It is a beautiful place and just right for smallish weddings and also great for wedding pictures. The surrounding grounds have ponds, trees, arbors and animals. The wedding was nice, but they had a long-winded Jesus freak preacher that wasn't really necessary, but it is her first wedding and i guess he's from their church. Her wedding planner was a little weird too. No pic, multiple first dances and not just for the bride and groom, but the mothers, farthers and brothers. Then, at the end, they asked everyone to go outside so the bride and groom could have a private dance. But how private could it have been with the photographers still there taking pics and the dj playing the music? Well, i give the venue 5 stars anyway, just because i like the place and the owner i meet, is a nice guy. No, i didn't get any pics. When i had the chance, i forgot.

Next day, John installed the new door and a new opener. The door is very nice quality, with heavy-duty hinges. Something new (for me) is, they have a vinyl edge that seals a lot of air infiltration from around the top and sides. Tip-Top service and quality hardware. I highly recommend.

We had a very bad experience with this company. My husband had a verbal agreement with Scott to…read moreinstall tile in our shower. The crew was to start at 8:00 a.m. There were late getting to our house on the morning the project started, my husband had to call them about 8:20 to find out where they were at. They said they were on their way and had to make a stop. In the meantime, my husband had to go to work. Scott and his associate arrived about an hour late, and then became irritated because we hadn't purchased all the supplies they needed. We had no contract and they never outlined what they supplied nor what we were to supply. I then told them that my husband would come home from work within the hour and we could delineate what we needed to buy, agree on a contract, etc. We had the tile, grout, wall board, etc. At first, the contractor agreed to wait until my husband could get home and would start hanging up the wall board in the meantime. Then about 30 minutes later, Scott told me he was going to shut the water off so he could remove the shower faucet. I told him he needed to wait until my husband got home, which would be very soon. I didn't want to allow the contractor to touch our plumbing until my husband had reviewed the project with them. The contractor then became very impatient and upset with me, telling me that he didn't have time to wait another 20 minutes for my husband to get home. His time was much more valuable. I then pointed out that if he hadn't been late in the first place, we wouldn't have to wait for my husband to get back here to talk with you. Scott then became very verbally aggressive, which escalated into a full-blow argument between us. It ended with Scott telling me, "No women tells me what to do". Needless to say, I asked the contractors to leave our house immediately. Then Scott demanded $300 for his time and waited out on the lawn for my husband to arrive. My husband showed up within a few minutes of our argument, and Scott told my husband that he doesn't appreciate "a woman" telling him what to do. Needless to say, we found another contractor to complete our project.

This company is professional, organized, and talented. I've heard so many horror stories from people who've had contract work done, but H&H made the process as painless as possible. Sara, the architect and owner, designed a layout that was perfect for us, and we LOVE the results. First, I have to give a shout out to our project manager, Kevin. This guy is FANTASTIC! He always ALWAYS communicated with me, every single day, to let me know what to expect that day. He genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. He is trustworthy, honest, and does what he says he's going to do when he says he's going to do it. I think the secret to a successful remodel is having a great project manager, and Kevin is IT! Nothing is perfect this side of heaven, but Kevin is going to do his best to make sure it's as close to perfection as possible. Also, his sidekick Cademan (I hope I spelled that correctly.) is just great. At the end of the project, when we had the walk-through, Kevin noticed things that I didn't and made sure he got people out here to polish things up. I don't think I've met a more detail-oriented guy. Brittany, the designer, cares... she CARES about what you want and works so hard to make sure you're going to be happy with color and design options. She's a lovely, honest person, and I don't know how she manages to do everything she does. The subcontractors were always on time, always professional, and if there was some sort of delay or issue, Kevin made sure to let me know and make sure my needs were met. I love the fact that they have a payment plan throughout the project, milestones that you reach and then make a payment for the next part. H&H is integrous, full of talented individuals, and they are serious about quality. I have my dream bathrooms now, and I couldn't be happier. Let me tell you, paying a skilled, honest contracting company is worth every single penny. You get what you pay for. They finished the project on time, and they tried to keep me in budget... although I went a little nuts and spent too much money. haha... It's worth it, though. My bathrooms are showplaces. Steve's office is perfect. The built-ins throughout are gorgeous. One of these days, I'm hoping that we will have them build a house for us from the ground up.

Project managers who are not capable or qualified, sub contractors who perform shoddy work and lack of follow through fulfilling agreed upon standards. These folks will take demand you abide by every action under contract but when it's there turn tell you the building business doesn't operate like that. I can back up  every short cut they took and left us hanging on our unfinished and sloppy renovation. Very unprofessional as a whole and will never recommend H&H as a builder or renovation firm. You have been warned, run away.
