She was amazing she had a pep in her step and was friendly, kind, and helpful!!!! we got the fish and chips and the Reuben sandwich - food was great and plentiful and enough to take some home July 7th - went there to try breakfast since previously everything was great - unfortunately the inside so we decided since the outside wasn't that busy it would be OK - BAD CHOICE!!! Plenty of seats at the bar - unfortunately NO wait staff available??? One bartender came out looked directly at us - no acknowledgment no nothing - so we waited approximately eight minutes - no one acknowledged us - no one said I'll be with you in a minute - nothing - so we went elsewhere read more

Newer to the area I've always heard Lures was that local joint you gotta try. Daughter had the day off from school so I took her on a gorgeous sunny day. We sat outside in back under an umbrella. I had an iced tea and a mahi crap. It was awesome. Perhaps a bit pricey at $17 (but what place isn't these days, seriously). My daughter had a chicken wrap at $11 which was good but not mahi wrap great. Two lunches, two drinks was about $41 with tip. Next time I will go with the wife and belly up to the bar. read more

We stopped here as we were driving thru the area after an attempted fishing day at the beach. I saw the reviews on YELP and asked a young lady at the bait shop where she goes in the area. Lures was the first place she mentioned so we decided to check it out. There was a filled outdoor bar, a few filled outdoor tables and some people at the indoor bar - it was Happy Hour! Lucky for us the atmosphere was rustic as it was located across from the water and in front of the river and we were dressed in shorts and T-shirts. A few motorcycles pulled up and there was a large parking area for several restaurants close by. We sat indoors and were promptly greeted and served. It was a simple menu..they also had a small happy hour menu with $4 and $6 items. Some of the prices on the main menu seemed a bit high but we saw some dishes come out and they were plentiful. The Philly cheesesteak caught my attention with homemade chips. My friend ordered the fish (Haddock) & chips (fries) . Two nice size pieces of fish in a crunchy batter! It was really good. I enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak, could only eat half. It came with choice of any or all grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños, hot cherry peppers at no xtra charge. Unfortunately, i was hungry and ate quickly, forgetting to take pictures of our meals! I hope you can visualize these really good choices. Bleh. Food is gahhhbage. Had fish fry recently which someone told me was good, FAIL. A few soggy & pathetic pieces of fish (medium sized and ZERO flavor). Not impressed at all. Gf shared her fish tacos with me and they were mostly red and green peppers (no not those fish tacos) and a spicy aioli type sauce (where's the fish?). Picked up ToGo food once as well and it was their Mahi dinner. When I opened it at home I laughed audibly. I was greeted by the smallest and most bland looking and sad piece of fish I had ever seen. As others have stated, this is a locals drinking spot. The interior of the restaurant is small. The place is def centered around their outdoor space. The bar itself isn't big and it's usually pretty busy so prepare to stand on the sidewalk and wait awhile for a drink. Pretty sure the local drinkers keep this place afloat. This was my first time here and I loved it. The atmosphere inside is relaxed and anything goes kind of vibe. We were a party of four and tried many different items. The Blosdy Mary is amazing. We're talking olives bacon and green beans. A house speciality. We ordered the burger that was juicy and delicious in flavor. We also ordered the Philly chew steak that was full of toppings and a hearty portion. We also ordered the blackened chicken wrap which was basic but still good. The fries have a coating on them and are the best fries I have ever had. The key lime pie was so delicious that I regretted not getting more. The slice of key lime was not big but left an imprint. I can't wait to go back and try more of their items. Our waitress Sammie was very attentive and very nice. We also had an amazing "bus boy" who was extremely attentive. read more

I've lived in Jensen Beach for quite a while now and pass Lure's whenever I go home from Publix to the island. Somehow, it never "lured" me in (I know, corny) as I looked at the people outside sitting at the bar drinking. Seemed to me to be a biker bar, not a place that looked appealing to me. I had heard through a few friends to put aside my quick judgment and go sit inside and eat the very good food. And I did. I was so pleasantly surprised and happy! This may become my new neighborhood restaurant, as it's pretty close to the island, right over the bridge. I assumed it would be a dive bar inside, but it wasn't. A few TVs, a bar, and booths and tables make up the joint (that's what it is...a joint!). Casual and comfortable, not too noisy when I was there, and very good food. I had the fried shrimp...many, many shrimp with fries. Better than most places around here. However, the fried shrimp appetizer is the better way to go. No fries, but who needs to pay $8 extra for fries and coleslaw? The mussels my friend had were nice size and the sauce was great for dipping. Another had the NY strip which was a bargain for $22. It looked great, and he said it was (that will be my next choice). I'm usually leery of places that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, I have heard from a few people that the breakfast is not to be missed. I will try that soon and come back here to post a review of that. read more

