If he's not busy he can knock out an oil change in 20 mins, if he's busy he'll let you know when to come back and take care of you then. I called around a couple of places and they quoted me $75 for a synthetic oil change. David quoted me $65 so I decided to take my car in. He was done with my car in about 20 minutes. When I came back to pick up my car, he told me the cost ended up being around $50 instead of $65. I appreciated his honesty because you won't find a lot of honest businesses out there. Ladies let's be honest we get taken advantage of at these auto repair shops. I took my car to Pep-boys they said they'd have to run a diagnostic. They kept it for an entire day then tried to say they couldn't perform the diagnostic because my battery was completely dead; and that I should purchase a NEW one from them first before they could run a diagnostic. Something didn't seem right so I had to towed here. David immediately diagnosed the problem as my fuel pump. I was so upset because I knew something was rapacious about Pep-boys. It's hard to find a good honest mechanic. I will definitely be coming here again and recommending my friends. read more

Realized last minute I need a oil change. Was able to get in and out quickly on a Friday evening. They were nice and affordable.

I had been taking my cars to David for a few years. Thought everything was fine as he did good work at a fair price. My a/c was not working properly one day so I took my car to a shop that replaced the freon about 10 years prior. Sometime during those 10 years, David replaced the compressor. What I was told by the other shop was that whoever last worked on my a/c (which was David), replaced the R-134a freon with R-1234yf. David did this not only without my permission or consent but AGAINST my wishes. We had a conversation about it and I told him I absolutely did NOT want the R-1234yf freon as it does not work as efficiently and can cause problems later. David's sneaky, dishonest work would cost me roughly $1500 to restore my car back to its original condition. The mechanic who I once thought was a good, honest guy has turned out to be a dishonest snake in the grass. Let the buyer beware. read more

Updated review: I didn't realize the owner responded. My BMW is an M3...and I was parked in your parking lot you could have just walked up to the vehicle...why do I need to tell you what kind of car I have? It was also within your visual purview as you had clear line of sight to the car ....and it's a freaking M3. Any self respecting car guy, let alone a mechanic, knows what an M3 looks like. I'm glad I didn't get serviced here as my M3 takes Castrol TSW oil, not FRAM (as you suggested in your reply here), so he would have put the wrong oil in if I didn't bring my own (which I know better than to not do). Again seriously who doesn't know what an M3 is if you work on cars? I never get serviced at BMW so not sure what me not telling you what kind of car I have has anything to do with pricing. I've always gone to a good independent shop but the one I used to use closed shop so at the time I was sourcing a new mechanic. Again, you were free to walk closer to the car if you couldn't tell what kind of car I had. The good thing to come out of this experience is that I ended up finding a really great mechanic that I use all the time now. Lu is simply an honest man and really does want to help. He doesn't try to upsell or tell you to get something that you don't need. If you do need work to be done on your car, he'll explain it to you. My fiancé and I first went into his shop after seeing some reviews online. We needed to replace the lower control arm on her car so we took it to Lu's. We had already bought the part so we just needed a mechanic to replace it. Lu's prices were affordable compared to most and he completed the work quickly. We called ahead to schedule an appointment, so that also saved us time. Compared to a lot of mechanics that I've been to, Lu is among the most honest and knowledgeable and you'll see why. We also recently went for an oil change. Again, it was fast and simple. I really really REALLY appreciate David! When you meet David you will see how dedicated he is to providing his customers with the greatest service possible at the best prices. He is very honest and realistic with what you actually need to get done. David is efficient, diligent, helpful, and kind. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful David is! I brought my car to David twice within the same week. The first time was because I needed to change the spark plugs and clean the throttle. Prior to David's help, my car would rattle like crazy whenever it was at a stop. When I picked up my car from him, he provided some additional recommended fixes - replacement of the hydro pump and a new axle. He took the time to explain his reasoning for those suggestions and allowed me to decide. Since I valued David's honesty so much, I came back the following day. David showed me the old hydro pump and it was in pretty bad condition. It had eroded so much that there was a leak. Now whenever I reverse out of a space, I do not hear any creaking noises.
