    Chimichurri steak bowl
    Suzie R.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to grab a bite and watch some college football. The MN gopher game had just ended. The place was definitely short staffed...it seemed as though the only waitress was also the bartender so service was a bit slow. It was still busy in the restaurant from the game. I also politely asked if they could change a tv so I could watch my alma mater's football game. I'm a patient person but that took roughly 20ish minutes for her to change it...I think she forgot and then all of a sudden remembered. I ordered what I ordered the last time which was the chimichurri cauliflower steak bowl. It was great but missed the lime wedge it had on my last visit. The food was good. I also noticed that when she did have time to check in on my hubby who was drinking beer she didn't notice that my drink was empty as well as my sons. Therefore she didn't ask if we needed a refill. Hopefully the service will be better next time.

Ok... no one has told me until now that Tipsy Steer has great food! I ventured with friends after a work gathering and they ate dinner but we ate dessert! Psycho shakes are huge! **SHAREABLE!** I was craving chocolate and my friend wanted strawberry. I got the Monster cookie shake. It was very sweet and had a ginormous special K bar on the top. This could have been a treat on its own! I tried some of the strawberry shortcake shake and that was really really good. I would get either of these again and they were gigantic for $10! I will tell others about it and check out the food menu next time.

Came here with friends after an activity and we were all starving. It was a good spot to sit and catch up since there was plenty of seating and we didn't have to wait, even with a bigger group. The milkshakes were definitely the highlight. Super fun and over the top, with cake or donuts piled on top. They looked ridiculous in the best way and actually tasted amazing. The rest of the experience was just okay. The place is pretty dark inside which makes it feel a little gloomy, and the food options for vegetarians were really limited. It was kind of disappointing trying to find something decent on the menu that didn't have meat. Overall, it was fine for a casual stop with friends, but not sure I'd go out of my way to come back unless it was just for the milkshakes.

I ordered the blueberry Brie flatbread that was on the specials menu. It was yummy! It hit all my favorites - sweet, Brie, arugula - I can't complain. Service was good and food came quickly. There are a lot of different choices on the menu so it'll probably satisfy everyone. Nothing crazy amazing but wasn't bad at all!

The Tipsy Steer was within walking distance of my hotel, still I only got take out. Easy in and easy out makes a long day at work better and so much easier for me. Baked avocado with crab were very tasty and the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos were awesome too. The Tipsy Steer has Amazing food and I would do it again and again.

    Sunnies & Chips

I came here with a friend recently and we had trouble picking something from the menu. Everything looked good to us :). She ended up getting the chicken fingers (which weren't good she said) and I picked the sunnies and chips. I hadn't had sunnies in many many years and I missed them. It should have been called fries with and a bit of fish. I loved the fries and I liked the fish. However, there were only 4 sunnies on a heaping pile of fries. This was super disappointing seeing as the ratio of fries to fish was super disappointing. There should have been at least 6 sunnies minimum. I heard the burgers were good and if I were to come back, I'd probably try a burger.

Tasty burgers, solid fries and huge crazy milkshakes at the tipsy steer. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sport, and they make their own beers and seltzers as well. The service is good, and it's a fun place to have a beer and enjoy a nice meal.

No problem parking, once inside, we seated ourselves. We were greeted and drink orders taken. We split a burger and the tips appetizer. Both were very eye-appealing and delicious. We enjoyed our experience, return again and recommend to others. Clean location, including the bathrooms. Super friendly team and food came out almost immediately.

Appetizer: Brussels Sprouts ($10). Broiled sprouts, cut in half, with Bleu Cheese and Prosciutto bits on top. Most places broil sprouts with Balsamic vinegar, which provides a nice crisp and zing. These sprouts lacked depth and flavor profile. Not recommended. Entree: Sassy Steak Sandwich with Fries ($19). The steak was moist and juicy, but the odd sauce pairing included roasted red peppers, garlic aioli, chimichurri, and tomatoes. Sadly, the sauce over powers what could be a very good steak sandwich! It was good enough. Service: The entire place is "bar seating", and the service was pretty quick, helpful, and attentive. Ambiance: It's a Beer Brewery, so industrial looking interior. Clean, but don't expect romantic or quiet. Overall: I deducted 1 star for the bland Brussel Sprouts, and 1 star for the weird steak sandwich sauce. They are next to an Olive Garden, so if you don't want franchise food, Tipsy Steer may be worth a visit.

