The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. Big Rivers is great about offering reasonable pricing for families and they sponsor many nights where they spotlight groups, offering deep discounts. Parking was free. Finding a good parking spot was easy. If you got a special event, bring your walking shoes because there is a lot to see and do. Lots of activities including a petting zoo, carnival rides, axe throwing, inflatables, and more. We like that they have none of the carnival midway games that take your money for a modest prize. They offer lots of food options ranging from carnival fare like funnel cakes to regular food. Prices are what you would expect. The staff is pretty friendly, lots of young people but enough of the older folks to keep things running smoothly. Overall, it's a relatively inexpensive way to celebrate the holidays, giving you lots to do, see, and enjoy without breaking the bank.

Don Allen Holbrook the Earthquest theme park Economic Developer has lost his credentials. This…read morebillion dollar park will never get off of paper. Though he has claimed 100s of successful projects worth billions that created 50,000 jobs, the truth is that he warmed a chair on a loan board. Holbrook has not had a successful project he worked on in over a decade. Before that he was fired from 2 Economic Developer positions and not renewed for a third. He sued 1 that fired him for obvious resume fraud and threatend the other that fired him. in 2007 he filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy writing off 1.29 million in legal fees alone. In 2011 he filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy. During all this time his LLCs raked in at least 1.2 million dollars on the Earthquest international destination theme park that exists only on paper. Holbrook had a hand in every pie which smacks of conflict of interest. The originator of the ides, the developer, the designer, Baker Liesure, The East Montgomery County Improvement District and the phony charity (set up to promote the for profit theme park--not a legitimate charitable function) all paid this clown. His "Public Private Partnership" was nothing more than a way to line his pockets handsomely while the taxpayers unknowingly took all the risk. This theme park from hell will costs the taxpayers 24 million dollars if it never comes to fruition. Don Allen Holbrook sued the Houston Press, Craig Malisow, The Tribune, Cynthia Calvert, The Pahrump Valley Times, all the taxpayers who dared to comment on the waste of tax dollars and me. He was tossed out of court for lack of jurisdiction in 2012 as I predicted. He has never filed in Texas where he would have had jurisdiction. So, the taxpayers in Texas were wining and dining Holbrook on numerous extravagant trips all over the world for bupkis. Huber Heights Ohio sued him and Pahrump, Nevada ran him out after spending over a quarter million for silly studies. Holbrook wrote of his success with Earthquest in his book Where is My Smokestack in 2008. How is a 24 million dollar debacle that exists only on paper a success? Holbrook went on to bray about other non-existent or exaggerated deals. Holbrook talks a good game, but when asked to provide documentation goes off on an angry rant. He no longer has his Economic Developer credentials for good reason: Dear Ms. Dobrott, In doing my preliminary review I've discovered that Don Holbrook's membership and CEcD status lapsed a few years ago. He is no longer a member of IEDC (and therefore no longer a Fellow Member) and no longer holds the CEcD designation. We currently have no relationship with Don Holbrook and so cannot put this case in front of our Committee on Professional Conduct. There is also a petting zoo with llamas and goats and horses and even giraffes but the kids have usually been more interested in the aquarium and aviary. They also had a camel, giraffe, turtles, different types of lizards, ant eater, baby armadillo, warthog and so much more. Yeah you can get a little injured if your are thicc and have your knees and elbows rub off of the mat you're sliding on. During the party, the assigned table collapsed. The host informed us that, per the manager, guests affected by the incident could receive a complimentary beverage at the concession stand. When I went with a family member to request the drink, we were met with unpleasant and unprofessional behavior. The staff--who appeared to be a group of young employees--told us the drinks had already been "replenished," made dismissive remarks under their breath, exchanged looks, displayed attitude, and were confrontational for no reason. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I attempted to clarify the situation with additional staff, I was told something completely different. The lack of communication and the disrespectful demeanor from the concession team completely ruined the experience. Despite the nice facility, the customer service was frustrating enough that I left early and will not be returning. A business can have great amenities, but the staff's attitude makes all the difference--unfortunately, that's where this place fell short.
