Loved that we took our puppy here to Liza first because their groomer Larissa was so sweet and attentive. She did a great job keeping Tinkerbell calm especially since it was her first time at the groomer and had to get cut for the knots in her coat...they sent progress photos and asked exactly what I needed throughout the process which was so nice--especially since we were able to ask to keep as much of her hair as we could versus cutting it all off as we had originally thought would need to happen. Thank goodness we didn't have to cut everything down as we had thought we would need to! Larissa also noticed my puppy's ears looked a little irritated and alerted me to check with my vet to see if there was an ear infection which turned out correct. Had she not said anything we wouldn't even know to ask our vet for help. And I haven't been able to do it myself since but they sent her home with a bow in her hair ----that was the cherry on top...Super happy with this experience and will be back again. read more

I took my dog to this groomer and unfortunately had a very upsetting experience. When I picked her up, she was bleeding from both ears and had multiple nicks on her body from being shaved. As a pet owner, it was incredibly distressing to see her in that condition. Since then, I've been communicating with the owner's husband, who has been defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for what happened. While he has offered to refund the grooming cost if I remove my reviews, this does not address the two veterinary bills I've had to pay as a direct result of the injuries my dog sustained during her visit. What's been even more heartbreaking is my dog's behavior since coming home. She has been unusually fearful and even aggressive toward me, which is completely out of character for her. She is normally very sweet, and it's clear this experience has deeply affected her. I feel it's important to share this so other pet owners can make informed decisions. I will also be reporting this situation to the Better Business Bureau. This has been a very sad and disappointing experience. read more

After many years of going to the same groomer (who we absolutely adore), I finally decided it was time to find someone closer after moving back to OC. As much as I loved our old groomer, the hour+ drive each way was slowly draining my soul and it also meant I stretched out grooming appointments longer than I should have. On a whim, I noticed this salon had recently opened near our home. After reading many great reviews, I decided to take the leap- and I'm so glad I did because they actually exceeded my expectations (which is saying a lot, because I can be pretty specific... okay, picky). They took a lot of inspiration photos from me, kept me updated throughout, and even sent pictures during the process. The initial bath photo with his little headband genuinely made me laugh out loud. There was a small miscommunication when I asked for his face to be a bit shorter, my partner picked him up before they saw my message, so it ended up slightly longer than I had in mind. But the owner was incredibly gracious and had me bring him back the next day to touch things up, which I really appreciated. The space itself is open, calm, and has a really nice vibe. The owner has been nothing but kind and accommodating. We'll definitely be returning and we're so happy to have found such a great groomer so close to home. read more

I recently moved to this area and needed dog grooming, so I looked for a place with good reviews and reached out to make an appointment. I was initially told the appointment was at 10 AM. Then, a little later, I received a message saying my appointment had been set for 9 AM instead. I accepted it and said okay. But then, out of nowhere, I got another message close to midnight saying my appointment was actually at 10 AM. Changing a customer's appointment time without even asking, and then notifying them at midnight -what kind of customer service is that? I was so taken aback that I canceled the appointment. I accidentally sent a quote request to multiple groomers on Yelp and ended up getting a call from Liza's husband at Lucious Paws -- and honestly, I'm really glad he reached out. They did an amazing job with my dog, Mochi. Right when I walked in, I immediately noticed the setup. They don't use traditional cages. It's more of an open floor plan where the pets and groomers are in the same space. For a dog like Mochi who can get anxious, this made a huge difference. When I picked him up, he wasn't stressed or nervous at all -- he actually looked happy and calm. His groomer took such good care of him. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in how they treat the dogs. For me, it's not about the price -- it's about knowing someone is taking care of my dog the way I do, and that's exactly how they treated Mochi. This was our first time with Luscious Paws, and we really preferred to have a mobile groomer. Well they did not have a mobile service however they have a pickup service to their facility. The team was so gentle, patient, and clearly cared about making it a positive experience for our puppy. Our pup came out looking adorable with "pigtails" and a bandana, and smelling amazing! I brought my Giant Schnoodle here for a regular grooming appointment. The location was cute. The staff seemed friendly. I left my dog, with very specific instructions on her hair cut/style. They told me she'd be ready in 3 hours. She wasn't actually ready until nearly 4 hours later. While I waited I could hear one of the groomers repeatedly shushing the dogs, "like Cesar Milan". Very inappropriate. He is not training. If the dog moves around or cry's, they should comfort or console, not reprimand. They left one dog crying, strapped to a table while the groomers was sitting down and on her phone. Meanwhile I can hear the other groomer constantly reprimanding my dog. To make this bad situation worse. My dog received the worse hair cut EVER! It's going to take at least 6 months-1 year to grow her hair out again. I do NOT recommend this place.
