Stopped in for a malt on a hot day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a retro little store with plenty of parking out front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by the employee and I ordered a medium Classic. It has chocolate syrup in a chocolate malt - you can't go wrong with a classic! Very thick, and perfectly chocolately. Pro Tip is to grab the spoon instead of the straw! My friend enjoyed the Colada Malt that they got - thick and fruity!

Our server Ethan was wonderful and funny too! Our group enjoyed the French dip, po-boy, a burger with hot honey, and onion rings. I ate the French dip, ate it all which is unheard of for me. I tried my friend's po-boy and liked it a lot too. The onion rings were good, crunchy and not super onion-y. Two in our group got malts, an orange dreamsicle and peanut butter/Butterfinger. The orange dreamsicle was loved by all who sampled it. The peanut butter/Butterfinger guy hoped it would've been sweeter. Overall a good first experience with this establishment.

Located in a busy strip mall, so if you blink, might just miss the entrance :) but don't have looks deceive you. We have been to this location possibly once a month or definitely once every other month for many years and it has never disappointed us. The service is always prompt & friendly and the food including the Malts are always great. The food combos are worth the value that you spend (which is very economical in comparisons to other shops that offer similar items). As the pics show, they have an old school diner look going on which is always a crowd pleaser.

For what it is, it's great. The food is always good, the shakes/malt are always good, the service is solid, and your meal is generally out quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]VERY family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nice and dark inside, which is what you want on a hot humid summer day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Another outstanding visit! Superb. Asked to split a meal. Cheerfully served in separate baskets nicely split. Always get the Fudge Scottie malt. 16oz would be enough but always get the 24. Super service. Friendly, efficient.

Sis and I made a special drive to have burgers and malts for lunch. It's been a long time since we were here (Snuffy's) and were surprised to see that a 2nd location just opened in Fridley, much closer to home. We walked in right before it filled up. Seat yourself. Waittress came over quickly to take our orders (we looked online prior to coming) and the burger baskets came out very fast. I ordered a California bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and mini Oreo malt. Mini was the perfect size. You just get a glass, not the metal mixing container as well. The mini is plenty of ice cream. Sis ordered a bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries, mini butterscotch malt. Burgers melted in your mouth. Onions and fries were very hot. Malts were perfect dessert to finish the meal. A perfect Fall Saturday lunch!

Was visiting a friend in the area and she was craving a shake so we decided on this place for lunch. It seemed to be fairly busy but we got sat quickly. Service was a little slow and it took a while to get water and put in our order. I opted for a burger with waffle fries and seasoned sour cream and then a malt. My friend got the BLT and a malt as well. Overall the food was okay but the malts were good. The prices are very affordable and the atmosphere and a cute diner vibe. They also have a ton of options on the menu and so many malt and soda flavors. I would probably return for a sweet treat but not necessarily a full meal.

I have been coming to snuffy's for years and since the name change although they say they are the same they seem to have gone down hill each time we come. Today we ordered two full malts, the turkey burger, crispy chicken sand which and a half order of both onion rings and fries. The malts came out after our food even though we ordered them about ten minutes before our food. The onion rings were way over fried, the fries seemed as if they had been doubly fried. My chicken sandwich was hard in the middle (I didn't investigate I was too grossed out) my mom's turkey patty was straight from a bag you could tell. Everything seemed very processed and not decent food quality in the least. I wouldn't post this bad of a review if it were the only time we had bad food but it's not. We probably won't be coming back for a long time as the only thing we had that was okay was the malts. Lastly some notes about pricing. To change to a different bun on a sandwich it's .75cents, the 3 for 1.50 dipping sauces actually charge you 2.00 on the receipt. I really hope management does something or I could see this long time Restaurant going out of business soon.

Food was ok, but ice cream is great! Huge portions of frozen desserts! Will definitely be back soon!

There are way better options for burgers and malts. Burgers were not quality and very small portions.

That said, it has a very cozy/hip neighborhood feel and understated sophistication for what is a pretty residential and quiet area of St Paul The 5/5 elements... Scott (who I think may be the owner?) is super cool, was serving/tending bar and running around to manage the patio while chatting me up & giving great recs on beer/food based on my half hearted description while I multi tasked on work nonsense. Awesome guy, and reason enough to check this place out The vibe/softly playing music and entrancing Twin Cities flyover footage playing in the background on the TV at the bar was oddly soothing Ordered brisket tacos, brussels sprouts, and fried chicken sandwich for myself + a friend to go. Yamahama, I'm not gonna cheat and double check the menu, but the brussels have a delicious umami flavor from either duck fat or facsimile that perfectly balances the acid from the balsamic/vinegar situation. Fried chicken sandwich is a KILLER, highly recommend. I went with the HOG BREAKFAST PARTY which contains 2 Eggs, Greens, Bacon or Sausage, Roadside Potatoes, Biscuit. I loved the roadside potatoes, and I opted for sausage was equally good. It was in this moment that I realized this business takes their customers seriously. The waiter returned to advise the kitchen was running behind, but his manager would be out to speak with us. Upon arrival the manager advised he had some research and noticed we had been waiting a very long time. By this time food arrived at 1227P. He informed us that the bill was taken care of and gave a gift card for the inconvenience. We assured him that taking care of the bill was enough but he insisted we take the gift card as well. That's amazing customer service. Thank you to the manager and waiter for such excellent care.

