We weren't looking for a truck until we needed one, had an almost fatal accident because someone ran a red light - but truck was a total loss. Now in an effort to get our life back together, we searched on Autotrader. We found the truck we wanted, 2021 Ford F150 work truck with lock boxes and ladder rack, on Autotrader and visited Luna Car Center on 7/3/26. Sam was our sales person that helped with the sale of the truck. Since we knew what we wanted, there wasn't much going back and forth, which made for a good experience. They did not have the keys for the lock boxes that were attached to the truck and one of the main reasons we were purchasing this vehicle. We were told that they would "send" a locksmith to our house to get the locks rekeyed and they would take care of the payment for the new locks/keys, not to worry, they'd get it all scheduled. When we left to go back to our bank and Sam told us he'd get the truck filled up with gas and get it ready for us when we got back. When we returned, we were told it was ready (they only put in 1/2 tank of gas). We signed the paperwork, and were given the keys. When I asked about the locksmith for the lockboxes, I was then given the name and number of Abdul with Luna and told to give him a call, that he would set it up. I called on Monday, July 6th. He told me that he'd reach out to the locksmith and would call me back, (he didn't). I called again on Tuesday, I was then instructed to call Steve at Keymasters, he would know who to refer me to. I called Steve, he didn't know anything about Luna Car Center, but said I could call Jonathan to schedule and that we had to take the truck there because that's where the machine is for cutting the keys. I told him we'd be there on Friday, and that Luna Car Center would be taking care of the rekeying. He told me ok. Arrived on Friday afternoon to 3700 Blanco Rd., no one knew anything about Luna Car Center or any appointment. We called Abdul back and told him to please call the locksmith to let them know Luna Car Center would be paying for the rekeying of the locks. After 2 hours of sitting and waiting, no call came through - frustrated, we paid for the rekeying just to get it done. I called Abdul back and asked him why he never called. He said he did but was told they were working on a vehicle. I said, yes, ours! While I had him on the phone, I tried calling the locksmith, so I could try to get them both on the phone at the same time - but it was almost 5pm on a Friday - not a chance. Switched back to talk to Abdul and he wasn't there. Now we're asking for a refund of what we paid - which should have been taken care of by Luna Car Center as they promised. We have the receipt and would like a reimbursement. I will update my review based on further communication with Luna Car Center. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Nick was the associate that helped us. We originally got here at 12 and now it's 5:30. We asked multiple times to test drive and never got an answer. Kept getting the run around after asking to see about pricing and stuff. Then when we came back he was no where to be found and then showed up with McDonalds. I have never experienced a car place that didn't take pride in helping the customer. To top it off after we finally got to look inside and decide to walk back in he couldn't be bothered because he was on the phone with another customer. My husband bought a car back in June from here and after 2 months it broke down completely. Luna said there was nothing they could do, wrote an initial review about them saying they scammed us and sold him a faulty car and then Luna reached out saying if we took down the review they would lessen the car repairs and get him into something else.... Their price on repairs were thousands more than the specialized shop we took it to, Luna still mentioned once the car was repaired that they would still help get him into another car and buy the Subaru Impreza back. During the repairs, we reached out to them several times with no response. Now that more than $15,000 has gone into this car and it has a brand new engine, my husband went into Luna and they told him they don't want his car on their lot so they'd "look for a wholesaler", and low and beyond, crickets again. All they do is lie. This place is the worst auto center ever, I have never dealt with this kind of response from a car dealership. And reading the other reviews it seems like they sell a lot of faulty cars. The only thing Luna Car Center is good at is putting you off. Six months ago we bought a 2013 Subaru Impreza WXR STi with glowing reviews from sales staff. The car only had 71,000+ miles and 3 owners. Come to find out it's had six owners and now 3 blown engines. After less than a week we took it back. They were not interested in talking with us. Four weeks later the engine blew and now after 4 months and $15,500 to repair the engine, cylinders, rack and pinion along with Cobb port being removed prior to