First timer here! The moment I walked in I was greeted by Lorraine at the register and she explained how my reward worked for my first meal. I didn't realize there were so many options and combinations you could choose from on the build your own bowl. She was very helpful and made sure I got exactly what I wanted while giving me the run down of the menu and flavor profiles of all of the different sauces. Brandi also came to check on us a couple times while I ate to make sure everything was perfect and IT WAS. The tables and chairs were really clean and the music was tasteful as well! I normally don't leave reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. The food was good and fresh. We came in about an hour before closing, and everything was prepared well and tasted great. No complaints at all regarding the quality of the meal. However, while we were sitting and enjoying our food, the cashier (a heavier Hispanic gentleman wearing prescription glasses) began making racial remarks about Arabs. What made the situation particularly uncomfortable is that my husband is Arabic something the employee obviously did not know. Everyone is entitled to their own personal opinions, but expressing racial comments openly in a public setting is inappropriate especially in a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. It creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere for guests. We hope management addresses this issue, as no customer should feel uneasy while simply trying to enjoy a meal. read more

We came at a very busy time - 5pm on a Friday before Xmas. This location does a great job of staying and feeling clean. The two people running the register seemed new. It was comforting to have Robert there, think he was a manager who knew the business and customer service. At first I was really put off at spending just over $50 for a family of four meal as it didn't sound like it would be filling and drinks weren't included (suggest they consider adding it). So when we got home and dug into the meal I was pleasantly surprise we had leftovers. Tons of rice, topped by delicious chicken, zucchini and beef (sorry don't recall the fancy name). Side of pita and a large tray of lettuce, chopped cucumber and tomatoes with vinaigrette dressing. Sauces that came with it were good. The sauce container was large so I asked if they could instead split the sauce so I. Oils try 2 different ones. They were generous by simply adding to the large container four little sauce containers for the other sauce. Overall, if the prices were a bit more manageable and/or included drinks, would add it as one of our regular options for fast food. read more

So I was in the area and had a half off an entree offer expiring so went to the Santee location instead of the RSD one nearest my home. I used to go to this one when I worked in Santee and always liked the owner/food. Have to say, it was as great or even better than I remembered. I ordered my food with the help of counter person extraordinaire, McCall(sp?). She was so helpful, even though I was having trouble ordering and then had to reorder in the phone app to get the special. She even had the manager fix something to get the order through and he was so nice( I'm tech-challenged, I admit). He even gave me an extra order of pita and tzatziki while I waited-who does that?! ( sorry, NOT the RSD location). I ordered the salmon plate. Salmon cooked perfectly and nice size piece-not smallish and charrred on one end like the last few tîmes I had it in RSD. The cabbage salad was just perfect-not too vinegary. Even the rice tasted better, a little buttery taste and cooked perfectly. They gave me a big water cup, not a little plastic see-thru one. They even checked on me at my table to see how my order was tasting. I also used the restroom and it was nice and clean. There were several couples and families eating inside and outside as I left. I was extremely impressed with both the food and service at this location and will definitely be back. Plus I earned more points and will soon earn a $10 off my order, again. read more

This Santee location (#61) in particular is the BEST! Always a fantastic experience and the food is always on point! Robert is always very courteous and customer-oriented! Can clearly see he takes the restaurant cleanliness and operations to heart and always appears to make every effort to see to the needs of all customers. On this occasion, Brandi was a Team Member and was quite a complement to the Luna experience. Love this Luna location. We have traveled about the San Diego area over the years and visited a number of different franchises. This particular Santee location stands markedly apart from the others! Love coming here! We needed a good Mediterranean spot in Santee. Grateful that Luna took over Daphne's. I've been here 5 times now and truly have always had a great experience. I salivate thinking about their santorini chicken bowl! So good! Also try their spicy feta, spicy hummus and spicy tzatziki sauce with pita. I discovered this Luna Grill location because there's a chipotle right next door that I would eat at. I decided to try Luna grill for the first time and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The staff is extremely on top of it, and the kitchen prepares the meals fresh and presents the plate very visually pleasing. The managers are always making sure their guests are comfortable and always asking if they need anything. Well we are quite, no, VERY disappointed after placing a order for delivery, food was cold and the pita was ridiculously small (skimpy on the gyro meat) compared to Greek Chicken in El Cajon. I've gone to several of the Luna Grill locations throughout San Diego and by far the one in Santee is the BEST. I go for lunch a few times out of the month for their chicken kabobs. When I picked up the salad, I asked for the dressing and was told it had already been added. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened everything, the salad had no dressing at all. We were also given only one small container of ranch for two large orders of fried zucchini. The salad was basically a tray of plain lettuce, and without dressing it wasn't enjoyable. By the time we finally sat down to eat, almost 2 hours had passed since the food had been packed. The hot food was no longer hot, the order was incomplete, and it felt like there was very little care or attention given to getting it right. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my daughter, and instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience.
