Strawberry Matcha and Vanilla Latte
Nicole C.

I been coming to Lunar since its very close by me and I have to say, their matcha never disappoints. The baristas at the counter are very nice. Inside the cafe is very inviting and chill and its always so packed inside, the way the cafe is set up if a little awkward if your waiting for your order. I would say that their coffee is okay, the matcha is really the star of the show. 10 out of 10 would come visit again.

Cool menu. Asian Inspired Flavors. Good coffee, wasn't too sweet and was perfectly balance. The coffee shop is pretty small and was super crowded midday Saturday. There was not one spot to sit down and enjoy a dessert or drink in house. The staff seemed kind but weren't eager to assist with questions about the menu or provided any suggestions. I would visit again maybe during the week. I had the cloud ube coffee and a matcha coffee . matcha cookie was amazing. Wish i would've gotten the black sesame latte as the ube coffee wasn't anything special, but def visually pleasing. Parking is in a plaza, pretty busy.

Finally! A cozy cafe with an ambience like no other place in Tampa! I was so excited to try out their coffee. They have unique flavors and blends that are absolutely delicious. The cafe itself was easy to find. Parking lot is large and easy to find. As soon as I walked in, you can sense a feeling of calmness and peace. They played classical piano instrumentals and it honestly gave me the best experience. This says a lot about a place because it's not just good coffee it's also having a quiet clean cafe that's good on the eye. And the music ?- YES ! Now the coffee. I can simply say after traveling all over the world and being incredibly picky with my coffee, Lunar coffee is 10/10 and rated the BEST in Tampa. My go to spot now.

Pandan Coconut Latte

Got one of their specials, the Pandan Coconut Latte and was honestly disappointed. I had heard such rave reviews about this place previously, but the latte I got barely tasted like pandan or coconut. One plus though is that they can make a standard latte well. I'd be down to try another menu item again another day, maybe that drink just wasn't it.

One of the best strawberry matcha lattes I've ever had. Thank you to Tiktok for this gem. I was in Tampa and needed my matcha fix, and read the Yelp reviews in addition to the Tiktok comments - which I knew I needed to stop into Lunar Coffee. It's located in a plaza but you do have to look for it because I drove past it when trying to locate it on my GPS. This shop is quaint and cozy, but for a Saturday afternoon it was pretty busy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wanted to order the ube cloud matcha latte, however when I watched the video reviews on Tiktok; everyone raved about their strawberry matcha latte. I ordered the latte with oat milk and it came out to $7.75 with tax. I loved that you can watch them whisk the matcha, which they use organic ceremonial grade as well. I was so excited to try it once I saw the presentation of the drink. It was so pretty! The first sip had me in a chokehold. It was perfectly sweetened and the freshness of the strawberry puree was amazing. The puree is also house made - not the fake stuff! This was refreshing pick me up for a warm September day. I highly enjoyed this matcha latte and look forward to stopping back by to Lunar Coffee whenever I am in the Temple Terrace area.

Interesting drinks in an aesthetically pleasing environment! I've enjoyed various matcha drinks from here previously including strawberry and ube. Their matcha is very traditional and you definitely need to ask for sweetener if you want it. I prefer the ube drinks from Sorbo because they are sweeter. I truly enjoyed the sweet corn latte, which was something I'd never tried previously. The interior is modern yet inviting with tables of various sizes to set up shop for work, or just hangout. Prices are average for a coffee shop of this caliber.

Was in the area and had heard about this cafe. Stopped in for a strawberry matcha. Unfortunately, I can't say I would recommend. The drink was mostly milk, layer of strawberry was non existent as was the matcha. I really wanted to like this place as the aesthetic was lovely.

This place was cute, super tucked away and semi hard to find. If it wasn't on my GPS I may have never seen it. It's a nice shop though, pretty small but super busy. So busy that after I ordered I went outside to wait because there was essentially no where to comfortably stand. I love that they're busy though, that means people know they're there. I ordered an ube latte with oat milk. It was good, could've been a little sweeter but I'm not complaining. I was very much in need of coffee and it hit the spot.

So good that it's always packed here. I cry just because I really like studying here, and I wish there were more seats. The vibes are great, the drinks are great, the decor is peaceful, and the music is not too loud, which is great for getting some work done. I guess a lot of people agree with me because the cafe is always full of patrons. Come early if you want a seat! I recommend the pumpkin chai (which is seasonal) or the matcha strawberry latte. You can adjust the sweetness, and I think doing 50% sweetness is good.

The service here is excellent! They bring your drinks to you. I love their seasonal drinks like the Korean corn latte. I tried the Hochija iced latte this time and it was perfectly sweetened with simple syrup. My friend had the Vietnamese coffee, which was very strong but not as creamy as a true cafe sua da would be. The coffee itself had great flavor. I also had the miso brown butter cookie, omg it was delicious!!! There is ample seating here with outlets and the place is super clean. The barista takes care to wipe down surfaces after customers leave. Such a good spot for the USF area. Lots of parking in front and is in a big plaza.

