Wow! Discovering Lume was one of the highlights of my year. This restaurant is exceptional and has hit a home run in my book from the food, service, and ambience. Staff was accommodating to my mango allergy and was able to sub out the mango in the Tuna Poke. I must admit that I was skeptical ordering the Kalbi Platter as I've only really have had kalbi at KBBQ restaurants though it didn't disappoint at all. The flavor was comparable to KBBQ joints and the side of kimchi was a nice addition. Espresso martinis are my favorite drink, so naturally I was so excited to try the Viet Tini Drip that I nearly finished it in one gulp. I'm not sure what we did to deserve an Alpine Crisp on the house as we weren't celebrating anything though appreciated the surprise beverage and kind gesture; it was refreshing and would order it again. While I rarely visit the same restaurant, I'm looking forward to visiting more in the upcoming year. I highly recommend Lume to anyone who has not yet visited. No complaints here. All of the items that we ordered below were 10/10! +Tuna Poke - sesame soy marinated tuna, over steamed rice topped with shredded nori, with seaweed salad, cucumber and pickled red onion +Kalbi Platter - Korean short ribs served with steamed rice, kimchi and a side salad with homemade house dressing +Belly Burger (not pictured) - Ground beef patty, topped with spicy pork belly, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, with blistered shishito pepper garnish +Alphine Crisp - Apricot, Limoncello, Vodka & Champagne with hints of cherry & ginger +Viet Tini Drip - Haku vodka, condensed milk, Vietnamese espresso +Lume Punch - Rum, Licor43, orgeat, bleu curacao, pineapple juice, boba pearls +Ube Brownie Sundae - triple chocolate brownie, topped with Ube ice cream, with whipped cream and chocolate sauce

It's a nice cozy place, quite and charming decor. Clean and inviting. The server is gentle spoken and sweet. I ordered a Tuna poke bowl extra spicy. It's okay for my taste . It's personally too rich for my taste but their ingredients are top notch. Fresh tuna, mango and avocado . For me personally is too much mayo too creamy . I cannot taste any spiciness that I crave if I add any sriracha it will make it too salty. But anything else was awesome. I will be back but will try different item.

We went to this after our original choice was closed. Didn't disappoint at all.Cozy vibes and great Asian fusion meals. Price is reasonable and portion is just right. The rice bowl w bulgogi was great. Service is warm and friendly.

The outdoor seating is perfect for nice spring weather. This is my second time dining here and it was a great experience. The server was prompt, friendly, and checked up on us frequently. The bulgogi wrap is delicious!! This is my top food spot in old town, you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.

Cool atmosphere, Great service, Even on the night we went which was First Friday in Old Town so it was packed and our food still came out fast and was prepared well. My only real complaint is everything was slightly on the pricier side, but that is just an unfortunate sign of the times.

What a cute new restaurant! Located on the corner where Okras used to be, this place looks totally different and brings in a fresh, vibrant vibe to old town. Aside from the gorgeous decor, high ceilings, and lovely choice of glassware, the drinks and food were delicious. Drinks - I could have ordered every single cocktail. I loved the viet drip tini. If you're a lychee lover, get their martini. It was sweet and the lychee garnish topped it for me. I had to get the mango green tea - the popping passion fruit pearls were so yummy and it was a great balance of mango with green tea. My husband really enjoyed the Kaiju as there were many layers of flavor, as well as the red dragon. Also all the bartenders were really sweet and attentive. Food - the dishes really brought out a blend of Asian fusion flavors. We started with the bao buns with pork belly and I thought it had a subtle Korean flavor. We also got the spring rolls which were really good. I enjoyed the poke burrito, which had a generous amount of delicious sesame soy tuna. The salad dressing was an elevated ginger flavor, similar to what you'd have at a sushi restaurant. My husband doesn't usually choose poke bowls but the salmon was calling him. We've come back a few times and have gotten burger, sliders, and gyoza, which were all delicious. Will definitely be back!

    Japchae with chicken

Despite being short staffed and having to send my entree back because the chicken wasn't cooked through, this place is great. Most people would be dissuaded from returning but I'm looking forward to next time I visit. Here's why: Lume is located on a corner and the decor is super cute and gives modern vibes. We were told it was a 30 minute wait on a Sunday around 1pm but then realized we could sit at the bar and order food from there (the bar is first come, first served). There was one bartender and she quickly acknowledged us and got us drinks. The menu has lots to offer, so for an appetizer we had the K-Wings, which are 7 Korean (double fried) wings with gochujang sauce. They were excellent, 10/10. Highly recommend. It's good we got an app because the kitchen was really backed up and our food took a while to come out. I ordered japchae, a Korean noodle dish, with chicken and my companion had the bulgogi rice bowl. Both entrees came out at the same time but I, unfortunately, had to send mine back because the chicken wasn't cooked through. I let our bartender know and she immediately informed the manager, who profusely apologized. I had a new entree five minutes later. The japchae had a good taste and plenty of veggies, though they were a little crunchy. The bulgogi rice bowl was colorful, had lots of fixings, and was full of flavor. Overall, we had a great experience and staff was friendly. Kudos to them for keeping up. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and I think it was busier than normal due to a nearby street festival. I hope to visit again soon! Definitely give them a try.

