I had a terrible experience with this location. After twice dealing on getting my glasses corrected with the prescription the lens and the frame were not correct. After returning them due to headaches it was the wrong prescription. Once returned from being corrected there were nicks on the inside of the frame and on one side of the lenses it was a bit up from what the other side was. When you would spray with the cleaner given to me it got in between the Lense and frame making it drip down my face before it dried in the lenses. After all I decided to get a refund, I paid 309.00 out of pocket yes, I agree with the 40.00 restocking fee charge but the other fees I paid for were not returned to me. Such as the 10.00 co pay, the 35.00 for the optomap, and 60.00 for the contact fit that is 105.00 that was kept by them. I have never heard of not getting refunded those fees restocking fee I understand that part. Very disappointed with the outcome. So after paying 309.00 out of my pocket I only get 164.00 I was excited to come here and it was upsetting. Then I was told I had to call my own insurance to tell them I had returned the glasses and so they can cancel the claim. I did and they were shocked to know that I the customer had to call them. Vision Life OD I wanted a cute pair of glasses for myself and my daughter. The technician helped us seem pleasant we pick out our glasses and put down a $200 deposit remaining balance of $715 with my insurance coverage total amount 915.00'. The technician said the glasses would be ready in 7 to 10 days. The technician called and said there was a problem with my glasses prescription and didn't know when the glasses would be available. I told her I would wait until the following Tuesday or I would have to go to another company. The technician called back on Friday saying she processed my refund for the glasses. I went into the office and found out the glasses were sitting in the office and the technician had not processed the prescription. The technician waited and called and lied about our glasses. I confronted the technician told I know she never put in the prescriptions. I spoke with the manager to let them know what the technician had done to me and my daughter. The manager said yes I believe you and we will talk with the technician. I asked the manager was the doctor aware of the situation and she said yes the doctor read my review on google. NOTHING FROM THE DOCTOR NOTHING FOR THIS OFFICE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS YOUR CHANCES OF ACTUALITY RECEIVING YOUR GLASSES IS NOT GOOD. BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR GLASSES. WAS IT RACISM THE REASON WHY WE DID NOT GET OUT GLASSES AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED APOLOGY FROM THE DOCTOR????! read more

I've never had great luck with eye doctors. In the 7th grade I discovered through migraines that I required corrective lenses. From that first experience with an optometrist in the Wal Mart in Gun Barrel City, Texas, I knew that it would always be an uphill climb for me. I will spare you the whole traumatic experience, but to say the least - the years that followed I tended to only visit an optometrist when misguided vanity and accessibility to vision insurance allowed me to do so. Where Harwood meets 360, everything is blowing up, it seems. The sea of apartment complexes is parting just a bit for Dentists, Doc's offices, large gas stations, restaurants, nail bars, and this.brand new place as well. Vision Life OD, part of the Vision Source family. Convenient as could be, I stepped in just before the COVID crisis really took hold, and absolutely loved my experience. First, the receptionist team is just amazing. So friendly, and so so helpful. They understand the value of complementing someone that is struggling to make a decision. They are just wonderful. I was really appreciative of the practitioner as well. She walked through every bit of the test results, starting with why, explaining the implications and offering constructive feedback that will prompt a person to want to stay ahead of their eye health. She's a bit younger, and kind of has this cool vibe I really liked. Those receptionists WORKED to see what was covered and what wasn't. By the time I left they had unexpectedly discovered that I would get 1 years worth of lenses free, and a discount on my glasses. They have plenty of designer brands to chooses from, some expensive, some not so much. I went with a midrange pair of RayBan glasses. I really love them. The turn around was 12 days, but even with the d, it was 8 days. They are closed during this time, but you can call and schedule pick ups. I would've this a higher rating, but two things bothered me. 1)when I got the confirmation phone call the female on the other end of the line was out right rude. 2)and I suspect the female who helped me during the appointment was the in the same who called to confirm my appointment. She told me that when I went to the back that I needed to wear a mask. So, I sat down in the waiting area, then she says, excuse me, "you need to wear a mask." I told her that's not what you said, you said that when I was taken back that I needed to wear a mask. I actually cancelled my follow up appointment, I am sick and tired of wearing masks every where. They can live in their masks for all I care I won't do it again. I know it's no skin off their nose they have plenty of patients I am just one of many. Voted the