TD'S Nail Salon is hands down the very best nail salon I've gone to in a long time! Tina and Dong and their staff care about customer service. I witnessed this firsthand when I walked in the salon this morning! I wanted a pedicure and fill in and I was accommodated immediately. I was greeted with a smile and Jenny started in on my pedicure! Jenny was thorough and nice. She showed me the scan to get a free beverage while I enjoyed my chair massage and pedicure. It was amazing to see such special touches Tina and Dong has in place for their customers. Jenny did a superb job on my feet and they were as soft as a baby's bottom. All while doing my pedi she checked in to see if I was ok and if I like the nails. She took her time which I appreciated. As soon as I was done with my pedi I was whisked over to the manicure seat to get my French manicure. To my surprise Tina the owner was the manicurist! I knew immediately that she was the owner because she had on a name tag, which I love ! This is another special touch that Tina and Dong provide that sets them apart from the other local nail shops. I truly appreciate knowing the person who's completing the services for me! Tina was so humble, down to earth and kind ! I asked her if she was the owner and she shyly said yes, how did you know? The branding : name tags, tshirts and aprons the employees and owners wear really brings in the brand of TD's nail salon. Conversation with Tina was so nice and it was as if we were old friends and I had just met her for the first time today. Tina quickly and thoroughly completed my manicure to perfection! All while giving me advice on a new liquid nail service her salon provides that will not only help my natural nail but will ensure that the nail that I get next time will not be as thick ( I had gotten my nails done at another shop not to be mentioned and the powder that was put on was very thick), even with this issue, Tina was able to seamlessly fill in my nail as if she had completed the nail manicure originally! I came in to TD's Nail Salon today as a treat for Mothers Day weekend from my husband and kids and I found this place one because they were open early on Saturday 9:30 which was earlier than any other nail shop in the area, and two because of the great reviews I read on Yelp! I will be coming back and telling everyone I know about this gem of a place because of the excellent customer service, the superior quality of work and the economical pricing they provide as well as the serene atmosphere they provide in their building. This nail shop has only been open for a week but I can already tell with the quality of work they are delivering they will be successful for years to come! I had high hopes for this establishment, it was recommended to me by a relative. It was my first time here and I didn't have any issues besides when I ask if they had a different color for the pink that they use for the French tip pedicure service, he looked upset when I asked but honestly I don't even care about the color at that point it was the uncomfortable feeling I had just for asking. It's shouldn't be a problem if it's something I'm going to have to wear on my feet for the next several weeks and I'm paying for the service but I didn't make it a big deal. I also asked if there was a free drink with service since the women next to me received one. At that point I was almost done with my service so I just didn't even bother asking them to bring me anything. I wasn't aware you're supposed to scan a QR code. I guess I would just say it would be nice if someone lets the customers know when they are seated. The place is big and beautiful but unfortunately I'm all about how they service you, I don't think I would come back. read more

WOW - First time here and I will be for sure going back. This place is amazing. Super clean, super friendly and gorgeous. Was a walk-in and did not have to wait at all. Place was busy, but there is alot of staff available to take care of you. Parking in the back is easy and convenient and secure. Got the Charcoal Deluxe Spa Pedicure and I have never had such an amazing pedicure ever. Wish I had the time and the money because I would be going back once a week it was that good! I was looking for a new nail salon for my little and I to go to since traveling downtown to do our nails became quite a nuisance and we stumbled upon this place once before and had a pretty good experience but this time, it was not great and honestly, I am going to look for a new place which is unfortunate because I get my nails done once a month and I'm willing to drive and pay whatever if the place is good. The reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because Andy, who did MY nails, was great. I don't know who did my daughter's nails, but I believe it was one of the managers or even the owner but the experience my daughter had was quite poor. I understand that she had moved around a couple of times and i always tell her to make sure she sits as still as she can but she did move a few times, one for an itch on her leg, once because her feet tickled and the other time it was to turn her IPad off (which ok I get it - that's probably annoying to them and that's why I told her to just put it on the floor) and maybe a little jerk here and there but the guy was very aggressive with her and very rude. He kept sighing at her, he would roll his eyes and he kept saying "quit moving!" In a very rude tone and even threatened to take her IPad from her, which is so unprofessional. Again, I understand both sides but she really wasn't that bad and I'm sorry but if 9 year old children annoy you, find someone else to do their nails. I've taken my daughter to our old location and actually one more place the last two years and nobody has ever been this rude to her or that irritated, nobody. I'm very disappointed and she was highly upset at this interaction that I went to complain but I saw him rush around the corner and she started to get upset and didn't want any confrontation, so we left. This ruined her entire experience and I'm not happy. Again, if you don't have patience to do children's nails, then find someone else to do it if you can't control yourself and your tone. I have been going here since they opened. My daughter and I both got our nails done, no chip gel polish. My daughter's nails lasted a couple days before the polish started coming off. My friend took her to get it fixed and got attitude from the owner and waited a long to get the nails redone only for them to last a couple day again. My nails only last a week, the polish came off cleanly on it's own. I am not sure if they are thinning out the polish but very disappointed and will not be back. Gel manicures are too expensive not to last for at least a couple of weeks. read more