sales they are ignoring us. When I arrived there was plenty of parking available. I entered the services center and was greeted by a very nice service gentleman. The area was clean, kiddie tables with coloring books with tv, magazines and hot coffee. The service looked over my vehicle and determined I needed rotors in addition to my breaks. He was professional and he listened to me and he really wanted to help me. My experience took a turn for the worse when I got inside. There was this horrible manager that smelled like beer!! I don't remember his name but he had crossed or crooked eyes just like his attitude. He was rushing my sales person to give him our information. Luna is has a very small business office and you can literally hear everything in the whole building. This includes you can hear everything in the manager office without even trying. I heard the manager tell Bigshone "this chick buy shit! she is a bug! Her income doesn't check out and she is probably some kind of con artist with her fake bank statements!" I am a widow and I have survivor benefits from my late husband for me and my daughter. After hearing clearly what the manager told my sales person I was so emotional hurt. I gave Luna access to my bank statements and all my income checked out but I got the impression that the manager with the lazy eye was having a bad day or maybe he was hungover or on drugs or all three. I saw that he sniffled a lot and he would to the bathroom 3 times while I was there for about 20 minutes. I saw this not because I'm nosy but like I said its a small office. Needless to say I felt harassed by what he was saying about me to behind my back and I felt so uncomfortable sitting there while he was gesturing toward me like I was a "cockaroach"! BigShone my sales guy was terrific and the poor guy even told me that my deal was the last deal that he worked there because the manager often did this to his personal customers. I left that crooked place with their crooked eye manager and I went up the road to A-Motors and they sold me a nice little jeep for about $15,000. No one told me that I was a "cockaroach or that I had fake bank statements". I got a loan from an actual bank and I was in and out in less than 2 hours. Drove off lot check engine light on. Called them immediately Sam said oh it probably needs an oil change. Lol so I bring it down. They say it has no blue DEF? Ok why would it have no DEF shouldn't you have made sure it was ready when I bought it. So they fill it and spill it all over the engine. And cleared the code. I get home turn off the car start it again check engine on a gain. I took it to 3 different places for a diagnostic it was The EGR. They 100% disagreed. They finally pretended to fix the car, after I told them it won't pass inspection they left tools and parts in the engine. It has been one nightmare after another. Called the consumer complaints department. Turns out they reported they inspected the car 2 days after I bought it. Which was impossible because the car wasn't there. All they do is blow smoke up your a** and hound to to write a good review while your in the dealership. This place is your typical 1980's crooked car sales place. On our way to Austin to check out my top choices in new-to-me vehicles, we stopped here to check out a last-minute discovery that seemed almost too good to be true. ..can ya guess the moral of this story yet?? A salesman was on us before our own car was even in park... "What would you guys like to see today? " The 2010 Outback. "Oh? The. ..Mitsubishi?? Is that what an Outback is? It's my first day. " No, it's that blue Subaru Outback (pointing) right there. "Ah, the Mitsubaru Outside. What can I tell you about it? Mitsubishi makes great cars! " Sigh. Eventually we convinced the guy that no further words from him were necessary, to just go get the keys to that Subarishi so I could drive it. The lot is suuuuper cramped and I didn't feel comfortable pulling the car out of its parking spot, so I asked the salesman to do that for me... "Oh...I um....can't. I don't see very well and have hit another car in here before. They don't let me drive the cars anymore." Oh...thought it was your "first day", guy...LOL busted! Drove the car. Mostly really liked it, but there was a giant crack in the windshield, the brakes seemed like they needed to be replaced, and the interior was suspect - seemed as though every bit of upholstery in it had been recently replaced with black pleather. (Why??? Had this vehicle been the star of an IDchannel-type investigation or something? I don't even care - I'll drive Jack the Ripper's car, if the price is right...)