The interior decor is really cool, and I really like the outside as well. The service was great. My cousin and I went and celebrated each of us buying a new home. I absolutely loved the drinks smoothie things that they had. Very delicious. I also got pizza and my cousin got chicken and waffles are food was delicious.

My first time at the Tipsy Steer but hoepfully not my last. We sat outside and it was lovely. Service was good and quick. I got the pretzels since I wasn't too hungry and they were pretty good. My friends got a variety of other dishes, including one of their big shakes, the orange creamsicle one. We all tried a bit and it was really good. There are definitely other things I want to try on the menu.

We arrived and I immediately remembered this location was the old Joe's Crab Shack building. The sign said to seat yourself so we sat down and after a few minutes, we were greeted by a male server who was also the bartender. He didn't speak much, I tried to make friendly conversation but oh well. So my other half ordered the blanco shrimp with cauliflower crust, and I ordered the turkey burger. Prior to our food coming we decided to try the bang bang shrimp. The bang bang shrimp were a smash hit, they were seasoned to protection. When the meals we ordered came out they looked good, and they tasted even better. The ladies who delivered our food to our table were kind and courteous. They had some customers on the patio, there were TVs so you could watch your favorite sport, and the bathrooms were pretty clean. I will return to try other items on the menu that I feel would also be delicious.

Another girls happy hour after work. Great cocktails. Great food to share with the table. Also got a front seat view of a summer downpour. Thank goodness we weren't on the patio!

From the hostess who graciously held the doors open for us in the 95° heat to our incredible server, David, everything was outstanding. We started with cocktails. I had what may have been the best bourbon Old Fashioned I've ever tasted, and my wife enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing cocktail (whose name I, unfortunately, can't remember). We began our meal with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Normally, I'm not much of a Brussels sprouts fan, but I happily cleaned the plate. My wife and I shared the 12-ounce filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection. Chef's kiss. David recommended a bottle of wine to pair with our steak. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth every penny. But wait... there's more. As incredible as that wine was with the filet, it somehow paired even better (yes, I know that sounds impossible) with the slice of heaven they call chocolate cake. I'm sure it has a much fancier name on the menu, but "slice of heaven" seems more accurate. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a tendency toward hyperbole. If there were ever a time to lean into it, this is it. THIS MEAL WAS FANTASTIC. THE AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL. AND THE COMPANY WAS DIVINE. We will absolutely be back--and when we do, we'll be asking for a table in David's section. (He works Tuesday through Friday.)

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.

Such a great variety, and the prices made it so easy to order a lot of different things to share. Definitely some of the best happy hour pricing / largest selection I've come across in a while! Our waiter was also fantastic! He was super friendly, made sure we got our food and drinks ordered before happy hour ended, checked on us several times throughout our meal, and was incredibly attentive when we asked to split the check in a very unique way. He handled it all so easily! I'll absolutely be back for these happy hour specials! One heads-up, it looks like the happy hour menus may vary by location. Hamacho crudo was Excellent, and the charred focaccia most enjoyable. I would have used fresh finely minced chive instead of scallion but I'm picky re. texture. Had to check the menu the next day to assure myself that the bolognese was meat free. Was it? :). I mentioned to the staff that finely sliced & sauteed mushroom added to the fine smooth sauce would have added a welcome additional texture to the noodle & parmesan. It should be noted that this is the very first review in decades that I've felt had to be made. The staff was very accommodating vis a vis shifting reservation time as my dining partner was delayed. I was sated & had the chocolate cake boxed, so can only say it looked beautiful. The only nitpick: it was hot, but not uncomfortably so on the patio which felt private even though E. Hennepin traffic was steps away, but I had to ask for ice water. Is that a thing these days? Another restaurant we visited served water without ice. If so, it would be best to prechill. One other offering: bring the pappardelle undressed and offer either grated or shaved parmesan... I would have preferred shaved to get a bigger dose of its 'bite'.
