Hopefully I am not exposing anyone's secret spot, but Leads Coffeehouse is arguably THE secret garden of the Tampa-proper coffee shop scene and hang out. I had the opportunity to stop by last week with some co-workers while we were all running low on some caffeine and was extremely happy with finding Leads Coffeehouse. Located where some might call the "Cusp of South Tampa" (no - actually, no one calls it that and realistically it's only self-proclaimed branding is what's happening here), Leads Coffeehouse is right off North Himes Avenue, paralleling the main drag of Dale Mabry. It does seem like it's in the neighborhood cuts, but that is arguably a part of the appeal of Leads Coffee. The shop does not make itself apparent - whether you're driving by or deliberately looking for it. The signs seem to indicate a Guzman Law Firm, along with Networking Leads - which seem to be some sort of co-working space. However, if you look closely at the sign - you will notice the coffeehouse in fine print. Even as you are walking up, the coffeehouse appears hidden in plain sight - almost like a speakeasy, but for coffee, i.e. legalized crack for daywalkers. There is a parking lot for the venue, however the spaces are rather limited. Inside, you will find a very inviting space with home-y decor and color palettes to match. The seating appears very conducive for study and small work gatherings. Aside from that, I found the postal card mailbox extremely interesting and I will definitely come back here to take advantage of this offering. There is a "traditional" coffee menu with specialized drinks, along with a seasonal bevvie list. Additionally, you can order small eats and baked goods. The baristas and servers are extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall, Leads Coffeehouse is ultimately a great coffee shop to bring friends, family, and co-workers to share company with!

Was looking for a new coffee spot and stumbled upon, Leads! Tucked away in an office building in West Tampa. From first glance, it doesn't look like much but once inside-- it is so precious and spacious and cozy. Their decor is amazing. They plenty of seating and tables. They also have board games as well for dates or groups of friends. I got their seasonal drink: Harvest Brew. Orange & Cardamom with an Orange Cold Foam. I am a big fan of orange in my lattes so I was excited! The latte itself was good but I wish they went harder with the cardamom and the orange cold foam tasted odd to me. Almost like sour cream. I assume, hopefully, it's the orange in it & to suggest maybe adding simple syrup as well to the cold foam. I also got their Chicken Salad on Croissant & that was so delicious. No complaints, except that I wish they had options to add lettuce & tomatoes. Also I saw a review that it is onion forward and that holds true! I ended up going back in for a pastry & got their cinnamon roll & my god was it good. Absolutely amazing. Service was amazing-- everything came out quickly & brought to you. I tried to have conversation with the only barista there but it seemed a bit rushed since he also had a friend at the counter he was having a conversation with. But from what I gathered is that have events here such as open mic & bookclub-- they post updates on their instagram. They also closed for a bit & then opened back up. They are also partnered with the networking place next to them. Can't wait to go back!

I recently moved to this area and have been looking for a coffee shop to work remotely from and stumbled upon Leads Coffeehouse while searching Yelp. I'm so glad I tried this place! The inside is large and there were a lot of people there working, but not an overwhelming amount to feel crowded. I had a hot salted caramel latte that was delicious! I also got the chicken salad sandwich, but felt there was too much chicken salad on it and it was also very onion heavy (which isn't my personal preference). I stayed for a few hours to knock some work out and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Came in to get some more computer work done. It's a cozy and cute spot. I must have come during busy hours because it was absolutely packed with other people who had the same idea as me. The matcha latte was pretty good considering I "heath-ifid" it. I saved most of it for later and drank it the next day, and it was still good. The matcha latte with honey is so much better.

I was looking for a chill spot to get some work done and found this coffee shop, so glad I did! It's super cozy, the vibes are great and the baristas were super sweet and friendly. It's the kind of place where you can sit with your laptop, enjoy a good coffee or just hang out and read a book. I had a café con leche and it was really good! Definitely recommending this spot and can't wait to go back if I passing around this area!

Thanks, Yelp-this was totally your doing. I *never would have found Leads Coffeehouse without you! It's quietly sitting there, in a two story professional building... all calm and self-assured-not shouting about itself. And that's how you feel when you go inside. It's chill, it's laid back, it's casual... and you can soak up that vibe at high tops and tables, chair/couch seating. You can sit and get work done-or gather with friends/colleagues. And yeah, there's refreshments! The menu isn't super large, but the hot matcha latte with lavender was very comforting, tasty and smooth. The Cuban toast was crunchy, buttery and like the tea, cinforting. (You can also get it with cheese). The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming-as sunny as the morning light outside. I felt like they were truly glad to see me. You order at a counter in the back left corner, pick your own spot to sit... and they'll bring your order to you. Three sips into that yummy matcha and I was as relaxed as the rest of the place. This would be a great place to have a small work meeting-or catch up on your own work. I sat and read through a ton of emails and loved the zen feel of it. I'd definitely return.