(Pssst...it wasn't.) When we got back, the salesman parked us at a grungy desk in a grungy shack of an office so we could talk numbers with The Boss. We sat for over 45 minutes waiting, all the time watching the salesman mill about right outside, smoking many smokes. There seemed to be quite a few people just milling about actually - none of them customers, none of them apparently busy, none of them concerned that we were there waiting. Good times! When The Boss *did* eventually show - all greasy bluster, no apology or offer of complimentary beverage - it was the stereotypical used car salesman sitch. He refused to budge on the sticker price *at all*, despite the above-mentioned things that were wrong with the vehicle, absolutely insisting that the asking price was the price the lot had paid for it, and they were already taking a loss. Totally condescending. I literally laughed in his face. If it feels like a lemon, and quacks like a lemon.... We left, and had what turned out to be a wonderful car-buying experience at a smallish lot in Austin. In the future, I won't even consider a vehicle if I see it listed at Luna, and I'll urge my friends to do the same. Beware! read more

The prices online don't match what's on the lot, in some case a 1000 more in difference to several thousand more and this is above Blue book value. Research before you buy cause when you negotiate down all your getting is a regular priced car that you had to fight for or in most cases still over priced. Salesman was friendly and helpful, however, management failed to divulge a problem with the vehicle, which I specifically asked about. Within a week of purchasing my vehicle, the transmission began to fail. I discovered from the vehicle service log that the issue had been reported by the pervious owner (6000 miles before I purchased the car) Additionally, Luna car center had been in possession of the vehicle for 1000 miles, so they definitely knew about the problem. It was all rather fishy. Seemed like I had gotten a deal but I was sadly a swindled. Not a trustworthy dealership. As the other reviews state, I also had to bug them to get my license plates and title. Several excuses and runaround. They finally arrived after my dealer plates expired. Basically... I bought a 2009 Audi from this place and the dealer was great n all but lied to me bout changing the oil out of it when i came back to pick it up they also didnt wash it or detail it. So i bring it back next day for both ended up waiting for hours. Never saw anybody working on my car for oil change. I dont think they eveb know how to change oil out of an Audi cuz after it was supposedly done i checked it and it was dirty as fuck. They acted like i dont know my cars im mechanically inclined i know my shit. But that aint the worst of it after that day it began leaking transmission fluid so i take it in to an Audi dealership and they told me that the drain plug to my transmission was was broken and that the gasket had been ruined. It was not like that the day i bought it but after i took it back in for oil change to Luna Car sales. So dont let them touch your car if u buy one there and use extreme caution inspect everything on the car. They do give warranty but was really shady about it. I ended up paying over 1500 just to fix gaskets and drain plug to transmission my oil pan doesnt have one cuz its a german car and they change it through the dipstick not a drain plug like american vehicles. I took the car out of state and it failed the inpectton 1. $175 to fix door Handle (No pass inspection- can come open) 2. $150 to remove rear bumper and plug in wire harness for the rear license plate lights (will not pass inspection) 3. rear brakes are 25% not, 50% as stated (flat out facts) 4. Tail light was out (would not pass inspection) 5. Rear tires would not pass, worn and cracking Reached out 3 times and never heard back. WARNING DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!!!! This place is a complete SCAM. They are selling vehicles that look nice on the outside and are not good in the inside. GO TO A REPUTABLE DEALERSHIP PLEASE!!! My sister purchased her vehicle and within a week and a half the car broke down, while she was driving it shut off completely. She took the vehicle in and was told it was the blinker was not working and the engine sign was on, they stated that the car was triggered because of the electrical system. A week and half later the same issue happened again while she was driving it just shut off completely. Thank god she was not on the highway because this could have been a very bad accident. Luna Car Center does not care to sell vehicles and put people's lives at risk, they just want your money and once they have it they could care less. After the vehicle turned off she tried to turn it on and after several tries the car turned on with the engine light on. She called Luna Car Center and was told that it was normal for the vehicle to do that, WOW!!! She was then told she would have to schedule an appointment to get the vehicle checked. That same day the vehicle shut off once again and this time it was not turning on. She called Luna Car Center and was told they were going to tow the vehicle to get it checked. They towed the vehicle and then told her that it was the key battery that they replaced