What makes this place extra special is the wonderful view of the lake the best time to go is at sunset so you can really take in the beauty. The calamari was to die for I would go back just for that alone. The sauce that comes with it is amazing, and the lemon slice makes everything taste so fresh and light. The burgers were juicy and they ask how you want the patty cooked. Even though I'm not a big fan of tiramisu, I still really enjoyed theirs. Going to Pier 54 on a slower day would probably be a much better experience than going on a Friday night. The service was extremely slow, and it seemed like the bartender was more interested in talking than actually doing their job. It took us 45 minutes just to get a pitcher of beer, which is ridiculous. I would not recommend this place. read more

So sad... we come here semi regularly when cool enough and in town. We were excited to return but found out the pork chile verde is no longer served. Great outdoor spot for lunch (there is no indoor seating). They have a covered area and a very hot un covered area right by the lake. My friend and I sat outside by the lake and the sun was blaring at us, so it was very hot. It was really busy so we couldn't move to a more shaded area but I really wanted to try there food so we stuck it out. We started with the meatballs and they were SO good!! For my meal I ordered the Lamb and goat cheese burger and it was AWESOME!! The food here was outstanding! Unfortunately, the service was very slow and our server failed to do the smallest of things like bring us small plates for our app, silverware and refill our drinks as needed. Seeing some lower star reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but we went anyway and thought it was really good. Only 4 minutes from home and we would go back to Pier 54! We had brussels sprouts and cauliflower appetizer, salmon burger, lamb burger and fries, and shared tiramisu for dessert. All were just fine and tasty, and was served to us in the normal amount of time it would take at any restaurant. Don't pay much attention to the bad reviews. We had reservations at 6:30 on Saturday and got a great table with a perfect view on the top level. There are no smoking signs all around and didn't smell smoke at all. Server was attentive and she was friendly, ambiance was great and the music was entertaining. The sunset was beautiful. Would give it five stars, but thought adding a fee for using a card was tacky. There was a nice lively, but good crowd of happy folks there too, not loud or obnoxious! (The security guard at the first parking lot was kind of crabby in telling us to go to the next lot to the south, no big deal at all walking to the restaurant from there.) read more

Great Spot with Awesome Vibes! I stumbled upon this place while driving by and decided to book a table in advance for a birthday celebration--and I'm so glad I did! Our server was super chill, friendly, and very attentive. He brought us water and menus right after we were seated and made us feel welcome from the start. We brought a birthday cake with us, and they were kind enough to let us enjoy it at our table--big plus! I asked about mocktail options for the two birthday guests (both underage), and our server recommended two they ended up loving. The weather was a bit muggy, but the lake view--especially at sundown--was beautiful and made it all worth it. The live music added such a great touch and really helped set the relaxed, upbeat vibe. We were a group, so we ordered a variety of dishes to share. The pretzel was a standout--especially with the homemade mustard and cheese combo, which was perfect when mixed together. The nachos were solid, though I wish the cheese had a little more flavor. The pico de gallo on top, however, was really fresh and tasty. Carne asada fries were delicious, but I think they would've been perfect with shredded cheese melted on top instead of the liquid cheese. We also had the Wagyu hamburgers, and they were *very* delicious--juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The roasted vegetables were amazing too--super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. And the bacon-wrapped shrimp? So good! They were melt-in-your-mouth delicious and came with a side of steamed veggies that were simple but tasty. I visited this establishment for what was advertised as a wonderful Mother's Day brunch to celebrate my daughter's very first Mother's Day, and I left feeling utterly disappointed. Upon arrival, we encountered security directing us to park in a separate lot, which was frustrating. When checking in, they didn't even ask about our reservation and seated us in a filthy booth with a yellow rose on the table. Service was lacking with only one waitress catering to the entire dining area. The menu was small and restrictive, allowing no substitutions. We ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches that were extremely basic and not served on Noble bread as claimed--just toasted bread, and it wasn't even grilled. My daughter ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, which was basic but a small step up from the sandwiches. To make matters worse, our mimosas were served in glasses that had lipstick stains on them--really unacceptable for any restaurant. We paid $35.00 for a bottle of cheap champagne for the table. When I complained they brought us a new glass. However we had already poured the cheap champagne into our glasses so we were just expected to transfer the germs. I was shocked by the final bill, which totaled $157.78, including an 18% tip, and we were charged a special fee 20% fee for the brunch that was not clearly communicated beforehand just in fine small print. This left a bitter taste in my mouth. Even now, almost a week later, I still feel jaded by this experience. We noticed another menu on the table that we were not allowed to order from, which added to our frustration. I cannot recommend this place to anyone and strongly caution others against choosing it for a special occasion. They should be ashamed of themselves.Shame on you Pier 54 for taking complete advantage of Mothers on Mother's Day. read more

