It truly saddens me to drop this place from 5 stars to 3 stars - meaning they are just average like everybody else these days. They seemed to intentionally have driven out what made them special. Lures had the best biscuits and gravy in Martin County, but lately it feels like pulling teeth to get them to give you a decent portion. And they now charge you for a little bit extra when they don't give you enough to begin with. If you get eggs on your biscuits you may as well order one biscuit or pay up from for the extra, because you won't even get close to enough gravy. Same for their ranch - although it is absolutely incredible, now you are paying for every little cup of it. The cheap beers were nice too, but even they seem to be more expensive these days too. Little stuff like this has driven us away from our 3 times per week trips to Lure to now maybe once a month. With competitors like Thirsty Turtle near by, they have chosen to up their prices and lower their portions and nickel and dime you instead of making an effort to keep loyal customers. Strange choice. But hey it's their business, just sharing my review. read more

They have great customer service and our meals have been fantastic. Not one time did we have a complaint about their food. Checked Lures out as it was recommend We are here for the winter and so far have been there twice. I thought I should write a review about our experiences. I wanted to try the mussels but unfortunately they were sold out. It was a Sunday so I understand after a busy weekend. I will be back to try those ;) Our server was pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I like the way all the employees appear to work together!! Ok let me get to the food- The wings were some of the best I have had! Nice size, great flavor and meaty. The spinach and strawberry salad was delicious. I added shrimp and it was perfect. Frozen Rum Runner with Rum floater was tasty!! It is sweet so if you don't like sweet opt for another cocktail. Our server recommended trying breakfast sometime. We opted for Tuesday. It did not disappoint. It was our servers second day and we enjoyed her service. Again, we saw the staff working together to ensure customers needs were met. The homemade corned beef hash was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The Eggs Benedict was tasty although the poached eggs were over cooked I still enjoyed the yummy flavor of the sauce. Mimosa was spot on. Looking forward to visiting again soon! read more

For sure, would definitely recommend! The meals are fresh and the kettle chips are good, but I would definitely recommend the french fries. They have some no high, fruittose, corn syrup, ketchup at each table, which was a plus. I really love the good IPA from salt water brewery. Most of the menu items were $12-$15 each and they all come with kettle chips unless you want to substitute for fries for a dollar. they had a few good drafts on top and the parking was pretty easy on a Tuesday. Atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be back. I would suggest the Jamaican jerk or blackened. Both my kids said the chicken was a little tough, so maybe something else on the menu but again, I would still give it a 5 out if five. read more

This was a nice restaurant. It's not actually on the riverfront though. Mostly bar seats both inside and out. Very small dining area. But the staff was great and the food was good. One of the few places in the area I believe that serves breakfast as well. Not a bad option. read more

First time here and it is during a worldwide pandemic so perhaps I'm not getting the best experience. I had a couple drinks and then ordered one to take home. The bartender obviously saw me 3x because it wasn't very busy. I ordered a drink that cost about $7 and left a $2 tip each time which I would say is probably above average. I got zero friendliness like 'hey- how's the drinks?' Or hey 'how's it going?' And decided in the last drink to go that I'd only leave $1 tip based on this. Based on my experience the bartenders lack in hospitality - so if that's what you need go elsewhere- like Crawdaddy's. How is it possible that people in this industry don't get that a virtual hug across the counter equates to higher tips. My last tip was $1 and could've been $2 if you just would've been a bit engaging and nice??? Skip this place if you're looking for a little interaction. read more

The Outside bar is wonderful especially if you can get a seat. Since it was raining, we sat inside. They gave us a breakfast menu but at mid-morning we asked for the lunch menu. So glad we did. After ordering spicy Bloody Mary's we ordered the Florida Gulf Shrimp Appetizer. Certainly enough to share and it was great. Jenny was our server and did a fantastic job. The first time I came to Lures was not on purpose! It started to rain really hard and my husband and I were walking and it was the closest restaurant to duck into! I gave him a dirty look because I was looking for ambience and I was even snotty to the bar tender who could not have been more nice and accomodating! I am SO thankful for that rain, otherwise it may have taken a lot longer to discover one of my favorite establishments in Jensen Beach! When we are in town it is now one of our go to places! We almost always get the blackened Mahi dinner which is always fresh and delicious! We get the vegetables and a side of remoulade with it and they are always excellent as well! My nieces boyfriend ordered a strip steak and really enjoyed it! For lunch I get the strawberry Salad with a piece of grilled fish on the side! Always fresh and excellent and huge portions for the price! They take the effort to make the salad so pretty that I almost always take a picture! The first time I got breakfast I was walking around looking for a coffee shop and breakfast sandwiches and a group of older gentlemen who were sitting outside at the bar called me over and told me this was the best place to get breakfast sandwiches and boy were they right! My husband loved his and I got the BLT with the jalepeno bacon and it was awesome! (I've had it a few more times since....) Also, the best happy hour prices and huge pours of wine! House wines are only 3.50 (last year they were 3$) Drafts are $2.50 (used to be 2 bucks).. Needless to say we go here often when we are in town which is a lot now that we bought a home in the area! We are fairly new to Stuart and we had local friends recommend Lures. We have been here several times, dining outside, inside and have also done takeout. The food and service is always great! Some of our favorites include the tacos, the blt with jalapeño bacon, the Buffalo chicken wrap and their mussels to name a few. Their jerk chicken wings are so crispy and also a fave! Lures also has the best sautéed spinach with garlic as a side, I get it every time!! We did breakfast for the first time and we were equally impressed, loved the omelets and the corned beef hash, not from a can! Hands down THE best steak and egg breakfast we've ever had!! It was nicely cooked, a nice size, and a nice cut. Will absolutely be back whenever we're in town. Also had a late lunch here - husband had fish & chips, he loved it! I had the Rueben; it was huge and very good. The only criticism on this, is that the bottom slice of bread was very soggy so, I didn't eat that but, it wasn't missed. Everything here is a great value and nice portion sizes. The service is also very good. The reason we didn't give a 5-star is because even though most everything was amazing, the grits were HORRIBLE! Please stop making them with half-and-half!!! I know there are claims and recipes out there about people in the south making grits with milk or cream... I was born and raised in the south and have NEVER in my life made them this way or had them made that way until here. We decided to try Lure's for the first time today. It was excellent! One of the best parts of our experience was right after we sat down at the table, we were immediately greeted, asked for our drink order and given a menu!!! WHAT?!?!? Yes, it's true. It can happen in a South Florida restaurant. We ordered rum runners and they were excellent! For lunch we got the hot wings app, Reuben sandwich and spinach salad with mahi. All delicious. We both took half of our meal home because the portions are generous. We dined outside. They also have inside dining and the AC was kickin'!!! We had a fabulous experience at Lures today. It is kind of a local hangout with great food and service. Loved the friendly and relaxed vibe. We had the fish chunk appetizer which was very tasty with their spicy sauce. The blackened shrimp tacos and the blackened mahi sandwich were exceptional and the price was very reasonable. The cole slaw was fair and we would do kettle chips instead next time. There was a very active outside bar area and an area outside with many picnic tables. We will likely go back again this week. read more