Bonjour my lovely people !! If you're in the area and looking for a great coffee/drink spot look no further than lunar coffee. From specialty ube drinks to anything you can think of they got it here. I ordered the garlic butter croissant and it was exceptional , it had a good amount of butter inside and was the perfect mix of sweet/savory. As for the ambiance it's fairly spacious and energizing. A great place to study and get work done

I love it! I pretty much felt that right away when we walked into this modern & chill atmosphere. The menus are on full display at the ordering counter. There is a seasonal menu as well. There are pastries and other treats in full view as you're deciding on what type of coffee or tea brew to order. The Black Sesame Rice Krispies were too tempting to pass up. They were sitting there on the counter begging me to buy them. What else was I supposed to do? You place your order at the counter, and they bring it out to your table when it's ready. Our barista was wonderful. She had quite a few people there, but seemed to handle the flow very well. There were a few students or remote workers using their Wi-Fi during the morning hours. I'm not sure if it's this quiet later in the day. It was very relaxing, as well as the soft music. The Black Sesame Latte was amazing! I love that they use unique house-made syrups in their signature drinks. They have other Asian inspired flavors, but I'd never had black sesame with espresso. It really does go well together. There was even some sweet black sesame grinds at the bottom of the cup. It's definitely a good choice for lovers of espresso based drinks. Their coffee beans come from a Brooklyn based coffee roaster named Parlor Coffee. I could taste the quality of the coffee in this cup. The sesame didn't overpower it. My friend let me sample her Korean Sweet Corn Latte. This one was iced and had a smooth cold brew feel to it. I think it was the sweet vanilla corn foam or the condensed milk that made it so creamy. It was very good. Perfect for those who like sweeter drinks. It even had a little corn nut topping. I had the Black Sesame Rice Krispie treat the following day with coffee. It felt like the same great experience all over again. I'm now loving black sesame in baked goods. If you love sesame candies (like me), then you'll love this. Honestly, I can't wait to go back to try other signature and seasonal flavors. There's a rose matcha tea that I'd love to try. I also meant to get the ube mochi brownie, but that didn't happen. The rice krispie treat threw me for a loop. There's also a miso brown butter chocolate chip cookie that I want to try next time.

When ordering, was told they had no pork, which goes on their Cuban Sandwich, the "award winning" sandwich they are known for. Not sure how this happens when it's your "thing". Took over an hour to get food. The side salad was not good. It had lettuce, a few shaved carrots, and that it. The burger and chicken cordon bleu sandwich were good. You feel like you're on vacation in the large, well appointed space. You can work, scroll, dine, sip or just chill out and scroll at one of the many high tops, tables or couches inside. There's also a large, sunken courtyard outside (right next door, a few steps down. I love the look and location of it.) I'll return to test out all the seating options and report back. But back to this first visit: I couldn't find a menu online ahead of time, so I walked in with a blank slate. They had a menu next to the case full of desserts. I settled on a Yemeni-style hot chai tea and a divine pistachio pastry, with so many flaky layers, sweet honey and a delicate pistachio flavor. I also chose a high top by the window, to enjoy them both. It's such a great environment in here-busy and bubbly but not loud. I can't wait to soak that up-with a different tea and sweet treat. The trip back will be easy. Qamaria is at the corner of 56th Street and Fowler in Temple Terrace, in a brick strip mall... with a huge parking lot, leafy shade trees at one end and lots of other middle eastern delights to try out, in that same plaza. Prices seemed fair, service was fast and it was very clean. Looking forward to grabbing one of the colorful cushioned seats for a reset, soon. Cheers!

It's so casual and laid back. This adorable hangout would melt away any work frazzles I could possible walk in with. I love the low ceilings and the vintage hardwood floors and the slouchy couch and the eastern light streaming in the front window of this older, repurposed home. There's original artwork everywhere, including the ceiling (some of it's for sale). There's also a rack of clothing items, jewelry, scrunchies and other items for sale. But that's fine, a lot of people apparently are seeking such and that's exactly what you get here: a sizable space that could easily be small restaurant but as they have it is one large room with plenty of space to sit at a table, smoke a hookah, play cards, drink Turkish coffee or tea, and gossip far into the small hours of the night. There is space to sit on a patio in front of the coffeehouse as well on nice, pleasant, nights. This is a real, bona fide, Middle Eastern-style coffeehouse. It is where men--and yes, mostly men--gather from the early evening into the wee hours to meet with friends, smoke, and play cards. The dark Turkish coffee and tea fuels these deep into the night card games. When I was here it was mostly middle-aged men--a lot of them taxi drivers I have to presume because numerous taxi cabs were parked in the parking lot. Some college-aged dudes, too. But everyone was drinking coffee, smoking hookah, and playing cards. It's brightly-lit so that you can see your cards and not like an Americanized hookah bar designed to be part of a varied night of bar-hopping. No, not at all. This is a place to come for a good portion of the night and you'll find establishments like this all over the Middle East, Turkey, and Maghreb. With some variation, you'll find them in Iraq, Iran, and Eastern Europe, too. But again: this is the real deal. They had Warda on the stereo. Nearly everyone was speaking Arabic. I don't smoke, but I do appreciate the culture of this place and am glad it's here. I don't think they serve food however I saw people bringing food in from Green Land Restaurant next door, which I think is owned by the same folks, and that seemed fine.

Then one of my friends who tried it after me, said they need to dip it in pistachio because the ice cream itself doesn't taste like anything. What if someone has a nut allergy? So I decided to go for the baklava. I know, I know, there is pistachio in it, but I love baklava and thought I could just remove most of the pistachios. Yea, that didn't work as I thought.