worst eye doctor in North American! Simply a scam! Do not wear your time and money on such unprofessional doctor and staff! First of all unlike any other doctor if you do the exam and you feel not comfortable with the glasses they will not honor their own exam and will charge you to comeback for checking their own prescription! Yes, they do not every honor their work and know it all messed up. I ordered the glasses per their exam and prescription but It was so bad that simply was seeing better without the glasses! I went to another doctor because I do not trust vision life anymore and the new doctor gave me a completely different prescription on every level. I honestly at this point doubt the competence of vision life doctor and staff and I do not recommend them to anyone! It's totally worth it to drive far and wait for a good doctor then going to an unqualified and unprofessional doctor who would only cause you headaches and discomfort. Amazing! I went in for my contact lens exam and I had my 5 month old with me. He ofcourse did not want to be there haha. He was a bit fussy but the staff was so understanding! My appointment was at 1pm and I was called back by 1:05 so the wait was not long at all! The guy who assisted me wiped everything down before we begin the exam. Afterwards he even helped me carry my things to the next room! They knew exactly what they were doing when it came to my insurance, they assisted me with choosing the right contacts for me, everything was just perfect! I'd definitely recommend them! read more

best/worst bait n'switch you will ever experience... i have never posted a negative review, ever. & i will send a more detailed version of this experience to Neurolens as well since vision life OD is the only provider of the 1st relief i've had in years, then this is a hostage situation & neurolens should know what kind of experience they are forcing people to deal with Dr Virdee is outofthisworld amazing & there is the bait she was amazing, helped me find the right lens & scrip for my glasses that solved my migraines & pain the switch - but from the moment she hands you off to front staff be ready for bullying & not listening to you unless you do what they say/want. they will take your $1500 & make you get frames you don't want & when you are dumb enough (like me) to give them a 2nd chance & want to spend another $1500 with them (because you love the Doc & the lens) you will be bullied again & not listened to again. i went in with my $1500 glasses in August-2023 because my puppy chewed them. i wanted to buy another pair but in a new frame. the staff convinced me that they were still under warranty & that they would ask the lab to put them in the same exact frame, but new (i would have to pay for the frames). because i really didn't like the frames (bullied/pressured the 1st time into the Fendi's) i said "only if that is my only option to use the old lens that weren't damaged from the dog (just the frame was chewed) but that i really want the neurolens in the new frames" that i had picked out. mind you i had made it clear that my main goal was to have a new pair of neurolens glasses that were in a frame that i liked & weren't half eaten by my puppy & that i would pay whatever, even from-scratch-new-order. & i stressed that i did not have a back-up pair & that i rarely like to wear my contacts (prefer my glasses) they assured me that the lenses were still under warranty & the worst would be buying the new frames of the old style that i didn't care for & they would call me when they heard back from the lab. they said it would take 3-4 weeks possibly before they knew more. i never heard from them again. about anything. i stopped into the store in September & they had no updates & said they would call they never did i started calling once a week to check, no information, no update if they even answered, most of the time you will get their VM around my bday in november i started only calling monthly yesterday i made my monthly call, & surprise surprise they're closed wednesdays i left another VM they texted & called me back to tell me that they wouldn't help me & I could come pick up my chewed up frames & lenses whenever i wanted.... seriously....??? when i went it today, May 9, 2024, 7 months later, to try to still spend another $1500 with them, because they are the only 1s around with neurolens, i was treated horribly, no surprise, but this crazy person actually told me that she couldn't listen to me because her mother just died are you kidding me? what a shame that the staff is so incompetent with customer service that she couldn't listen (kept interrupting me to argue some stupid point that wasn't even relevant) & used her poor mother's passing as an excuse for 7 months of crappy-don't-care-about-you-service when i would try to find out who was the boss that i could speak with about all this & maybe still buy some glasses...