This is the best meal that we have had across the US in a LONG time! Thank you thank you thank you,…read moreKhue's Kitchen, for existing! We were traveling out of MN for work and heading back to Chicago. During our work trip, we had some pretty disappointing gross fried food. Knowing we wanted to have dinner before leaving for home; however, we weren't expecting much. Khue's Kitchen had great reviews on Yelp and availability for us. After placing the reservation, I noticed a very short menu that left me uneasy. Guys, DO NOT FRET ABOUT THE MENU! It is perfectly curated. We got the Chicken Salad, Pork Fried Rice and Pork Chop. Chicken Salad: Literally moaning at our tables. OMG... it doesn't even need the chicken to be good. The fish sauce dressing is what makes this dish. I could eat this everyday. I will be trying to recreate this at home until I can make it back to MN. And the prawn chips - genius! You can make anyone eat veggies on a shrimp chip! Roast Pork Fried Rice: I thought for sure this was cooked on a wok with a higher than thou BTU flame. Eric, the owner, informed me it is not. How can that be?! How can you get that flavor, soulfulness, crispiness, tenderness into this dish without a wok?! Pure magic! The chili crunch is a nice bite. (FYI - took some home and had leftovers for lunch. This dish is even better the next day!) Pork Chop: Nice char and flavor. Not dry at all. We walked into this restaurant without any research. Didn't know who Eric was, his lineage or relationship with Quang, accolades... We walked out full, satisfied, overjoyed and giddy with AN EXPERIENCE, not just a meal. We were so lucky to have time with Eric who is so personable, thoughtful and FUNNY! He made the night for us on top of the food. We will definitely be back in August when we bring our kids for our annual state fair trip and they're going to love the chicken salad as much as we did!

With Highway 280 under construction and the usual evening rush-hour traffic, I arrived about 20 minutes late. My colleagues had already been seated and ordered drinks. Finding the entrance was unexpectedly confusing. I first tried two doors facing the main street, both of which were locked with signs directing guests to another entrance. The actual entrance was located on the side of the building near the back patio and parking lot. While not a major issue, it was an unusual first impression. To start, we ordered Vietnamese iced coffees, cream cheese wontons to share, a couple of spicy chicken sandwiches, and chicken wings. The iced coffee was enjoyable but milder than the bold, robust flavor typically expected from traditional Vietnamese coffee. The cream cheese wontons, however, were disappointing. At $12 for four pieces, they felt overpriced for what was served. The wrapper was especially thick around the corners, leaving parts with a stale, undercooked texture. My colleagues also found the spicy chicken sandwiches excessively greasy and heavily coated in sauce, which made the bread soft and the sandwich overly rich. On the other hand, the chicken wings were the standout of the meal. They were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had a pleasant kick from the chili oil without being overwhelmingly spicy. Unfortunately, the service at the end of our visit overshadowed the meal itself. We finished eating, paid our bill, and spent about 10 minutes catching up at the table. Around 7:10 p.m., a staff member approached us and said, "Sorry ladies, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we have reservations trying to get seated." Rather than asking how our meal was or whether we needed anything else, we were essentially asked to leave. This was surprising, particularly because we had not been informed of any time limit for Wednesday reservations. In fact, the online reservation system only mentioned a 90-minute dining limit for Fridays and Saturdays. Had there been a clearly communicated time restriction for all reservations, we would have understood and respected it. What made the interaction more confusing was that two nearby tables had already been cleared and remained empty for several minutes while we were finishing our conversation. It was difficult to understand why we were asked to leave before those available tables had been utilized. Learning afterward that the staff member was Eric, the chef and owner, made the experience even more disappointing. Khue's Kitchen has an attractive atmosphere, and the chicken wings are certainly worth trying. However, the inconsistent food, confusing entrance, and rushed ending left a lasting negative impression. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a leisurely date night or catch up with friends over dinner, this may not be the best choice unless you're prepared for a quicker dining experience than expected. Khue's kitchen should also maybe consider being a food truck instead if they want a fast turn over.
