Another quiet evening at Scola's. He enjoyed the "moo of the moment" which was a baseball streak ( tender and flavorful) and I enjoyed Tre Rustico (a tasty pasta dish) with plenty leftover for lunch the next day.

Ordered on dineblast. No update on order besides your order is confirmed so decided to go down. Order was done on counter. Not sure for how long. Food was tasty. Portions went way down!Prices went up! Staff are always friendly. Won't rush back due to portions vs. pricing.

Food was gross. No flavor. Soggy. Waitress didn't care when brought to their attention. Will NEVER be back.

Last night…read morewas date night with my two girlfriends and we met up with some of our foodie friends for another food adventure--this time, it took us to the Caribbean. Criollo is located in a small strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as you open the doors you know you're in for a treat. The decor is polished and cozy with a nice bar area; the kitchen is semi-open so you can see the flames as your food is firing. They have fantastic Caribbean and Puerto Rican fare with beautiful, thoughtfully crafted cocktails. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Here were some of the highlights: -Chicharron: crispy pork belly bites, need I say more -Alcapurria jueyes (Fried crab fritters): golden, crispy fritter with a crunchy exterior and soft, savory inside with flavorful crab filling. The fresh bites from the onion slaw were a nice touch with these. -Chicken empanadas: dip these in the pink sauce with a touch of their spicy sauce and you're in heaven. Slightly crisp and flaky exterior with a tender, chewy bite, perfect for holding the delicious filling. -Mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce: if you've never tried garlic sauce on Mofongo, I highly suggest it. It's creamy and garlicky in all the right ways. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the Mofongo brought me right back to my trip to Puerto Rico where I first fell in love with it. -Churros: truly the best ones I ever had. It was a last minute add on because "why not!" and the best decision! We made reservations for 6:30pm and when we arrived it wasn't overly busy, but by the time we left every table was filled. And that's no surprise based on our experience.

Five Star Food And Service At The Village Inn!…read more We decided to check out The Village Inn in Dracut MA seeing so many posts that people enjoyed it. It was 4 pm on a Saturday and the place was very busy. We thought we were going early. There was one booth left.... 4 is not early at this place. Sat down and server Charlie came right over to take out drinks order. He came back shortly after with water, the drinks and a basket of 2 crusty rolls that were right out of the oven with a generous amount of butter. You didn't have to ask for bread like at a lot of establishments, or have them say no, we don't have any bread like you see everywhere today. I decided to order the Baked Seafood Platter $26.99! I wanted to try the scallops, fish and baked stuffed shrimp, so what better way than to get a little of each? I was a little skeptical.. lately I have been getting horrible wet scallops that are treated with chemicals. Thought for sure it was going to be another disappointment with the Scallops, but I figured I had the other two items so why not go for it? I got a baked potato and carrots as well. All came on a plate with delicious looking buttery cracker crumb topping. I gotta tell you my first bite was a scallop. The look on my face told it all! I couldn't believe how sweet and delicious those scallops were! They were delicious, and I mean delicious! The fish was fresh (not frozen or old) and delicious as well. The shrimp were smaller ones but also delicious. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and the carrots were fresh and perfectly cooked and seemed to have a hint of maple syrup in them. A lot of places you get carrots and they are either frozen or raw. Not here. My husband decided to try the Prime Rib. He said he called to check and see if they had Prime Rib the night we were going, and a guy told him they have it every night. He got the smaller 16 oz piece for $31.99. Turns out it was super tender, cooked perfectly, the aujus was the real deal and not salty canned beef broth. He also got baked potato and onion rings ($1.49 upcharge). We loved the onion rings as well. Thin slices of onion perfectly fried. He said the 16 oz was more than enough and ate it all. This place is a hidden gem. A lot of comments mention it being dated, etc. It is clean and pleasant. I go to a restaurant for delicious food hopefully at a very reasonable price. The Village Inn fits that bill. Couldn't believe how good the food was and the prices they charge very resonable! When were leaving there people waiting all over the place. Good thing we didn't go later, we may have not waited. Now that we know how good it is, we would wait. There menu is a vast assortment, something for everyone. Our server Charlie was AWESOME!!! Very attentive and knowledgeable. When we mentioned how delicious everything was, he was so happy and said he would let his family know. He also said to try the steak tips they are very good. I have read that their tip are delicious. Finally, we touched on a restaurant that satisfies all points of going out to eat at a restaurant. Food: delicious, Service: excellent, Price: Very reasonable, and loads of parking! We will be regulars for sure! The full service bar offers beer, wine, and cocktails. The music is a bit loud here and there are "Roku" TVs throughout the place. I stopped by Eko's Bar & Grill for dinner recently and took a seat at the bar which actually has a few hightop tables & chairs at the bar. The Roku TVs were not showing live TV, so I had to watch my football game on my phone as I was deciding on food. I requested an ice water and placed an order for the Seafood Chicharron ($18.99 plus tax) and the EKO's Veggie Burger ($14.99 plus tax) with fries. However, my food order took a long time to come out, 40 minutes to come out for both the starter and entree at the same time. The Seafood Chicharron plate had a sampling of fried seafood & onion rings including calamari, shrimp, and salty fish filet, served with a dijon mustard dipping sauce. The Veggie Burger was very thick & heavy, which was comprised of a thick soft lentil & sweet potato patty with lettuce, tomato, & yellow sauce on a soft bun. The salted fries were hot & crispy. After barely finishing both the appetizer and veggie burger & fries, I requested the check. The check with Toast QR code was $36.36 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food here was good and very filling to eat. Other than the very long wait, I was able to watch my game on my phone and enjoy the tasty food at the same time.
