But I've had two bad experiences with the same employee in the drive thru and it's hard to ignore. The first time, my wife and I ordered two meals and were given just one small salsa, not enough for even one person. When we came back to ask for more, her attitude was noticeably rude. The second visit wasn't any better. We ordered four tacos, she repeated the order correctly, but we were only given three. When I pointed it out, she tried to charge my card again for the missing taco instead of fixing the mistake. On top of that, we were again given just one small salsa. When we asked for more, she walked away, said something under her breath, and came back with a couple more with an attitude like we were bothering her. I'm not sure what her issue is, but being greeted with friendliness and basic customer service goes a long way. These experiences have made me think twice about coming back when she's working, which is disappointing because I do like the place overall.

The tacos were as rich and juicy as ever, and that horchata? Still absolute perfection, sweet, creamy, and the best way to wash it down your meal. The truck doesn't seem to be out and about all that often and each time I've been lucky enough to try their birria it has been when they've been parked outside of Lake Monster Brewing. If the last time I visited was any indication, it appears that they're sticking to what they do best - birria. Gone were any options that didn't involve that beefy goodness, which is fine by me, as that's the only thing I'd be ordering. But The Lab's bar was only serving drinks to people on their patio. But despite all that, I know that I will be consciously craving these tacos again soon. I can't wait to return! I love that you get the best of both worlds here with the lively, airy patio and the cooler, quieter interior depending on what vibe you're in the mood for. The drink menu is also a standout with some really fun cocktails. Staff is always friendly and kind, and service moves quickly, which I always appreciate. The prices are fair and this customer service is great. I accidentally got charged twice for the chips and salsa without knowing, and the cashier came back to my table and gave me cash and apologized for the inconvenience. This can be overlooked, but I appreciated their honesty. Will definitely be back here in the future.
