They were the easiest and most helpful company I have ever worked with. From the sales, front office and to the working crew. Everyone was great. The price was on par and even gave me a military discount. They always kept me updated on deliveries and crew arrival. It was a tough job as it was a 2 story house, with a very steep angle roof. They also replaced some of my siding the was damaged in a storm years before. I am very pleased with the quality of the GAF product and have a transferable warranty. Last week (4/8 & 4/9/25)Brian and Ed of Northern Windows replaced our original 1987 four large picture windows in our Timber Valley, Ramsey, NJ Condo. My wife and I just completed our third project, with Northern Windows, in Feb. 2024. The first project was to replace the roof, on our shed in April of 2023. The second project was to replace all of the windows in our home including a picture window with a bow window. Steve was the sales representative for each project. He was very professional, personable and knowledgeable of the products. He was also helpful in discussing and selecting the different features and options for the projects, including the installation. All the projects went smoothly and were accomplished on schedule. Anthony and his team did a wonderful job with replacing the windows. He is also the one who measures each window to make sure the new ones fit properly. Ted and Jason installed the new doors. They tended to all of the details including some unexpected issues which were resolved, on the spot, without additional cost, or impeding the schedule. Their products are of good quality and the installation and workman ship are neat and thorough. Everything fits together, as you would expect it too and looks great when completed. The people ae courteous, and clean up/remove all dust and debris when they are through. In summary we highly recommend Northern Windows and will use them again for our next project. read more

I had construction windows dating back to 1995, after some amount of shopping around, I met with Tim from Northern Windows, he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He explained the service and product well and arranged for 4 windows and my sliding dooring to be replaced. The wait was approximately 3 months given the supply chain covid related issues. Everything went well once a date was received for installation, Karen called, gave me a date after advising the windows had arrived, and I was very lucky to have Ted assigned to install my new windows and door, he arrived on time each day and completed the installation with laser focus, his work is detailed and he leaves the site extermely clean. The job was completed a day earlier than planned and Ted was inconspicuous as he moved back and forth until the job was done, he then patiently explained how the windows worked. Did I mention he does great carpentry work and had to get creative in order for my new sliding door to fit properly, he works neatly and i couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. As luck would have it, the weather has been unusually mild so Ive not had a chance to see how well they stand up to extreme cold but I have noticed a difference even at current temperatures. If you get the owners nephew, request a new salesman, he's duplicitous at best. He'll say anything to make the sale...Get it in writing. The roofing subcontractor did great work, although his employee stole from me ( the subcontractor made more than proper amends). The sub who replaced my gutters and soffits did poor work. I had to loan him tools, and he made me take care of a nest of hornets his crew found...he is lazy. I recently found out he didn't properly vent my roof after he and Northern Windows assured me it would be done properly. I'm satisfied with the roofing job, dissatisfied with the work of the sub who replaced my gutters and soffits and distrustful of the nephew sales boy. Hi! We just bought our house almost three years ago and desperately wanted to update a few things. I called Northern Windows and spoke to Steve Murray and arranged a meeting with him to discuss what we wanted done and make our selections. Upon meeting with Steve, I was highly impressed with his knowledge and professionalism; which spoke volumes I should add, and I decided to proceed and give them my business. That was the best decision I have ever made. I ordered a new front door and redid ALL of the windows in our home ( 15 to be exact). Well let me tell you about the job that was done. I have never been more impressed than I was with Northern. First, everyone is professional, secondly, the job was completed in a timely and fashionable manner. When (trying) to order a Larson door i was gien what i understood to be misinformation about it. The owner turned me away from it saying it was not a very secure door and only withstood 300 lbs of force. I called the company to check this and it was not only untrue but the door was built to withstand tensile strength 800 lbs per linear inch . Which in laymans terms means 800 lbs of force per inch..I called back to tell the owner Steve just for future reference so he wouldn't spread misinformation but instead of wanting to hear what the company said, he said he didn't want to hear it. It is one thing to not admit when you are wrong but another to continue to perpetuate a lie about something as important as the actual security of a security door. I wouldn't have left a bad review if only he would have at least listened to me or called the company to find out the truth himself. It was just weird. read more
