She treats one patient at a time, and in that duration she devotes all of her attention and time into making sure you have the right knowledge in how to best care for yourself. I have been seeing Dr. Lan for a little over a month now. In just 2-3 sessions, I have had a decrease in body aches including joint pain and muscle aches, a major reduction in brain fog, water retention and some weight loss and an increase in energy with acupuncture and mugwort (moxa) therapy alone. Prior to seeing her I had severe body aches and they have improved by about 80% without making any major changes to my lifestyle ( I was already eating very healthy and exercising). Additionally, I used to wake up feeling exhausted but after two sessions with Lan, I started waking up clear headed and ready to start the day. My brain fog has significantly improved as well which has been critical because I am pursuing a Masters Degree. Her treatments have also regulated my cycles to 27 days apart and have improved premenstrual symptoms to the degree that I didn't even realize my next cycle was arriving. Again, this is all with acupuncture and mugwort therapy alone, without consuming any herbal therapies. Her treatments help the body metabolize "turbid fluids" as they say in TCM which helps you to reduce overall inflammation. I am still seeing Dr. Lan for the long standing digestive issues that I have due to an ulcer and food poisoning that negatively impacted my digestive health years ago. On my most recent visit, I had the "usual" (i.e., acupuncture for stress) plus ear seeding - this time to alleviate stomach issues. However, the main focus of the session was to address a patch of bothersome, unsightly varicose and spider veins on my leg that I've had since my late-teens. I've thought about having sclerotherapy for several years, but never had the procedure done because the odds of the veins simply reappearing are rather high.