& who actually cared about keeping my business, she said  with her arms wide open & chest bowed out like she was going to swing on me "do you see anyone else here? i'm in charge!" i challenged that with i know she wasn't the 1 writing the paychecks, so who runs this joint? & she said Dr Virdee which is really sad too i thought i found relief, a solution & yes while i knew the "boutique" part was seriously lacking on customer service i was willing to stay involved to get to the glasses in the end & to stay with the Doc but to know that this behavior is sanctioned by the highest level of control at this optometrist/vendor is enough....i'm out, smh i had to call 911 to get the crazy lady to give me my property broken though they were, they were my $1500 of broken I was going to leave with them she tried to force me out of the store & said she would throw them to me i said "i'll call 911 & wait right here, i haven't even cussed at you, it is a shame that you would put your poor mother's passing on your ineptitude with customer service" what a shameful, abhorrent business practice what a disgusting demonstration of incompetence & prima donna syndrome that you can treat a paying patient with total disrespect & no basic minimums of common decency let alone a modicum of customer service 101 & then try to make them the problem is reprehensible i will be checking every place i can send this to, the BBB, every review site that vision life OD posts on, every month i will upload a new low rating instead of calling to check if my glasses are ready... to think i bragged about this doctor & stor read more

After my first visit, I will never go anywhere else! There's great and then there is excellent- this place is excellent. I feel like, based on prior experiences, my expectations with anything related to health care is relatively low. I walked in with my normal expectations and my socks were knocked off! The receptionists were quick to welcome me and even offered me a drink. As I was browsing over glasses, Dr. Virdee came out and was explaining to two young girls (around 8 and 10) the significance of glasses and what vision issues they were experiencing. Her way of explaining it so they could understand melted my heart and made me appreciative that people like her exist in our world, especially in the field of health care. When it was time to select glasses, I was given a breakdown of how pricing works, what is covered by insurance and what additions were available at what rates. I am on the computer for hours on end, so a blue light film was an addition perfect for me. Their knowledge and transparency on pricing with insurance was stellar. The building itself appears to be brand new. The finish out is beautiful and everything is quite clean. The design elements (animals in glasses) are too cute and I love the pop of teal. 3 days ago The staff and doctor are nice but... I ordered progressive lenses and glasses, when I recieved them, the transiton lines were set way too low from the lab even thought the center point was made in the office (I had to tilt my head all the way back to even start to read a computer screen). Vision life OD sent the glasses back to the lab to correct the issue. 2 weeks later, nothing. 3 weeks later, nothing. They are reporting it will be another week before my glasses are in. 5 weeks for glasses in not okay! It has been 27 days and I still dont have a good pair of glasses to wear. Vision Life OD is blaming the labs for the problem, the way I see it is, Vision Life OD is just as responsible for the delay due to doing business with that lab and its known issues. I am not the only customer this is happening to. A repair should NEVER take longer than getting a new set of lenses. The doctor and staff are nice for the exam, I have zero faith in the glasses or the lab. They get 1 star for the exam and the Doctor being nice. read more

My sister and I found this place after years of going to same optometrist and I can say I'm happy we switched! Not only was I happy with the close proximity of the place to my house, but also the great service we received! From the moment I walked in I was greeted and helped by a friendly employee named Arshad! He made my sister and I feel welcomed and comfortable. The optometrist, Dr.Virdee, made the process easier to understand and even helped me find a cheaper option for my contacts that work perfectly with my insurance! I'd also like to add that the receptionists were super patient with us since we asked many questions, which was very much appreciated. And with the COVID situation, they were super sanitary and respectful towards the guidelines. Found this place through my insurance, which they accepted even though it wasn't listed on their website. They claim to be spacing appointments one hour apart, but there were three or four other customers at the same time I was there. Masks are worn, but they did not ask me to clean my hands. I liked Dr. Virdee, she was knowledgeable and kind. Her staff of three people seemed like they were still in training, and struggling with things like insurance coverage, the computer system, and the printer. I found one of the assistants to be unprofessional, rude and irritable, even to her co-workers. That's the kind of person that makes me never want to come back, but an even bigger factor is cost. I brought in my own frames, and even with insurance I had to pay more than $500. Anyone who does research on why glasses are so expensive knows that it's due to a company called Luxottica, which started driving up the price of frames by taking advantage of consumer's vain obsession with pricey designers. They then merged with the lens manufacturer Essilor, creating a huge monopoly on eyewear. The markup on their products is around 1000 percent. Vision Life OD sells all the designer brands made my Luxottica, as well as Essilor lenses, so they are part of that empire. Warby Parker, Walmart and Costco are probably cheaper because they don't have this connection. read more
