not in alignment of any of the brand values that you convey elsewhere throughout your business. The greeters seem afraid to talk to you, others seem to be really busy "stocking", while others are talking to their friends about everything other than customer service and possibly acknowledging customers. When I was in there this week, I felt like the representative checking me out had been inconvenienced beyond belief. What most struck me was the lack of a "thank you" at the end of the sale, which sounds trivial, but reallyspeaks volumes about what your sales associates, the extension of your brand (are they ambassadors?) think of clients. Clients who, despite rude service, keep coming because of the product. This is just one of countless rude episodes I've experienced, and it seems that many others on yelp have as well. hoping someone in management or customer service sees this and finally wakes up to the problem this store has. read more

I have been this this lululemon a few times, and I have to say, this was the first time I felt satisfied without feeling overburdened. Just a month shy of Christmas, and this has been the only time I have been able to come in here and stroll around and not feel rushed to try things on and pay or felt like I was shopping in someone else's way. The lady at the front greeting everyone was very cheery and helpful when I was looking at the pullovers. I am not a die hard lulu fan bc of how expensive it is, so shelling out 90 dollars for a shirt to run in is just not feasible, but I do love their capris and have found them to be the best things since sliced bread to run in during the cooler months. I was disappointed with the studio pant when I tried it on due to it pulling down in the butt area whenever you bend over. I am very hard on most clothes so I usually give them the twist and bend test before purchasing to ensure the will keep all the important parts covered and for such adorable comfy pants, they did not deliver and I am heartbroken. I just wish the creator for Lulus would give a little more love for those of us ladies with a little more junk in the trunk. read more

I came in on a Monday night and it was pretty slow. I was greeted at the entrance, and Jenny was really nice asking if we needed any assistance in the pants section. She even asked me to start a room for me. The cashier that rang me up was also super nice and asked me if I needed any tips in regards to washing my shirts (this was my first time buying these shirts, so she was very helpful). Overall it was a good experience, I was a little hesitant of going because I'm not the average yoga person - size small, but no one was judgemental at all. I gave it 4 stars because they didn't carry size 12 in many of the colors that I wish they would have had, if they did then I would have definitely spent a lot more money. read more

I have been shopping at the various Lululemon stores including Beverly Hills, Berkeley and now the Forum in Carlsbad for close to six years. I always like their clothing and style. HOWEVER, I recently had a BIG problem which influences why I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN ! My sister-in-law tried to return an item....even for an exchange...she did not want her money back and still had a receipt and it was not worn. It had been 3 months, true...but they simply said with a smile "We are not taking the skirt back and we cannot offer you anything else." I am surprised that businesses can have that attitude and still be in business and in these difficult times that they can be so uppity as to not work with you as a client......shame on you Lululemon..especially you claim how green you are and how people friendly.....NOT ! read more

The girls who work here are so consistently rude and awful I think they must train them to be that way. I was not greeted when I walked in and when I was ready to try something on I stood there for 5 minutes while everyone ignored me. I finally approached a disgruntled looking girl folding clothes and asked her if she could open a room for me. When I asked if they had a skirt in a size four the sales associate laughed and said, "I think you're more like a six." All the employees behave like mean girls in high school who think they're too cool to talk to you. The customer service I received was out of this world! Hayley went out of her way to locate an item I was hoping to purchase for my daughter for Christmas. It wasn't available in the Carlsbad store, and there was an issue with the store's phones. Hayley actually used her own cell phone to call a store in the LA area. I was so impressed! Yes, this place is expensive. Yoga pants are $100 and sports bras are $50-$60. However, I was impressed with their selection of clothes and that they carry large sports bra sizes as well. The material is very comfortable and flattering. read more

The La Jolla store didn't have the size I was looking for in a certain item so they called the Carlsbad store for me to check and no one picked up. While I was walking around La Jolla I tried calling 5 more times over the course of 2 hrs and no one ever picked up the phone. I emailed the Carlsbad store 3 hrs before closing asking if they had my item in stock so I could pick it up in the morning on my drive home to Los Angeles and I didn't hear back until I got home. Disappointed in the customer service especially since the La Jolla location was great. read more

I ordered the Go the distance hat online, it is a one size item. That isn't an issue, i wear hats, all the time for golf and one size is the norm. I loved the color. i received the hat and the depth of the hat is too shallow, it just sort of sits on the top of your head, doesn't even come to my ears, i cannot wear it. I drove to the Carlsbad store to show them how it fits and was told bluntly no returns, I must say I never noticed that it was a final sale item, due to hygienic reasons, I have always tried on hats in stores!!! Aside from that with all their "karma" why take a chance with an online sale of this item that you are not seeing in person and won't take back. i emailed the website and got an egotistical response saying they will stand by the store! the issue is the design of the hat, that was never addressed by Nick who responded to my email. I have never seen a hat so poorly designed. I just bought 3, 89.00 pairs of bottoms from Lululemon. I'm done with Lululemon and their snobbish stores and lack of customer appreciation! read more

I agree with Diana P below on the majority of her comments. Definitely they are very cute and novel workout clothes... I wear the running skirts and tops for playing tennis. I have sent three or four different tennis buddies to Lulu to shop for their apparel for tennis. They are very expensive... and now that I know they have moved their operations to China, I more than likely will not be back as I have a hard time with paying those prices under the circumstances Diana mentioned below. My experience differs in one area... if the staff was overly attentive at the time of Diana's entry, they definitely went the other way! I find them very aloof, and difficult to find when I need someone. They seem to have attitude... and I have no clue what that is all about. And until last night when I made a $200 last and final purchase, someone actually asked me if I needed help... and when they didnt have my size in something I wanted, she actually picked up the phone and called another store. That was the FIRST time someone put some effort into finding something for me I needed... usually the response is "no we dont have that size, you should have come in earlier...." I always say, great sales people are a direct result of great leadership and management. You might want to look into that. read more