Pretty nice place both inside and out. I know some people have commented on smell. I experienced no such smells. The place looked very clean even though it was very busy. The tables were cleaned and prepped for the next customers very quickly. The country Benedict was perfect. The eggs cooked exactly as asked. The sausage patties were the best I have had as yet. The sausage gravy was perfectly flavored and seemed totally fresh(not canned). The portion was very filling. Would without a doubt order again. The breakfast platter was a nice size also and the eggs were cooked again exactly as asked. I know some people say it's just eggs but how many times are they not cooked as requested. Lures kitchen staff hit it right on the head. The coffee was also very good, hot and fresh. The waitress was fast and very nice and patient being as busy as it was . I would definitely recommend for breakfast. Going to come back for lunch or dinner to give that a try. read more

Out of town folk half of us just moved the other half came to help with the move. Found this place by accident from the silky folks outside on the patio bar. Being from AZ we love it when we can sit outside in beautiful weather so we stopped. So so glad we did! Chelsea (sorry if it's spelled wrong) was the best waitress of recent memory recommending little additions to items that made it even better in her opinion very attentive and was beyond amazing when we got a little loud after the Rum Runners started kicking in. I'm sure my family that now lives there will be back as it's in such a cool location and when we return we will be back as well. Thanks for a great experience with great food and awesome Floridian hospitality. read more

It has been an hour since I ate here and I'm still stuffed! The portions are pretty hefty, so don't bother snacking before you visit or you'll definitely be taking food home with you. The fish and chips are recommended if you're looking for a hearty meal, but the wraps are excellent also if you want something lighter. The inside is fairly large, but if it's a nice night you can venture outside, which is great for a larger group. The only drawback to outside, depending on the time of day, is the bar down the street blasting music and the occasional person who still smokes outside. I'm accustom to places being smoke free, but it's allowed outside so sit inside if that's an issue. Our waitresses and other staff were great. We waited 10 minutes tops for our food and you could tell it came right out of the fryer. I had to let mine cool for a few minutes before I could even attempt to eat any of the food. The fish was great and there was easily enough for another meal if I was inclined to save any for later. The fries were good, but not seasoned like I was thinking they were, but no big loss. Drinks were great too! Can't beat a 3pm -7pm happy hour, especially on a nice day. It's highly recommended if you're in the area. read more

Great for the right crowd but not for me. Outdoor bar near town (no water view) which looked busy & fun. Crowd all Bud Light drinking, chain smokers mostly wasted at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I know this sounds snobby but I do love super casual places like this and I like to be with locals but am not used to choking on cigarette smoke the entire time I'm having lunch (EVERYONE seemed to be smoking) Had spinach salad which was pretty good until I found a dead fly in it (server just shrugged) husband had shrimp tacos (which were really wraps), said they were okay. I was craving seafood (as you should in any beach area), so we looked at reviews and stopped here. They have an outdoor bar area with a nice breeze, so we sat outside. I ordered the breakfast tacos, but instead of the proteins they offered, I asked if I could have the blackened shrimp since it's an option for the regular tacos. Although one of the servers gave a look of "ewww" when our server asked how to ring it up (which didn't actually make sense but whatever, right?! We were on vacation anyway....), they were absolutely delicious. Accompanied by perfectly cooked home fries and a delicious remoulade type sauce, the meal was perfect. Going to be honest, looking at Lure's you'd think It was just a regular bar with typical bar food. But, my goodness, don't you DARE judge a book by its cover in this situation. The food was spectacular! We started off with the teriyaki wings. Those were some of the best wings I've ever had in my life. So crunchy, full of flavor, and the meat was so tender! My husband got a cheese burger, It was cooked to PERFECTION. The perfect amount of pink (he ordered rare and It was perfectly rare!) It was so juicy and flavorful. I got the blackened mahi mahi tacos - OUT OF THIS WORLD. The flavor was amazing! The staff was also so nice and attentive! I can't wait to visit again so I can try out more food. read more

Great food in a casual setting. On the weekend there were lots of locals, bikers and car enthusiasts enjoying a meal and cold beverages. The food and service were good. They have an interesting menu. We tried the clam flatbread and fish Reuben. My husband rated the Reuben as one of the best he's eaten. The clam flatbread was very cheesy with loads of clams.