it and she should have no other issues. YEAH RIGHT??!!!! After this the vehicle kept doing the same and turning off while she was driving it. She called Luna and was told to take the vehicle in once again. When she arrived at Luna she was told that they were not able to run a diagnostic because the service engine light was not and she would have to wait for the issue to happen again and go back. WOW JUST WOW!!! The following day the vehicle shut off completely while my sister was headed to work. She called Luna and they told her that she would need to get it towed at her own expense. She got towed the same day and was told she might get a loaner if they had one available which they didn't once we arrived. We spoke to Estela who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She stated that she would not help my sister because she did not like the fact that I was letting her know how badly they screwed my sister over with this vehicle. Estela stated that they were doing my sister a favor and that they did not have to help her after she signed to buy a vehicle "as is". That they would service the vehicle but that there would be a charge to fix it. I told Estela that the dealership is taking advantage of people who are going there to buy a vehicle in good faith. Estela was upset and told my sister that her boss wanted me off the lot but did not tell me directly. I did not leave I stayed because I was not doing anything wrong, I was helping my sister. I was able to convince my sister to see that Luna Car Center was not going to help but will continue to just take her money to fix the vehicle. We got the vehicle towed to a reputable and honest mechanic who then told us exactly what was wrong with the vehicle. We then found out that the issue of the vehicle could only be repaired by the actual dealership of the vehicle which was Chevrolet. Worst part is that she was told that the original warranty to the vehicle had just expired a few days prior to taking it to Chevrolet. My sister has had to pay over $2800 to get the vehicle repaired Over $400 for a rental Plus towing expenses to over $250 NO ONE deserves to go through this, DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! read more

Cliffs: sells broken cars with promises of fixing it that they will never do and lie about how long the car is on the market. They also don't call you back Beware of this very shady company. They have a 2008 LS460 for sale that I was very interested in, and it was great in every aspect except two: the mechanics that sat in it got grease EVERYWHERE and the trunk latch was broken. The latter does not seem like a big deal, until you realize that the part alone is $700. However, I was still extremely interested as the rest of the car was quite nice. They agreed that it was wrong that this was broken, but they promised to make it right and fix it, and they wanted me to move on the car, claiming they had sold a lot of Lexus that day and this one had only been on the market for a few weeks (I looked it up with CarGurus, it was on the market for 120 days at that point). Knowing how some dealerships are, I told them I would buy it the minute they fixed it. They agreed and said they were going to get the part ordered and have it replaced. I even called the Lexus dealership, who could have the part there the next day, but somehow this dealership couldn't get it that fast. Well, a few days dragged into weeks. Weeks dragged into a month. Meanwhile, I personally had to call for updates as they NEVER called me even once about it. I even reached out to the manager, hoping it was the salesman (Chris) that was being incompetent or lazy, but even the general manager never reached out to me (her number is 210-426-2529) again. So, I bought another car that eventually popped up. What this tells me is that this is a very shady dealership. They are waiting for the right sucker to buy the car from them, either not knowing about the problem or getting conned into thinking they will fix it. Well, guess what? If they wouldn't fix it for someone that was planning to buy the car outright on the spot (they knew I was going to buy it in cash), they're definitely never going to fix your car like they claim they will when your money is in their hands. shopped for a car here. our sales guy was nice, but then came the finance manager. he tried screwing us over bigtime. we felt like he was pushing another car on us that he wanted to sell. when we wanted a car that was priced 2 grand cheaper, he said if we pick that one they would have to add 2 grand to the price so it would be the same anyway and we should take the other car. we were gonna finance in house, so i didnt understand. he wanted us to buy an 8k car that would come out to 10k but when we said we wanted the 6k car it was gonna come to 10k anyway. he did nothing to help us. we ended up walking out. i gave them 2 cause like i said our original salesman was nice and cool and they had a good selection.
