They always are extremely timely and make sure you are in great care while visiting them. I had called four different optometrists, and he was the only one who offered this option. My mom and I had a great experience here. I wanted to take her to get her eyes examined and to get some new prescription glasses and sunglasses. The staff and doctor were very friendly and professional. I liked the glasses brands available! Just a heads up, they are closed on Tuesdays so we were not able to pick up or glasses that day. Wow oh wow. The technology they have here is AMAZING!!! They did things I've never seen before. I'm so used to a puff at the eye, then the traditional eye exam and call it a day. I'm not sure how to describe it cause you just had to be there but they were very professional and explained all the machines they used on me and being able to see the scans of my eye and Dr. Yip explaining every thing in detail made me so educated and had a better understanding of my eye. I pride myself in getting my eyes checked every year, but this was my first time with him and I was shocked to learn I had a stigmatism that was never diagnosed. Would come again. read more

I went here for an eye exam and bought contacts here. The eye exam and everything was smooth but when I went to purchase contacts I was promised a large rebate if I bought a year supply with them but the rebate I received was very small compared to what I was quoted. It took them over a month for them to respond to why my rebate was so small and they revealed it was a miscommunication on their end that cost me $250. I'm not even sure if there was a way for me to get the larger rebate or if they just told me that to make a sell. Either way I'm left feeling a bit swindled. My first impression was good but them giving false/bad information to sell contacts is a disappointment and I won't be coming back again. read more

LUMI is an excellent facility with amazing staff and the latest and greatest technology. I was in the area, so I figured I'd drop by for a much needed eye exam after being referred by a friend. Their technology in examining eyes is mirrored by their sleek interior design, which is a nice bonus. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted by two gentlemen. The staff is all-around very friendly; they even offered the group that came with me bottled water. Checking in was easy, and the introductory survey was easy to understand and fill out. After handing back the clipboard, the gentleman ushered me into the testing center where multiple machines are used to comprehensively check the health of your eyes. To give you some background on me, I've been to a lot of offices due to a pretty bad, traumatic injury I got as a teenager nearly 20 years ago (paintball without goggles--just don't do it). I've had not one, but two surgery in an attempt to tame the beast known as 'glaucoma.' I'm the inquisitive type that wants to learn as much as I can about what's going on, so I immediately felt pretty good that they were performing more tests than any other office I've been to for a general eye exam. These guys are so detailed, they even go as far as using a handheld tonometer; this device measures your eye pressure with much more accuracy than the air puff test and can get multiple readings very quickly. It's essentially painless and you do not have to iodinate your eyes like you would have to for an ultrasound probe, which is from what I understand is the golden standard. After being guided to the examination room, the 2nd gentleman sitting behind the desk entered promptly and introduced himself as Dr. Yip. The man is as kind and humble as he is knowledgeable. As someone who has seen multiple specialists and surgeons for my condition, I was surprised to see Dr. Yip not even bat an eye. He proceeded to show me the test results; they even have a separate, larger monitor specific for showing and educating patients. I had my heart set on a pair of frames outside the office for months, but there were plenty of high quality frames to choose from that nearly stole my heart. I happily accepted my prescription. Don't be fooled by his young looks; once you speak with him it's very apparent he has the experience and knowledge needed to spearhead the office. If you want state of the art eye care, I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Yip and company for your needs. read more

After everything, I can honestly say my son is now so proud of his cool glasses that makes him "look like superman", lol.
