I had the opportunity to visit Lush on Friday for the Mother's Day event. I was disappointed that the "reserved seating is only for a limited time, and not enforced, (i gave up my seat as asked, but others that were ther before and never did not). the Artist waas VERY late to perform...definitely not a fan of that! I actually left at 11. The establishment is very nice and my waiter was great. I feel like this place could be hugely sucessful with some minor adjustments. I will certainly give it another chance, although I am a far westside resident. read more

Beware of the following: 1). If you place a reservation and pay the reservation fee, the restaurant will not apply it as a credit toward your bill. 2). Restaurant applies a mandatory 25% gratuity charge. This explains why service is subpar and lacks staff lacks Customer Service because they are guaranteed a 25% gratuity. Coming from 18 years in Chicago, my expectations of great dining is way up there., and I often find myself disappointed with the dining in Arizona. HOWEVER, Lush Cafe and Lounge exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Upon entering, we were met with the gorgeous decor of the spacious, dining area. From the artwork to the accent walls, it exudes a lovely, upscale aesthetic with great attention paid to the details. It's refreshing to finally see an establishment such as this positioning itself for success. On their website, expectations are set for what kind of vibe to bring, and those who come understand the assignment. With the dress code, the reservation deposit, and the automatic 20% gratuity, Lush has not come to play or tolerate shenanigans. I'm very much appreciative that they are setting a standard, encouraging a more sophisticated clientele (i.e., Pookie, Hennesy and the crew are not likely to be here). From the hostess to our server, everyone we came in contact with was warm, welcoming, and attentive so that set the tone for the evening. I was equally impressed with the eclectic, creative food and cocktail menus. I chose the lamb lollipops with the shrimp fried rice, while my friend had the pasta with lobster and shrimp. The food and drinks tasted as amazing as they were creatively presented. The lamb chops were lean, seasoned well, and the best I've had outside of my own kitchen. There was a top-notch songstress with a live band who gave us a great show of 'ole school RnB songs. So there you have it: great vibe, amazing food, and beautiful ambiance make for a wonderful dining experience at Lush. Took my wife out on a date, and LUSH did not disappoint!!! We were greeted at the door with an inviting appeal. We were treated like VIP from the door to our table. Service was great and very professional. Our drinks were delicious as well as our food. We ordered Lush jerk rolls, cauliflower bites, and salmon with fried rice. A friend and I stopped in to Lush for brunch today. What a class act! We had the Lush French Toast with passion fruit mimosas. Fabulous! The golden fried chicken and red velvet waffles looked amazing, too, and that will probably be our next adventure. I can't wait to tell my family about this place--the night life sounds fantastic. The vibe here definitely wasn't for me. I came here on a date a week ago on a Saturday. Our reservations was at 5. We got there at exactly 5:00 pm. The door was locked. That was so weird. We had to go back to the car and my date called to let them know the door was locked. They said "oh really?" Then they apologized and came and unlocked the door. There was a couple of people at the bar drinking. They sat us right by the DJ. I couldn't stand how loud it was and was not going to tolerate this for more than 30 minutes. The restaurant had no vegan options. Most of the options didn't look like they could be modified. The waitress was nice. The drink I ordered barely had alcohol in it and my date paid 18 for it. The women at the bar kept staring giving jealous glares for no reason. Smh! I was ready to go after 20 minutes and we left and went somewhere else. We were not advised that the check could not be split and it should have been disclosed at the time of order. Being on business we need individual checks to submit. Put info on your website so we don't have to guess we could have chosen a different place to end our trip. 4. We has already separated our bar tabs out that we purchased rounds of shots. I am only visiting but we won't be back. We come here on business a lot and typically spend a lot but not here. 5. This could have been avoided with details on your website as well as an answered call from the many placed from multiple numbers, OR a return call from the voice mail left. You advertise yourself as upscale spot, but this has been low scale experience You have potential but this needs to be addressed. 6. Do not go here if you are white. I made reservations for dinner last night, I had to pay $30 to do that. When I showed up, I was told they were over capacity and they tried to seat me and my black friend on the patio that only has couches and coffee tables for dinner. I declined that arrangement and they said we could get a refund or wait. This was at 8:45 pm. I said I wanted a refund, I was told to go to the front where they ignored me and continued to seat people inside, ignoring me. I opted to leave without my refund because it was clear I was being discriminated against for being white with a black man. He came in to deal with the situation to no avail. We ended up going to another establishment. I have never experienced such racism before! read more

The place is definitely nice and beautifully decorated. The owner is so beautiful and kind. But I honestly don't believe that gratuity should be an automatic attachment to the bill. Simply because not every waitress or waiter performance is worth the amount your being forced to pay a certain portion too. Once I was there for a taco Tuesday night and my shrimp tacos were cold, of course I asked to reheat and they did, I then ordered wings on the same night because the tacos were so tiny and they were the small party wings with very little to no seasoning at all on them at all. I went to see Michel'le and order the egg rolls and the meat was VERY dry and a lot was packed in there. I had to request two different types of sauces. However I can recall ordering a drink and depending upon who makes it it can be decently enjoyable or tastes like punch. The first thing I noticed was walking up to the front door is how they have fake plants in their planter boxes upon entry. They have nice tile on the floor, but those fake plants made me laugh. I placed a reservation at LUSH for $30 which was supposed to be deducted from my $95 meal charge which never happened. I had to call a couple times to get a manager who then told me it was a "server error" and I'd have to wait 7 to 10 days before my $30 was back in my account. The place was nice and music was great but the restaurant need to adjust the sitting. While we sat at the table we watched 3 accidents on the steps in front of us, one was the owner who took a hard fall. They need to put more walking space between the steps and tables. read more

I went here for an event, and the owner made customers buy vouchers at the door for patio seating or bar seating. She kept reminding people they were a restaurant first. The voucher was good for an appetizer or salad starting at $12 and up, per person for $40 each not $40 worth of items. $20 for the seat and up to $20 worth of a food item or drink, you pay the difference. We couldn't see the artist for their 15 min set. We paid for your seat and fries for $40 or for me I got a cheap glass of wine and people standing in front of me. I also didn't get a receipt of the transaction that I had to sign twice for once on the computer and the paper receipt that should've come to me. Then an Uber to and from my home. Gratuity is automatically added into every tab regardless of how you feel about service. read more
