Windermere Center for Dentistry Finding a dentist you actually look forward to visiting is no easy task, but I've definitely found mine here. The Windermere Center for Dentistry is a clean, welcoming office that's about a 20-minute drive for me--super convenient and right near downtown Windermere. The waiting area is simple and standard (no spa-like frills, but honestly, I'm not here for the magazines). The staff at the front desk are friendly and efficient, which makes the check-in process smooth every time. Where this office really shines is the dental team itself. Everyone I've worked with has been professional, kind, and genuinely good at what they do. Cleanings are thorough but not uncomfortable, and they recently upgraded their chairs to include pillows--which is a surprisingly nice touch of comfort when you're reclined for a while. Dr. Rapport is excellent. She's knowledgeable, attentive, and you can tell she cares about her patients' dental health. Sometimes it's a little tough to catch everything she says through the mask, but that's part of the times we're in. What matters is that she explains clearly, makes sure you're taken care of, and most importantly--she keeps me on track with my oral health. At the end of the day, it's a team effort: I do my part at home, and they keep me polished and on track here. This space is not handicap accessible as the entrance is far into a plaza, without adequate parking or handicap access. The space is a poor attempt at a neo-spa environment. Though with open bays, staff and patients shouting when they should be talking, and an assembly line-like rush of services. Not conducive to individuals suffering from PTSD or anxiety of any type. Furthermore they failed to make a reasonable accommodation for a disabled person by calling in a prescription for a Schedule IV drug under F.S. 893.03 is acceptable. Instead forcing me to physically go to the pharmacy multiple times as a hardship to my disability. read more

Do not go to this dental practice. They told my ex-wife that our 15-year-old daughter had nine cavities between her teeth. Before allowing them to proceed with drilling, I sent her X-rays to another dentist and also scheduled an appointment for another examination, including new X-rays. Both dentists confirmed that she had zero cavities. Dr. Godoy-Rapport DMD is exploiting children for profit by recommending unnecessary dental procedures. For the sake of your kids, always get a second opinion and avoid this dentist. read more

I have used them only for cleanings for a few years now. They are always trying to sell us upgrades and things not covered by insurance. They also overcharge and mislead you. After receiving a quote for my son I first called the office and was basically scolded by the so-called insurance expert on staff. She then proceeded to try and explain that they charge depending on the area you live, THATS NUTS!! She then tried to explain that they use materials not covered by the insurance company and thats why the estimate was so high. I took the time to call the insurance company and was advised that they are in network and have and agreed upon written price contract. Our insurance pays up to 267 per cavity, they tried to add on another 90 plus per tooth. My son had 6 small cavities and they were trying to add over 900 to his visit on top of what the insurance would pay. Be careful if you use them and I would suggest an estimate before proceeding with them. To add insult to injury the supposed insurance expert made it very clear that I have many dentist in the area to choose from!!!!! read more

Comfortable as dentists can get. I don't think many of us like going to the dentist but Dr. Aldea and her team make it a pleasant experience. The staff is always nice and treatments are always gentle. If you dread the dentist noises as much as I do, they have TVs in each treatment room/cubicle and she gives you head phones! I've been coming here for about 3 years now and this is the best dentist office I have found in FL. I hate going to the dentist, more than any other doctor visit, but it's really not so bad here. Everyone in the office is super friendly and Dr. Aldea is so nice. I come in a few times a year for my cleaning. My hygeniest is super helpful, and they have TV's in every room so you aren't bored while you are getting your teeth polished. Dr. Aldea has filled a few cavaties for me as well and I have no complaints. She has always done an excellent job. I would absolutely recommend this office. read more