I really want to like this place and as it relates to environment, cleanliness, customer service intention they are headed in the right direction. However execution especially based on pricing simply doesn't match. This was my 3rd visit, the first couple times I had gotten a fill in from another salon and basic pedi. This visit I got a UV gel set with tips and one of the luxury pedicures (charcoal heel recovery). My pedicure water was much cooler than I prefer, the hot towels were not hot, the tech barely used the pumice pad on my heals and another tech kept interrupting him during my service . Manicure, I was left with dry and dead cuticles after, I asked for almond shape , yet most nails are not centered, the thickness of each nail is also different, and I only wanted one coat of OPI Bubble Bath and he said there was no way to get the streaks out, and my gel polish is way too close to the cuticle which causes it to lift. So I will be reshaping my nails, cleaning up my cuticles, pumice scrubbing my heals after spending $165 + $25tip. (Btw that's how much an 80 min massage and 40 min facial cost me at a Lincoln Park spa), even though $165 is quite expensive for nail services my issue is at that price my service should be absolute PERFECTION, nothing less than perfection should be the standard. Also, I had no existing polish or nails to be removed. My tech was Vincent. This review is not to bash but really help them match execution to the price request. Those prices require meticulous well trained techs. I will add pics after I reshape so you all can see the difference. read more

The nail tech rushed the pedicure I requested. Kept asking if I wanted to upgrade my service but the service I requested wasn't being met. He was so invested in a conversation with his coworkers and it was hard for him to hear my concerns. I had to address basic pedicures issues and he would tell me I don't need it. If you request a service it should be met. When I was done didn't assist me to the drying station and request payment prior to service being done. Will not be coming here again. They rush through the service and don't acknowledge customer concerns. read more

I've been to this place four times and not impressed. Multiple times while being serviced between me and my friend we would bring up concerns, however, things would be said that we did not understand. And asked the technicians again and again to answer the concern however, everyone would be skittish doing so. After three strikeouts with simple asks by Suya, Tracy, and Tina, not being executed by multiple technicians, I decided to remove my UV gel (they call this hard gel and it's not - way to lie to customers!). If you ask for hard gel they will give you this, beware. Kevin for pedicures is great! Today, I was serviced by Tony, who I specifically asked for a soak off of the UV gel but he decided to drill it off instead. I told him the pain he was causing multiple times and he said to me, "please don't slap me". I was charged $25 for a soak that never happened and also no chip removal on my toes. Can you charge customer $15 for a service they never received? Multiple times I told him these are my real nails and to soak it off and he kept saying okay. I thought about saying something to Tina, but then decided it wasn't worth my time. Churning out customer after customer with no focus on quality is a poor and shameful. I will not be back to this establishment. I'm owned a refund and I hope this feedback is considered going forward. read more

The salon looked very nice and clean. The staff is very attentive and they offer complimentary drinks. However, my nails did not come out well. My toenails are misshapen and painted crooked. The polish does not go down all the way to the bottom on every toe so it all looks like it's on an angle. I got a no chip on my nails and she either did not let them cure long enough or did not use a top coat because they feel gummy, are lumpy, and have bubbles. I just left the salon and there is fuzz and things stuck to them and they do not look like they should for $108. read more

I started going to TD's Nail Salon about 2 months ago. When I walked in I was impressed by the design of the salon and was warmly greeted and offered something to drink while I waited. I have now been there 4 times and have seen the service has declined each time which was very disappointing. Last weekend I brought my nieces to get their nails done and I had mine done as well. My tech filed the heck out of my nails, even after commenting how weak they are. I told him multiple times about them being fragile but he seemed to ignore it and kept filing. When I pointed out a part of the nail he missed the polish, he filed the nail until that white part was gone. My fingers were so sore after. My one niece had Vivian and she was amazing! She made her feel very special and did a great job on her nails! My other niece had Ken who unfortunately did not have as positive of an experience. My niece was so very excited to get her nails done and Ken seemed aggravated and did not speak very nicely to her. He even cut her cuticle, causing her to bleed, and did not acknowledge her with an apology or asking if she was okay. She kept looking at me and all I could say was I was sorry. This wasn't the fun experience I thought she would have at TD. We also were never offered anything to drink, I had to order it myself and ask my nieces if they wanted anything. Definitely a different experience than my first visit. I know when a place is new, they bring out all of the tricks, but I hope TD goes back to the great customer service I experienced my first visit. Next time I am going to request Vivian and I hope I don't walk out of there in pain like last weekend. read more

First time here and definitely the last!! Went for a pedicure, I called before hand to check and they told me come in 45min. So I did just to wait 35minutes in their lobby, and then they put me at a pedi chair soaking my feet for another 10minutes! Then when Kayla finally started my pedicure she was clearly in a rush! Terrible pedicure!! Massage was awful, my nails were all filed uneven and she barely did my heals which is what the pedicure I picked was specified for! I didn't even have her polish my toes because I was that fed up and done!!! The pedicure literally took 25minutes! Which means I waited longer than the actual pedicure took! Maybe a wasn't spending enough there or something because everyone else around was getting plenty of time and not rushing on their services! This place clearly cares about volume of clients and not quality! I will never come back here and will definitely warn people!! Oh and they have this QR code to scan if you want a complimentary beverage, so as I see people getting smoothies & coffee I decided to order a sparkling water from a can and never even recieved it, maybe if I was there for 3+ hours and spend more I maybe could have got a water but oh well because this place is a JOKE!!! read more
