Service started off rough. It took about 30 minutes before we were helped, which felt excessive. I understand that it was busy, but the initial wait definitely set a negative tone. Our waitress also forgot my water at first, which added to the slow start. That said, the food redeemed the visit. I ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and it was genuinely excellent. The flavor balance was strong, creamy and cheesy with a solid buffalo kick. The portion size was satisfying. The ambience was nice and felt like a classic diner. Even though it was busy, the lively atmosphere actually made the place feel welcoming and energetic rather than chaotic. The full dining room gave it that authentic diner experience. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. The long wait impacted the experience, but the food and atmosphere were strong enough that I would consider giving it another chance during a less busy time. read more

I found a hair in my food. The serverdid not have hair pulled up in a ponytail it was definitely hers...blonde hair. The cook had black and it was pullled up into s ponytail. The server's hair was past her shoulders and blonde. From my experience as a retired server, I know that if your hair touches your shoulders, it is to be pulled up. Very disappointing. I was hoping for "hairless" food. If it happens again, I will address the server and the health department. read more

We live close by in Arlington. We venture over to Lulu's on avg. once a month. Everything I have tried on the menu is well made, tastes good and served with a smile. The staff treat folks like they have known you since you were born. Drinks are good, but now let's talk about the pancakes. The pancakes most of the time are so big they hang over the edge of the plate (no kidding) and they are excellent. You can get them with blueberry, or strawberry topping if you'd like but i prefer the pancakes plain and dusted with powdered sugar. If you are someone who has a BIG appetite you may be able to them all, but for us lightweights here, you can get a good 2 to 3 meals out of them. The rest of the breakfasts are good as well. The thing I have ever found "wrong" with Lulu's is, if it's busy it can be quite loud at times. Give them a try and I'm sure you will like it just as well. Enjoy! read more

Ordered the bacon jelly burger on the advice of the server. You should do the same. Not really "jelly." But yes on the bacon... it's more like their version of a French Dip only with a great burger on a soft and warm Kaiser roll. Delicious! Also got the homemade Mac and cheese. Super cheesy. Service was outstanding. Top notch. And friendly. Close enough to the expressway that it's a pleasant jaunt into Bluffton. Totally recommend. read more

The chicken salad was great and the fruit was both abundant and fresh (strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, grapes and a whole banana). My husband ordered the burger and fries plus Mac and cheese. We squeaked in fifteen minutes before closing when we were on the road traveling. We apologized for coming in close to closing, said we'd be quick. Our waitress assured us it was fine. We ordered and received a hot, fresh well made meal at a real fair price. Our service was perfect. The place was clean, bathroom too. This was a great stop not far off the interstate. I ate breakfast today at Lulu's for the first time. I ordered eggs over easy, bacon and pumpkin pancakes. Eggs were great. I was hesitant to order the sourdough toast to dip in them but it was perfect! The bacon was really fatty & chewy so I didn't eat it. The pumpkin pancakes were great and I recommend them while in season. My daughter ordered the princess pancake and really liked it. It was a Mickey Mouse pancake with sprinkles, cool whip and strawberries. The service was excellent and the prices were really good. You get a lot of food for very little money. Stopped by on our way down to Memphis from Michigan and had a bite to eat at this little diner. It's a cute small space with tables and booths and looks newly remodeled. Only issue is the awfully drabby carpet in the entire dining area. Who puts carpet in a diner? Eww. Besides that we were seated wherever we liked, there was no sign that says to seat yourself so we stood there for a minute confused until a waitress let us know to sit where we liked. As soon as we walked in there was not one person who didn't stare us down, we clearly looked different than all the locals and they weren't shy about letting us see it lol ignorant people I guess. We had a nice server I told her I was keto and she was very helpful in giving me a salad option with my omelette instead of all those carbs, very sweet. The coffee there was great too. Over all, it was uncomfortable having all those people staring at me and my family for being different than what they see everyday but at least our sever and experience with them was pleasant. read more

I'd give 3.5 if half a star was an option, but since it's not... LuLu's was good. It was an inviting little place that was clean (including bathrooms!) and everyone was very friendly. Should I be back in the area I would for sure go back. My eggs were really good, ditto the sausage. It just came to the table a little cool. Had I not inhaled it, I'm confident they would have rectified in some way. I will/would order it again (and probably inhale it again should it be cool to the touch). It was really tasty! The pancakes were ginormous (!) and the presentation was very appealing with powdered sugar sprinkled evenly atop and a big 'ol dollop of butter in the center. With as attractive as the pancake plate was, I hate to admit that I didn't really like them, yet unsure why. I'm not accustom to eating pancakes with anything more than syrup, perhaps it was the powdered sugar I didn't care for. At the same time, I couldn't tell if they may not have been cooked all the way through. They seemed as though they may have been a little batter-ee beyond the edges. Dunno. We stopped here on our way to the Smokies, and I'm so glad we went a little off the highway to this family-owned gem! Everything was homemade and delicious! Our group had French toast, omelettes, pancakes, home fries, and oatmeal. The fruit on the pancakes and oatmeal was fresh and you could custom order what you wanted! Yummy!! I ordered the Breakfast Club Sandwich. It has eggs over hard, cheese, bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on thick wheat toast. It came with home fries and they happily added onion to them for me. My server's name is Destiny and she is totally fabulous!! She is full of smiles and super sweet!! The breakfast staples are on point: pancakes and biscuits and gravy were just as ordered. Nothing fancy. Hot and good. The water tasted a little funny to the most beautiful of wives... The breakfast club is an overwhelming amalgam of egg, American cheese, breakfast meats, lettuce, and tomato. The kind of thing that is better on paper than in person. The home fries had a good bacon grease taste, but could deal with a crisping up. Service, bathrooms, and price were all good. All in all if I wanted a hearty breakfast Lulu's is a good bet. Ate here for breakfast. Service was quick and friendly. Good menu healthier options if you are looking for that. Coffee was kept full and hot. Homemade bread and preserves were like grandmas. Bacon was thick and cooked just the way I like it, a little chewy. Over easy eggs were cooked too much. Jalapeño omelette was awesome! Home fries with a few onions added were delicious too. 3.5 stars. Came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and of course it was super busy. However, we ended being seated after about five minutes, so the wait wasn't too bad. I ordered corn beef hash with home fries. It was supposed to have a poached egg on top, but when I cut into the egg, it was so overdone that it was like a piece of rubber. The waitress did come back and ask how our food was, and when I told her about the egg, she said unfortunately the cook had been doing that a lot that morning. So she got me a new poached egg and took a dollar off the bill for the egg. Overall not a bad experience and I'd probably go again. read more

Went this morning and had an overall good experience. The sign on the door said masks required but I couldn't tell how much they were enforcing it because people were eating. It wasn't too busy so they allowed guests to seat themselves. Our server was very good about wearing her mask but I did notice another server wearing her mask down around her chin (not covering nose or mouth). Food was great! Went on a Saturday morning at 9am. We were a group of 15 plus 2 toddlers. Everything looked really great. Portion sizes were generous. Service was good considering the size of our party and we only had one server. I would definitely return if i was in the area. My friend and I are on a mission to try many breakfast restaurants and find our favorites. Today we tried Lulus and unfortunately were disappointed. When we first stepped in the dinner it was busy, but they wouldn't take our names. Instead they took the names of the people who came in 5 minutes after us and sat them first. When we were finally sat we ordered our food and waited. When our food came out the home fries were cold and the bacon was greasy to the point of on the spot heart attack. I also order no onions on my food when I took my first bite of food I got a mouthful of onions. We were sadly very unsatisfied with our food and most likely not be returning to Lulus any time soon read more
