Had an awesome time at Lumber Axe with our men's group! The pricing was fair, and there was plenty of space to comfortably accommodate everyone. We also ordered a few bar-style appetizers, and the food was great. Our host/waitress was awesome--friendly, attentive, and helped make the experience even better. Definitely a fun place for a group outing!

Had a great time, first time - will be back. Drinks were good, we were not hungry, so only had cheese curds, which were also good. Live music was loud, good band, but very loud. I'm sensitive to this, so not hitting my rating on it. Some would think it's the perfect volume. Just know, it's on the louder side. Axe throwing was very fun and they have coaches there to instruct, if you've never done it before. Staff was great.

It was cold this weekend and we were looking for something fun to do with our 12 year old daughter. We've been wanting to try Axe throwing and this location did not disappoint. First, it was easy to make a reservation online. Second, when checking in the staff was super friendly and informative, Choppy was great! The environment was def very manly and what you would expect of an axe place. They had plenty of lanes for us to play comfortably. The food was great and contributed to the experience We went for an hour but it wasn't enough! Will be back

My dad recommended coming here and we couldn't be happier! We came at the time of opening and got right in for axe throwing and would eat lunch afterwards. I had open toed sandals on and they were great because you have to wear closed toed so they had slip on "croc" type of shoes available to use! Next time I will be sure to wear shoes. We threw for 30 mins, they also have an hour option. Our instructor, Tarzan, was extremely helpful and walked us through how to do each throw. He made sure to stand by in case there were any questions or suggestions he could offer! I didn't realize how much it takes out of you! Any frustration I was holding onto was gone! I let out all my strength and might! For lunch we had delicious food. I had a BLT and Logan and my dad had the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese sandwich. The side is fries and those are soooo yummy! We got peach bbq sauce and that was game changer, so delicious! Needless to say, great time - lots of laughs, great food and just overall a great time! We will be back!

    So cool in here

You just have to try this place out, If you love whiskey, beer or just great food this place has it all. I am a self confessed bourbon lover and I was in awe of all of the whiskey that they have available. I was able to try an incredible whiskey flight of ones that i have yet to try before. SW Florida needs a great whiskey bar where you can try different ones before you splurge on a bottle for your own collection. This is a place that caters to those that want more than just the typical 3 or 4 bottles behind the bar, this is my new go to place. We also enjoyed two great beers and some incredible food. We had the pulled pork nachos that were loaded with some of the best pulled pork we have tasted. I cant wait to try the big pulled pork sandwich. We did spend a lot of time with the manager Ryan who is very knowledgeable and he gave us some incredible suggestions of things to try. It was great to talk with him and he lead me to a great beer that was one that I will continue to ask for when I am there, Oh, btw.... they also have axe throwing lanes. We didn't try it this time but we had a great time watching the groups play. All in all it was a great time and a place that we will return to often and bring others with us.

Beer, meat and hurling axes at the wall...what more could you want? Unleash your inner lumberjack (or dwarven warrior?) in this wood-paneled wonderland complete with bar, sports on TV, and a taxidermied black bear. We rented an axe throwing lane that allows you to eat and drink while cheering on your fellow axe wielding maniacs. We had fried pickles which had a nice vinegar zip to them. The axe burgers delivered a basic stack of meat. Nothing fancy, just grilled goodness. An ideal group outing, or maybe some alone time to blow off steam. 5* = incredible (rare) 4* = very good/ strong desire to return 3* = generally good experience 2* = poor/ no desire to return 1* = a particularly awful experience

Went with a group of friends, knowing I would not throw an axe but was happy to watch them do so. I don't know what I was expecting from an "axe-throwing place" but I was definitely impressed! The place is very big, lots of seating, a bar and lots of large-screen TV's around, and the food was really good! I had a side of macaroni and cheese ($4.00) and a small Caesar salad ($6.00). Both were quite tasty! The service is good, but a little slow. My friends who threw axes had a great time and so did I. Will definitely return! Great place to eat and drink, even if you are not going to throw axes! Highly recommend.

Service was awesome too. We got there right when they opened so it was just me and my mom at first and the guy at the bar made it easy and fun. The vibe feels a bit on the fancier side, but it's still chill, a perfect spot for date night or just taking cute photos. No hidden entrance or secret password that we could see and street parking is available. No wait during the day. It's not the cheapest spot, but honestly worth it for the drinks and the aesthetic. I'd love to go back and try more of their craft tails sometime!

Unfortunately, this experience went from disappointing to downright concerning…read more I do want to distinguish between the two bartenders working. The younger bartender was nice, pleasant, and welcoming. The older gentleman behind the bar, however, was a completely different experience. He came across as rude and was essentially barking orders at guests about how he would take our orders. For a place positioning itself as an upscale cocktail experience, that attitude set the wrong tone immediately. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't make up for it. My espresso martini was mediocre at best. My friend had the lemon drop, which was equally lackluster. Then came the $30 smoked Old Fashioned, which should have been impressive at that price point but was incredibly disappointing. We were also told they infuse their own vanilla into the vodka. Whatever they're using or doing with it, the end result tasted incredibly cheap --not remotely what I'd expect from a premium cocktail program. Then there's the condition of the place itself. There was a wrapped pipe dripping water onto/near a lounge bench, chipped and peeling paint on the walls, and obvious signs that preventive maintenance is desperately needed. The space simply wasn't aesthetically pleasing or maintained at the level the prices and concept would suggest. But it actually got worse when I went to the bathroom. Part of the ceiling appeared to be falling down, water was actively dripping into a bucket, and there was visible dark growth on the ceiling tile that looked like mold. At that point, my concern went well beyond décor. If you're going for an upscale speakeasy experience take a look at The Doctor's Office. That's the kind of atmosphere, presentation, and attention to detail I associate with this concept. When you're charging $30 for a cocktail, expectations are naturally going to be high. I expect excellent drinks, professional hospitality, and a well-maintained environment. Aside from the younger bartender, who was genuinely pleasant, this experience missed the mark across the board.

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.

Ive gone in a number of times, obviously id prefer a 1 on 1 conversation with her, but when the bar is full if you want to talk to her, be prepared for a group therapy session. The ambiance does produce a soothing subdued feeling even without any booze in you. the bar is usually full during season, in the offseason i still would recommend having a Happy Hour which im a proponent and promoter of at every establishment. However i wanted to wait until i tried a food item on the menu before writing a biased favourable review for her, as tantalizing the kangaroo looked on the dinner menu, i decided to go for Tom's Turkey sandwich at lunch for $23. I am a sandwich person, i do make them everyday, going in on i thought it would be a typical elongated food chain sandwich, and for the price would be a second serving the following day. the menu said it came with a side but looking at the sides i assumed the price would be extra, i wanted the fries after seeing them but was out of a price range for me to add on. I elected to go with cole slaw which was subpar, it would be better if it was gotten from Publix and scooping it into the ramekin. I didnt like the Tom's Turkey sandwich after getting through it while it deconstructed, i didnt know what i was eating to tell you the truth with an extra spice to it.
