One of the best nail salons I've been to in recent years. It's clean and bright inside. Good selection of OPI colors too.

The salon is clean and modern. It's hard to relax while having a pedicure done, because the staff is so loud. Most of the time ,they are talking to each other.On occasion, the staff sit in the pedicure recliners on their phones with their shoes off loudly taking to their coworkers. The staff needs to be more mindful of their loud conversations for the clients who choose to want to chill with a pedicure. read more

Nicely remodeled under new owners with plenty of employees, so no wait on a walk in. I just had a "no chip" manicure which was nicely done. But I was concerned to see my manicurist just reach into his drawer for tools which were not wrapped. Were they sterile? I didn't know, but took a chance. read more

I had an appt at 11am, didn't sit until about 11:30. This place is my backup which im usually satisfied with, but today was a no. The lady kept pulling my hands as if she was annoyed doing them. I liked the color a lot but I am not impressed with the polish job for 46$ just for no chip fill in is crazy. read more

I will follow a great nail technician to the ends of the earth for a great job. Jenny recently moved to Lu's Nails in Palos Heights...and I followed her there. Jenny has been doing my nails for a number of years now and I expect that to continue indefinitely. Jenny's work is immaculate in that she pays attention to detail. Never gets upset when I ruin the nail color on a "not yet dry" manicure because I moved too soon, etc. Always willing to redo. Jenny works methodically and patiently. Let's call her my Nail Superhero!! Because I can only personally speak of my experience with Jenny let me state that you can't go wrong with Jenny as a first try for your nail services. However, although I have only "observed" other technicians at Lu's as they worked, without fail all appear to be very attentive to their work, very focused on customer comfort, and very competent in the aesthetic of their craft. The salon itself is beautiful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. During a recent Saturday morning appointment, I witnessed a few of the employees wiping down the cabinet doors, etc. The pride in keeping the place clean is certainly evident...and most appreciated. NOTE: In the past I have been immediately turned off by lack of cleanliness of a salon and turned around and walked out! NOT SO @ Lu's Nails. The place is clean...each time I've gone. Cleanliness really does matter. There is even the offer of bottled water!! Seems like such a small thing but it matters on a hot day [or even a not so hot day]. Try it! I think you'll love it. Decided to make a last minute appt here for a Milk and Honey Pedicure with no chip polish while my son was doing a College visit and actually found this jem on Yelp. I used their website to book a 1030am appointment which was very clear and simple. As soon as I entered the establishment at 1015am, I was greeted by the friendly front desk girl who was super welcoming. She checked me in and I was seated in the pedi chair within 2 mins. As I sat down in the pedi chair, Jenny who was servicing me handed me a towel for my lap since I had shorter shorts on. That was Top Tier in my eyes. Jenny was sweet, attentive, and very thorough with my pedi. She made sure I was comfortable and took her time with my pedi. The ambience of the spa was beautiful and the pedi chairs looked new and were very comfortable. The music that was being played was a great vibe. I was also offered water/refreshments during my service. I'm so sad that I'm not from this area bc I would def make this my regular salon. No nasty attitudes in this establishment and everyone seemed very friendly. This was a great overall experience and would recommend this Spa to anyone looking for a top tier experience! read more

First of all I wanted to find a nail shop close to home that had great reviews so I decided to take chance. I was able to secure an appointment quick on their website on Saturday morning before the shop opened. I received a call from Michaela letting me know that the appointment I had scheduled needed to be changed because I had selected a nail tech that didn't do the service I had selected and also the shop closes at 5:00 and I had selected an appointment for 4:30 for a full set manicure and pedicure. I truly appreciate the call and contact to ensure I was able to get the service I desired. I tried calling the number but got the voicemail but decided to text the number that called and Michaela was just as sweet and accommodating on text as she was on the voicemail she left me about rescheduling. She was able to secure me an appointment at 2:30 and I came in and was taken immediately. The shop was full of people both young and old getting pedicures and manicures. Literally I seen boys, girls and even men getting their feet pedicured with their favorite colors of choice. All the nail techs seemed engaged and hard working. The vibe in the shop seemed very happy and easy going. I was given a pedicure first which was very good! What impressed me the most with my technician Micheal was that he went above and beyond to ensure that my pedicure looked great. I had a nail that had cracked prior to coming to get my pedicure and I hadn't thought anything of it. But right away Michael noticed that if he didn't fix that it would affect the overall look of my French manicure. I was shocked to see him pull out an acrylic powder and start building a nail for my toe nail that was broken!! Michael's quick creativity and care for customer service and satisfaction really showed through! I was thoroughly impressed and excited that the nail shop I had chosen to take a chance on had come through! I then was lead over to Lee to get my Gel X nails for my manicure. This was my first time trying out this new service that was supposed to be ready. I had the best time laughing and joking with Lee as he proceeded to complete my nails. Overall I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of my nails both hands and feet. I paid my bill left a tip for both my techs and left happy. My happiness soon changed as I left the shop and my nails started popping off like popcorn!! What in the world is happening here?? Why would my nails be popping off just hours after being done??? This was a Saturday afternoon appointment by Sunday morning at 8:30 am all of my nails had come off!! I reached out via text to the shop as I wanted to get a quick resolution to this issue!! I wasn't expecting a response back as I knew the shop was closed on Sunday but I wanted to make them aware of the issue so I could get it resolved as quickly as possible on Monday. Surprisingly on Sunday night I got a message apologizing for the issue and letting me know I could come in on Monday to get my nails redone. 2nd time a charm!! I was able to come in on Monday after work and Lena was able to expertly apply a full set of acrylic nails for me! She took her time and thoroughly and masterfully manicured each nail and applied white French tip seamlessly! In summary I will be going back! One because of Michaela and her customer service! Not only was she sweet and accommodating over the phone and text, but in person she worked methodically to ensure that everyone was being accommodated for their services all from behind the desk. She would ensure those waiting for service that it would just be a few minutes. I heard her make calls letting people know that their nail techs were running a little behind. It was so great to see her attention to detail and care for a customers and their time. Secondly I will be coming back because of Michael and Lena and their exceptional work ethic and creativity for pedicures and manicures respectively. Lastly I will be back because of their being able to right a wrong! I was able to get a full set free of charge due to the issue I faced initially and I am grateful for that. read more

Excellent new nail salon. Lu the owner is very nice The salon before Lu's was dirty and once was enough. I never went back. When I heard it was new owners I thought I would try. So happy I did. Lu did a total make over. It is clean and bright. I had the best pedicure I have ever had. My eyebrows got waxed and look great! It has been 2 weeks and my feet are still soft. When I got pedicures through many year's I would have rough feet by nighttime. I definitely found a salon I will be going to. Happy it is right in Palos Heights. It is in the strip mall behind Starbucks on College Dr and Harlem. read more
