Just 2 weeks ago I needed a trim. (I do not live on the Cape) so I was not able to go back to roots. In saying that, my cut was minimal for maintenance and the stylist remarked how well my hair looked for not being cut in over 10 months. I would have to agree. I also have to remark on how well the highlights that Genevieve game me grew out. It was so natural, that I have not done any lightening since I was at ROOTS. As my hair grew, the highlights softened and just faded so naturally, as if it was lightened by the summer sun. My hair is in amazing shape and stylish. I was horrified at how sloppily and uneven my nails were painted by a guy it seemed like came off the street. I asked them to be redone since it was a special occasion until ultimately the owner looked at my hands and had to step in. Now, Meet Caleen. I wish I had known about this place sooner!! I had to get my ring resized so wanted a manicure again. She painfully worked with my now short, broken, stubby nails (resulting from the technique at the other salon) and turned them into presentable photogenic fingers!! I was treated as a client instead of just another number. She took her time to be very meticulous and precise. She is a true artist who cares about her quality work. She actually did my nails so they would look better as they grew out which is happening! It's been over a week and my polish hasn't chipped at all whereas before it was peeling off after a few days. I am beyond impressed and surprised that she even exists!
