This place has gone so far downhill I think because they changed ownership in the last couple of years. We used to be weekly customers, and stopped after a handful of awful experiences. Bring back the OG waitresses, or at least competent ones. The elderly waitress is clueless, as is the girl who has difficult hearing. We walked in today to try it again as it's been at least 6 months, and walked right out. First there was merely one table full at lunchtime. That should tell you something. THE SMELL IS ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMING, please, fix your exhaust system?!!!. The smell of smoke and burnt stench is so strong, you cannot sit in there. Your hair, and clothing reek afterwards. Got takeout today the cashier was very kind and accommodating but unfortunately the salad was soggy even without dressing on it. We were there around 2 1/2 months ago and ordered as usual our wings, pizza, garlic, knots, etc. We were not happy with the service or the food, but everyone has a bad night. When we went back this week and we were very disappointed once again the wings were cold and I asked for them well done they usually come with focaccia bread, which we had to ask for and the server brought us two pieces that were hard. He was the only bartender and server on and was running around doing the best he could, but we waited for our beer and appetizer so we decided to not order our pizza. I order a pie with Prosciutto. The pie was burnt on one side of the pizza. Burnt to the point, well, that's what it tasted like; burnt bread. The prosciutto was put on the top by whole slice, so when you took a pie slice the prosciutto on the next slice would flop around. You cant pick up a slice and eat it without worrying about the meat going all over the place. Why not shred the prosciutto up a little into more bit size pieces? I probably won't be returning. Oh, and the pie was done too early. I went out to run some errands and arrived 15 minutes early and the pie was ready. If I had arrived on time the pie would have just been sitting there for 15 minutes.....If management responds and acknowledges this review, I'll take it down. read more

Well, this was a shocker!! We usually go for happy hour after golf game on Wednesday. We are leaving for Europe tomorrow, Friday and decided to go for happy hour this afternoon, Thursday. We noticed that the happy menu was changed. They now have $5 Bites and $5 drinks. Nothing exciting and tempting on the menu so, we ordered small pizza, half cheese and half sausage, 2 beers and small salad. It came to $47+$8 tip=$55+ total. Reason for price changed? Everything got to expensive!! I feel sorry for the workers for they didn't look happy for a place to work. A couple came after us and wanted to order Flatbread with Spinach and the bartender informed them that they can't make it because they didn't have spinach. We left about 5pm and there were 6 customers in the restaurant and bar. It is sad that business owners is struggling with bad economy and rents of these businesses don't go down. They are working for the landlords. My wife and I decided that we can't go on eating at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza anymore. We will miss Amanda, great bartender. I really love this place for dine-in. Takeout was however a disappointment. Good things: their pizza is amazing. Regular and gluten-free. Service was good as well for dine-in. Not so good: for the takeout, we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 tuna salad sandwiches. Total was almost $80! There was hardly any tuna in the sandwiches. Mostly bread. And we opened the sandwiches to look. So I wouldn't order those sandwiches again. The pizza is outstanding if you eat it on the spot. Leftovers not as good... Location is very convenient bc the plaza has a ton of shopping. The people here are very friendly. I often order big lunches to be delivered or so pick them up. Anthony's always has everything ready with setups and service utensils. My customers love it! I usually do pizza , salad and meatballs or wings. The salad is excellent with Gorgonzola cheese , eggs , tomatoes, olives and garbanzo beans. Everyone raves about the meatballs and wings as well as the pizza. Some of my go to's in the pizza are meatball, mozzarella/tomato/ basil and cauliflower. We also enjoy finding here. Great menu, lots of choices and a very casual but nice ambience. They play good music:-) TVs at the bar to keep up with any games. Anthony's is my favorite pizza in the whole USA. While we lived in Arizona I sent an email to beg Anthony's to open a location there, they did not. Had to move back to Florida just to get my pizza fix. They actually have way more than just pizza. Their wings are done in the 900 degree oven so they are actually healthy. They have the best salad and excellent Italian tuna salad and so much more. This location is worth driving to from Port Saint Lucie. Love the texture of the dough and the flavor of the coal fired oven. The pizza sauce is really perfect. Love the salad with chick peas, onions, olives. The dressing is really good. My only ding was against their cookies. I thought that would be fresh but after ordering them, they came in a package (processed/pre made). They aren't bad, just not what I expected compared to the level of quality from the other food. Tiramisu is really good. Onto the food -- it's very good! Must orders are the wings, the family style salad and the Paul and Young Ron pizza. Wings: I'm a big fan of the caramelized onions mounting the crispy, yet meaty wings. Salad: Classic Italian salad with a bright dressing. Paul and Young Ron is a meat lovers dream pie. And the crisp crust is substantial enough to support the crazy amount of toppings. I will say that these are my go-to dishes when dining at Anthony's. May have been the worst pizza I've ever had. Whoever supervised the pizza makers should do their job. One piece would have a big hunk of tomato sauce and the next piece had none. Born and raised in pizza country, New Haven CT. I wanted to love this pizza but it falls far short. The key to great pizza is the dough and this dough was not good, more bread like than chewy like the dough you get in New Haven. They get that by using a combo of 000 flour and AP flour and then letting the dough ferment for at least 3-5 days. Long story short this dough was not cutting it. A shame because the toppings were decent and it's obvious they could get a char (another critical feature). Price is high which is not a problem if the pizza was top notch but it was not.