Great coffee spot!! I had low expectations and I love it when I get very impressed. The interior is so cozy and I love the chill music to make the vibe more comfortable. The coffee actually tasted really good and the sizes for the price is amazing! Our son loved the chocolate chip cookies even though they tasted kinda like pre-packaged cookies. The service was nice and quick. This is an excellent place to get work done and seems very professional. Love the motivational quotes everywhere. I would totally come back whenever we're in town again!

Cute coffee shop with baked goods and snack options! The vibes are casual and include a TV (which had the news on when we came), couch seating and tables--great for getting work done, going on a coffee date, or yapping with a group of friends. They also host some events at the space. I really enjoyed my butterscotch latte! The butterscotch syrup isn't listed on the menu but they had it available when I asked what syrups they had.

You wouldn't know there is a coffee house from driving by. Nice vibes, comfortable environment. Simple options of coffee and food, but what I got was good. It also has mocktails.

Great place with maybe the best staff in Tampa. Really a nice place for coffee and food near RayJay and close to all things Tampa. Some of the best coffee in the area, and this place is Seattle of the southeast. Florida knows coffee. Cuban, Colombian, Arabian, Italian it's all here. Check this place out. I'm sure you will be adding it to your list.

Cute little coffee spot. Service was great. Delicious coffee and pastries. Seems like a great place to have a small meeting or meet up with a friend.

Stumbled upon Leads Coffeehouse after stopping in elsewhere upstairs. Awesome spot to get some work done. Really friendly staff, free wifi, snacks, and coffee offerings. It's impossible not to feel productive in a space like this!

Even better is that they have chocolate hazelnut, and I'm always on the lookout for anything hazelnut, which seems to be something of rarity outside of Europe. Suffice to say, Amorino's gelato did not disappoint! Smooth, creamy, refreshing, with that distinct hazelnut flavor mixed with the bold complex taste of their coffee gelato (i got two flavors in one cup). The girls behind the counter were very nice and helpful and managed to swipe my card since I'm not able to pay via app??!! (you have to order and pay via kiosk) and it was overall not a problem. They have cute little outside tables that are shaded to give you more of that European sidewalk cafe feel. My ONE regret was getting a cup that was maybe a tad too small. I can't remember if I can size up, if so, I'm getting a bigger cup.

Alas, that moment of reckoning came on this temperate Floridian-November day when I made the journey during my lunch break to the establishment. Located on the corner of MacDill Avenue and Cypress Street, AstroBrew is accessible from both Northbound and Southbound directions of MacDill Ave, while the Westbound avenue of Cypress St appears to be the only way of getting into the plaza. AstroBrew occupies the corner pivot of the ranch-style structure, along with other tenants (a massage service and an incoming Peruvian restaurant). AstroBrew maintains a clean and neat aesthetic inside which provided a very inviting and welcoming vibe. While offering an exquisite range of beverages from coffee to kava, I was super delighted to discover that AstroBrew offered Chaga - namely in their Chaga-cino drink. As a matter of fact, in my brief search of the various coffee houses in Tampa, AstroBrew appears to be the only one that serves Chagga. For those who are unfamiliar with Chaga, it's a type of mushroom that can be mixed with coffee. While I'm not here to explain the benefits of mushrooms, cordyceps, and psilocybins, Chaga is a great supplement when it comes to energy and mental boosts. Ultimately, it was a great choice, and I immediately felt reenergized for the rest of the afternoon. The barista at AstroBrew was also incredibly friendly and brilliant. She was a delight to converse with as she concocted the drink. Overall, I highly recommend AstroBrew if you're seeking something more than a caffeine boost or a PSL-fix!

It's a cute little coffee shop with minimal seating , a couple photo op booths and I saw some pastry items. ordered two drinks, one for me and one for my daughter. I had a lavender vanilla latte with coconut milk. The flavor was gentle, but I had a hard time pinpointing the lavender and vanilla compared to a similar drink I've had at Disney, which was delicious more smooth and memorable. This one leaned a bit flat for me. It also wasn't quite sweet enough, so I asked for additional sweetener (they handed me a cup of syrup), and I just added to taste ...but even then it didn't fully hit the spot. My daughter ordered the banana split smoothie, which is supposed to include strawberry, banana, blueberry, and chocolate. I specifically asked ahead of time whether it used real fruit because I wanted to avoid the added sugars and I was told it was made with frozen fruit which I appreciated since so many places rely on flavored powders. I also requested light chocolate and no added sugar. Unfortunately, the smoothie still came out much sweeter than expected. My daughter took one sip and didn't want the rest, and I couldn't finish it either. For about $15 for two drinks, it just didn't feel like a great value this time. I wouldn't say the drinks were bad...just not what we were hoping for, especially given the customization requests. I'm not sure I would come back based on this visit, but I do appreciate trying something different and can see how others might enjoy these drinks more than we did.
