Great little gem on Noble St in Anniston, AL. My wife and I went there for lunch with son's family . Very neat and clean and classy . Their chef puts good energy into their menu. We had a variety of things for the six of us. They apparently have a new chef and menu. Everyone loved the food. We WILL be back! read more

Food was okay, but overpriced in my opinion, for Anniston. We sat outside in the courtyard area, and at times was difficult to locate our server who was inside in the air conditioning. January 2025! We were there this past weekend. Two servers were fighting in front of everyone. Two tables got mad and stormed out. We only saw our server twice during the entire night. My steak was tougher than a boiled owl. We didn't realize it would be dinner AND a show! It was a dumpster fire to say the least! I sent them an email regarding this but it was ignored. Discovered LuLu's during an online search Traveling home toward Savannah from Tupelo. If your travels bring you between Atlanta and Birmingham, do yourself a favor.... take the extra 12 minute drive north of I-20 and acquaint yourself with the tastes of Lulu's! My wife started with a wonderful, not too sweet martini named Tis The Season, a combination of ginger, cranberry juice, vodka and lime juice garnished with candied cranberries. Wow!! Our appetizer was the baked crab dip with crostini which had just enough spice to tease the palate without being overly hot. They were out of the Lamb Osso Buco that night but my wife ordered the Salmon with Fingerling Potatoes while I enjoyed the Scallops over Risotto with a squash puree that was amazing. We were too full to eat the Creme Brûlée cheesecake but we are looking forward to indulging tomorrow. (We are adults so we can eat dessert for breakfast!) Came in on a Friday and it wasn't busy. Was seated quite quickly. The hostess was friendly. The server seemed new to serving people food, plates and drinks weren't removed in a timely manner. The server forgot to serve the bread basket, and only did so when I asked for it. The bread was cold and stale. I ordered the 16 oz. New York strip, for $45 I was disappointed bc it literally did not look like it was 16 oz. The steak itself was cooked medium, exactly the way it was requested, but the seasoning on the steak was odd. My companion also did not like the seasoning on his filet. The arugula salad was nice, the pecans were candied and crunchy and the arugula spicy, it went well with the feta and the dressing. My daughter did not like her Mac and cheese, which at $8 was also disappointing. She said it was too smoky and oily. The frites were possibly the best thing about the meal. The herbs set off the starchy potatoes, my son really enjoyed them. The fried green tomatoes came with a tomato jam and pimento cheese, it was well received by my husband. For dessert, the banana pudding was all premade items, not a single banana in sight. This $10 dessert lacked flavor and bananas. We also ordered the crème brûlée cheesecake, which looked very pretty but lacked sweetness, as if they forgot to add any sugar, it tasted like sour cream or crème fraiche totally. The last dessert was the blackberry cobbler, my husband and companion both said it was the best dessert ordered that night but it was very cloyingly sweet and much too decadent to finish in one sitting. 4 people inside when we arrived with reservations. No greeter. Stood and waited 8 minutes while bartender hunched over his phone and didn't look up. No customers at bar. We had just contemplated going elsewhere when bartender turned around and noticed us. He seated us at a table that still had food from previous patron. We asked to be moved, and were. Waitress proceeded to tell us what they were out of...approximately 9 items, including salad, pulled pork bbq, fried green tomatoes, salmon, pork chops, etc. We ordered crab dip because we had greatly enjoyed it twice before, Crawfish egg rolls, Lulu's Gumbo, and Special Tuna with rice and veggies. Another couple came in and ordered drinks. After being told about the food shortages, the man said they would just have drinks and then decide what they could eat. Waitress returned a moment later to say they didn't have ingredients for his Manhattan. Our waitress appeared to be new. No starter plates appeared. My crab dip was topped with dry bread crumbs, not baked cheese as in the past. Dip was dry and tasteless. Sliced baguette bread (buttered) had been substituted for grilled crostini. Two crawfish eggrolls cut in half to make 4 mini-egg rolls were very good. Husband's gumbo appeared with the promise that my entree would follow in a short time. Tuna with rice and grilled veggies was quite good, but tuna was overcooked and slightly tough. I asked for some soy sauce and was obliged. At one point when waitress came to collect our bill, she said, "I wonder where our bartender is?" He had disappeared shortly after we were seated. There were two customers sitting at the bar by this time, totaling 6 patrons in all, including us, to be served. We overheard the couple next to us remark about the food shortage. Our waitress was manning the bar when we left, so we assume the bartender went AWOL. Then we saw another waitress and my husband noticed the chef or a kitchen person step out into the dining room. We asked why the crab dip recipe had been changed, and our waitress said she'd mention to the chef and give us a discount. Discount was $3 off an $18 appetizer! Our total bill was $105, before a handsome tip. I had 1 pineapple Mojito and husband had 2 beers out of the few beers they actually had on hand. They were out of Yuengling, of all things. She kept trying to explain their selection shortages as "supply chain problems." Must be a long-standing problem, since another reviewer mentioned it in April this year. Great food and atmosphere! My husband and I went for date night and felt very fancy. They had delicious scallops and pork chops. We don't drink alcohol, and the bartender made me a delicious muffled mint and orange water. We also enjoyed the wall art by our table. I accidentally left my purse in the foyer and the manager reached out to make sure I got it back. I'm so thankful for this place! We will definitely be going back read more