Worst place ever. The staff is frustrating and the dentist doesn't know what she's doing. She did a filling wrong twice and I'm still in a lot of pain. I'm not really sure how there are so many great reviews.. maybe I came on a bad day?? I went in for a retainer repair and came out with more problems. My appointment was at 10:00am and I did not see anyone until 10:40am. When the dentist did come in, she did not speak to me and immediately began rushing around and shoving gauze into my mouth. It was very obvious she was in a rush and simple communication could have put my mind at ease. 3 minutes later she was already out of the room without asking me any questions or even telling me what she did. I've been going here for almost 5 years now. We are a family of 5. Never had anything go wrong. The office is well run and there is never a problem with my insurance. Appointment reminders on your phone are a big help with so many of us. The hygienists are always thorough and if they ever slipped with the water jet or a scraper I don't remember it. They have a new dentist now and I was pleasantly surprised. I recently needed a replacement crown and it's perfect. I had my first cavity in years and she asked me a question no one ever has. Do you want to try it with no Novocain? We tried it and I never felt a thing. It was great walking out of there being able to feel my mouth and go eat. Highly recommend this office if you aren't into sitting in a waiting room all day as appts are always on time. read more

I have known Dr. Goday-Rapport for almost 20 years and she's been my dentist for about 15 of those. She has recently relocated to downtown Windermere (this is very convenient for me) with plenty of parking and a short walk to her office. (Geez, this sounds like an ad) Dr. Goday is the consummate professional and this is reflected in her practice, as her work is exemplary. She has a positive energy and this is seen throughout the office as you will be warmly greeted by Judy, and then meet Becky who manages this awesome practice. The office is cozy, warm clean and modern (there's a TV in every room, for distraction I guess- I just turn it off) and they are computerized to show you photos and x-rays of your teeth, so you can be involved in your treatment plan. Dr. Goday has performed a root canal on me, filled cavities, replaced old fillings, built up teeth, placed temporary and then permanent caps, ordered multiple dental hygienist cleanings and finally.... teeth whitening. Oh, And I probably should've mentioned this first... She has NEVER caused me pain. I can't say that about the other women in my life... read more

I recently moved to the area and decided to use this dentist because of proximity. My appointment was at 10:00 am, I showed up on time and was kindly greeted by the secretary. After that things quickly went downhill. I waited for over 35 minutes past my appointment just to be taken to the back, on a particularly slow day I might add. After my check up they gave me my care plan but refused to file a claim under both my primary and secondary insurance! This is completely unheard of, considering that typical dentists are more than happy to file a claim to both primary and secondary insurance companies. Coordination of benefits is VERY common. Not here. If you have two insurances they don't care, they demand you pay what your insurance company is responsible for and on your own time, seek reimbursement from your payer, unbelievable! Their reasoning behind this "policy", "We're too busy to file two insurance claims." What a joke. read more

This is the best dentist office I have ever gone to. The staff are so friendly. The office is very clean, and the dental chair is very comfortable. Much better than my last dentist office. They even have a tv in the room and ask you what you care to watch while they work on your teeth. The dentist is very sweet and gentle. I moved from East Orlando over here to the Windermere/Winter Garden area, and I love this place. I have had many dentist over the years, but this place is really great for me and my family. The staff treats me like family, and it is a relaxed atmosphere. I actually tried a Dentist in Hamlin's Grove before this place, and that place said I needed a ton of work, but in reality I didn't. I've been going to Dr. Aldea for several years now and can't recommend her enough! I had not been to the dentist in 5 years when I first started going to Windermere Center for Dentistry. Sadly, that meant lots of work that needed to be done for this soda addict :( The staff took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and outline a game-plan for me. As a new patient here waited over an hour to actually see the dentist. In the interim received x-rays from outdated equipment and got to sit around and look at the run down office. I'm guessing that this practice has more patients than they need and are just trying to capitalize on the location. Not sure, but it sure felt like I had been to a sub par outdated tourist trap. I find it ironic that they insist on charging a missed appointment fee out of respect for their time but if THEY waste your time there is no financial penalty to them. I no longer live in the area but now drive 3 hours to go to this place. BEST group of people I've ever met in a dentist office.

I never even got to see dentist, because I was deemed defiant. I moved to central Florida and made an appointment with dr.Aldea and all seemed great. However next day I was called and told I needed extra x rays. That I had to pay out of pocket for before I could get my cleaning, I was surprised, never heard of something this and said I saw my dentist in old state every six and could have everything forwarded. I was told that would not be good enough, so I asked if this request could be put I writing and given to me so I could question my insurance about it first. That is Becky told me I was being defiant and no longer welcome to be a patient. Very bizarre behavior, because I heard Dr. Aldea is really nice but I guess I will never know since I am so defiant to ask questions about my own dental help. read more
