The salon is very professional and the nail techs really care about your nails. I had a terrible experience last time I got my nails done at the mall so I wanted some place new. This salon was on the way to my next appointment so I stopped by. I got Diem as my nail tech, and left super impressed with the service. I gave her the design that I wanted when I sat down, and she did an amazing job meeting my standards. She took care of my nails carefully and did not rush through-- our whole process took 2 hours plus compared to the 35 mins at my previous place (same design). Diem found this tiny piece of hair stuck under the powder and she took it out and repainted my nails instead of covering it up. This alone tells me how OCD and detail oriented she is. I got a gel mani/pedi and after a week both my toes and fingers started getting air pockets and lots of spots on the side that were all about to chip. I had to put clear coat on it to save it while I was on vacation. Since I was away I couldn't go back until a week and a half after I had it done. I explained this to them but they kept telling me it had been 2 weeks despite us counting the days on the calendar together. They told me they would fix it and charge me double for the next time I came. I never got my toes fixed only my nails because she made me so uncomfortable while doing my nails. She told me so many times that even though I spent $90 I should only expect gel nails to last 3 days!! I wanted to keep going there but it looks like I'll have to find another place... read more

Came here for the first time about a week ago for a pedicure. When I first walked in I was very pleased with the environment and the friendly service. I was having a difficult time picking the pedicure I wanted, and asked the lady what she recommended... instead of up selling me, she told me I didn't need the real expensive one, considering my feet weren't that bad. That blew my mind and made me fall in love with the place instantly! These were my only two issues... I told her I had an ingrown toe nail, and she really didn't do much to get it out. And the price at the end kind of blew my mind. I was pleased with the fact that she didn't try to up sell me, but had no idea there were going to be more fees for taking my previous polish off and putting new polish on. A few of the other places I have been to in Wichita never charged for the removal of gel, and the only upcharge was putting the gel on. Because of the amount of time involved in having a manicure/pedicure, I value excellent service in the least amount of time. Allowing my nails to dry between polish applications is very important because, like most of us, I dislike getting any sort of blemish on a brand new polish before I even get home. Went there several times. The first 3 visits were good. The last and final visit was not good. I had an appointment. It's a treat to get your nails done. So I expect the tech to be friendly. The tech said maybe 30 words in over an hour. I asked to trim cuticles and she called it a manicure. She was rough, I had to ask her to be gentle more than two times. She also charged me to shape my nails. So my advice if you use this salon just ask about all the ancillary charges. $5 to take off dip, $10 to trim cuticles only. All of the salons I have been to it's included, I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years. read more

I only get my nails done on occasion and I just came here for the first time and although it's a small shop it's very cozy and the customer service is wonderful! I got acrylics done and was worried that my particular design might be difficult but I was blown away by the precision and care that I was met with by my nail tech Ann! Very happy with this place especially due to most of my past experience with nail salons being less than satisfactory! I was given a menu of pedicures and was able to pick what I wanted and knew the price upfront which was nice. The pedicurist took over an hour to give me the treatment I wanted. Even though she was Korean, she carried on a conversation with me throughout the entire time. Her English was very good and asked great conversation questions. (Other salons tend to carry on their own conversations in a language I don't understand, which made this place very nice) I would highly recommended coming here for pedicures or manicures aa they weren't very busy and was very happy to have someone from out of town come in for services. I even got callus remover cream and foot lotion to use at home. read more

I will say that the new nail salon Norms are very different to start. I made a Friday afternoon appointment for a mani/pedi, and was seated shortly after arriving. I was taken to the back of the store where the pedicure chairs were there 4 pedicure chairs on each row so 8 in total. The area was a little small and cramped. Tiffany did my pedicure and did not disappointment. I got the basic, since I had never been there. I wished there was a more intense massage, but was satisfied. I did not know rules imply that salons have to do services separately now, so my 1.5 service was actually 3 hours. (Not salon fault) After my pedicure I was taken to a chair to sit to do my nails. Diem did my nails, I got dip powder. I was charged $5 for take off, when I was getting a new set. I've never heard of that before, usually thought you were only charged if that is the only service you received. Never the less, I selected a color and she began. I was happy with the nails Initially then she dipped one too many times and the nails began to look very bubbly. I was too tired to even complain because that would mean I would sit there longer. They did a great job of customer service cleanliness and ensuring customers were following precautions wearing masks etc. overall, they did a good job that is just not how I like my nails to look. These were done on Friday and today is Sunday. Not looking forward to the growing out bc they will definitely be lifting, and catching on to everything. Any girl knows how annoying that can be. As an out of town visitor I was cautious about approaching unknown nail shops. Upon entering, Luminous Nails was clean, bright and welcoming. The staff were courteous and attentive. I had a regular pedicure that exceeded expectations. Their standard procedure is clipping corners on big toe. I had never seen this before but will request in the future. Nail tech was meticulous about polish. I went back 2 days later for an acrylic fill. The husband had the pedicure this time. The customer service was again exceptional. My fill and gel polish were exceptional, no flaws and I am particular! The manager painted a white and orange flower design on two nails, very artistic. I'm a firm believer in treating everyone with respect and kindness. Luminous Nails practices that! They are pretty new and with their level of service should do well.
