Got the chicken teriyaki. It was just veg and overcooked chicken bits covered in watery slime. I would've expected this to be above Panda Express in levels of food quality but it was worse than frozen Chinese food and costs more. I unfortunately can't recommend this and I wouldn't return. Had not ordered from them for a long time and I quickly remembered why. The potstickers were not like any I've had before. They deep fried them and the outside was super hard and the inside was doughy. Should have a thin wrap and quickly pan fried. Instead, it was like a bad wonton. Also ordered chicken mei fun. New to Rockford area and looking for good Chinese food. Lung Fung 2 didn't exactly hit the mark. We ordered... BBQ pork fried rice. Positive No carrots and peas and other things that don't belong in fried rice. Negative Wayyyyyy too salty. Beef and broccoli. Positive Decent flavor. Finally a good Chinese restaurant in Rockford! We enjoyed absolutely everything I had brought home. The shrimp egg foo young is so good - crisply edges, lots of shrimp, and yummy gravy! Went in for dinner at 6:45 and was turned away because they were closed. Closed because they were slow she said. Meanwhile, other people were there eating? The sign on the door said open until 9 and we watched three other couples come in and get turned away as well. We've never been there before but will not go back. Hands down the best egg rolls I've ever had! My husband and I drive 35 minutes to Lung Fung 2 when we crave Chinese food! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is consistently delicious every time! We have dined in and carried out. Great experiences every time. I'm surprised by the 2 star rating on yelp. This is the best chinese good I've had here in rockford so far. I had the chicken chow fun and Singapore noodles. Both were really good. Just as good as the dishes I've had in " real" Chinese places. The chow fun had the wok hei that makes the noodles distinctive. I heard a woman in the restaurant complaining that the sweet and sour chicken wasn't good and it was for Americanized palates and she wouldn't be back. Well, why would you eat that if you were hoping for authentic chinese? Very odd. And rude, too. I placed an order online and selected to pay for it CiP or Credit in Place. The restaurant called me and my phone treated it as a sales call and did not ring. After the time for delivery had passed I called the place was was told that my order had been canceled because they did not have my credit card information. If I wanted to placed the order again I would have to wait another hour and a half for delivery. If they want to accept credit cards then update your system. Their web site seriously needs to be updated especially if they want more delivery orders. Plus they doubled the delivery fee recently. $5 is not much but appears to gouge the customer to make more money. read more

I've ate at Lung Fung 2 several times over the years. The food has typically been consistent. I didn't go there for about a year until 12/9/19 evening. I had their 'combination kow'. It's supposed to be beef, chicken, shrimp, and Chinese vegetables. The dish was loaded with burnt sesame seeds and that was basically all that I could taste. The smell was equally as bad. I have been to Lung Fung 2 many many times but tonight stood out as the best. It's snowing this evening and the roads aren't the best. When i called for delivery, i expected a longer wait time. The woman taking the orders told me over an hour due to the higher than normal amount of deliveries and the road conditions, which was no problem. During my ordering, you could tell that the woman taking the call was overly busy. Even still, my order was read back to me accurately. She was kind and stated she didn't know exactly when my food would get here, but it would be over an hour. Almost one hour to the minute, my food arrives. Not only is everything there - it was all hot. The delivery driver was nice as well, despite having to drive in this awful weather. The food was even better than it usually is. Not too salty or too oily. I have had trouble finding good Chinese food since moving to the area around 2 years ago, but i think i just found my place. To summarize, I'm giving Lung Fung 2 (Perryville) 5 stars for great customer service, incredibly prompt delivery of my hot food and the tasty dishes i enjoyed on this snowy night in. read more