The place is gorgeous, the food is delicious and the staff is fabulous! You can't go wrong and I'm thrilled Lume is now part of downtown Manassas!!! The drinks are delicious! The Kaiju is also really pretty. I love the unique food options and appropriate portions. I love the kalbi! The flavors are awesome!! I really like the staff...they're really friendly and make you feel welcome. You can come in and get on the waitlist since they get busy on weekend nights like everyone here. They are great and I'm happy they're near my house. Definitely check it out!!

A great new addition to Manassas in my opinion, great staff and better yet great food and drinks! Everything came out nice and hot & flavorful! The fries were nice and crispy. Think old school McDonald's fries for the old heads like me out there. Crisp and salted nicely and not drowning in oil! Nor were they flimsy like the new McDonald fries. The inside decor of the restaurant it's probably one of my favorites , I will definitely be stealing some of the color choices if I could ever afford a home!

Service was great, got to chat with the manager and a host to learn a little about the venue. We were recommended a few dishes, so we went with the recs. Combo platter, bulgogi wrap, poke nachos, and Bahn Mi sandwich. Not pictured are the spring rolls, edamame, and salt and vinegar fries. Bar set up is also nice, I would def come back!

Came for brunch on Sunday with a party of 15. Ordered the Jap-chae because it's not an easy dish to make at home; if the noodles are overcooked it becomes a gelatinous glob. And sadly that's what happened when I received my order. Could not eat even half of it and had to leave early so did not address with management. That said, the decor is warm and inviting, and others really enjoyed their wings and chicken and waffles. I would return to see if other dishes are better.

Hubby and I decided to spend date night at the new asian fusion restaurant in old town. Outstanding! We will most definitely be back!! 1. We started with two winter cocktails, Partridge in a Pear Tree and I think a Sugar Plum. Both were beautifully presented and tasted PHENOMENAL. 2. I ordered the Kalbi plate...it took me right back home to da 808 State plate lunch! So much perfectly marinated and charred meat; I do wish there were two scoops rice instead of one, but loved that it came with both a side salad AND kimchi. I give it a solid 10/10. 3. Hubby got a Banh Mi, which he enjoyed and destroyed in a short period of time. I heard no complaints from him so I'm assuming it was good based on the empty plate he had. Love the interior, the vibe. We went to dinner around 4:30/5, and when we left at 6-ish it was PACKED. Obviously a popular new spot, but also - I am so incredibly happy to have a new awesome asian fusion near home that reminds me of HOME home.

This restaurant is so adorable on the inside really nice colors and ambiance. Went with my mom on a Sunday. The food was delicious we got the spring rolls, Kalbi platter, and bulgogi Japchae. It was all really delicious! Our server was helpful and nice. We even ordered the bulgogi rice bowl to go which my husband enjoyed at home. Good portions, and plating. Definitely will be back with my friends to try some of the drinks!

Same with the frosted banana bread pudding dessert- not authentic but good and sweet. Very limited parking; however there is a parking lot two blocks away. The rigatoni was a hit for one person at the table, but wasn't for me -- so I asked to swap it for the salmon, which was excellent. However, a few friends and I drove out to Shenandoah this past Friday evening, and I made a convincing argument that HawaU would be on the way. By the time we arrived, we were all incredibly hungry and ready to wolf down anything edible. LOCO MOCO (BOWL) - 9.99 The chipotle-sized bowl was topped with loco moco: white rice base topped with hamburger patty, fried egg, grilled pineapple slice, and a generous pour of beef & mushroom gravy, plus sides of fresh cabbage salad and mac salad. The gravy nostalgically reminded me of the ones I'd get from cafeteria-style school lunches -- thick, salty, slightly starchy, yet oddly comforting. The egg, hamburger patty, and rice were pretty standard, but the familiarity of the gravy tied the whole dish together nicely. Both salads were good -- the cabbage was more light and refreshing, while the mac salad felt a bit heavy after all the loco moco. Since it's my first time eating loco moco, I can't say how it compares to others. However, I found HawaU's incredibly comforting and hearty. It really hit the spot for me, and I ate the whole bowl within 10 minutes. The loco moco is definitely their signature option and a must try.