Hands down, WORST dinner experience we've had in probably a decade. It's truly baffling how much went wrong this night, and it just kept building on its self, becoming a complete disaster. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE TORTURING YOURSELF & COMPANY. For reference to the information below, our table had 3 couples (6 people). We were seated at the table and it took 17 minutes for the server to welcome us to the restaurant and tell us that'll she'll bring water. **I stopped her in her tracks and asked her to take our drink orders + appetizers orders (the writing was on the wall in respect to lack of service). 37 minutes later, three drinks (3 out of 6) were delivered, and 1 of them was for another table. We had to call the server back over so she could remove the drink. Also, the wine that was delivered wasn't the wine ordered, but we decided not to mention it since it took so long the first time. The server decided to take this time to complain about everything going wrong, how nothing could be done, no one is helping, how she's overwhelmed, that her spilling an entire tray of drinks on another table forced her to fall behind an ADDITIONAL TEN MINUTES, how she was worried about tips, etc. etc. etc........ 29 mins from there, 2 entrees were delivered... again, we called the server back and let her know that we were given an incorrect entree, which we ALSO told her we touched with our hands (but didn't eat) thinking it was ours, and then SHE TOOK IT TO A TABLE A FEW SECTIONS DOWN AND GAVE IT TO THEM!!!! 5 mins later, I got up to ask the Manager for our drinks that we ordered since it had now been an HOUR AND 11 MINUTES since ordering drinks and only half of our party had something to drink. The Manager got flustered with me and immediately snarled saying they were on their way as she stormed off. To which the drinks were delivered 3 minutes later. It quite literally took another 22 minutes for 4 additional entrees to be delivered. AND AGAIN, ANOTHER ENTREE DELIVERED WASN'T WHAT OUR TABLE ORDERED, so it sat there untouched for 12 minutes until the server came with what she thought was the last entree for the table. Mind you....... we also ordered 2 appetizers that were never given to us, so we told her to cancel them, but she immediately told us they were coming out next SMH ---- AFTER THE ENTREES WERE. Most of us finished our food and we still had 2 others still awaiting theirs. Now, you might be questioning our manors for eating before everyone's food arrived, but after we waited 10 mins for the remaining entrees to be delivered, the food was already cold, and we all agreed just to take it on the chin and eat without everyone being served yet. At this point, we're all struck with shear disgust of this operation and blatant disregard for service/food etiquette (taking food that was delivered to a table and touched by the table... to then pick it back up and deliver to another table for them to eat; MIND BLOWN). I had to get up again and walk back up the stairs to the bar to ask for a refill of the unsweetened tea I ordered which was sitting there on the corner of the table directly at the front of the table where the server would stand for OVER AN HOUR. She (the server) FINALLY came by again about another 15 minutes later (whilst we were all sitting there questioning this entire restaurant operation) to drop off the check AND WE HAD TO ASK HER WHERE SHE WAS AND WHY WE'RE STILL MISSING AN APPETIZER, MISSING AN ENTREE AND NONE OF US COULD GET ANY ADDITIONAL DRINKS ORDERED NOR REFILLED..... She just complained about her life and the restaurant being busy and how nothing could've prevented the god-awful service. I was absolutely baffled and at a loss for words hearing the crap she was spewing out of her mouth. Normally, I leave a tip, even when service was far from great, however, I was so beyond disgusted and upset about everything transpiring, I told the table there was zero chance this disgusting server would earn a tip. To my surprise, SHE ADDED HER OWN TIP ONTO MY CHECK/TAB (which was for 2 drinks, 2 entrees) and the tip was 22%!!!!!!!!! WHAT IN GODS NAME DO THEY THINK THEY'RE DOING. The server never came back to us after delivering the checks, which is obviously apparent as to why. We paid the tabs and got out of dodge as quick as we possibly could, which we were there for over 3 painstaking hours just waiting for food/drinks the entire time. read more

Dessert menu is limited to just cheesecake and tiramisu- so we skipped it. When we first got here there was a guy with a shirt that said security on it who asked us to move our car because he said that the Korean bbq place next door would tow us. I did not see any signage indicating who could park where etc. Also if you're in a wheelchair I'd say it may be difficult to get to some seating. The hostess asked me when I arrived if I had a reservation but it didn't seem like they were busy- but maybe they prefer that folks make a reservation. Live music was good, but a little loud if you were looking for a quiet meal. But they don't always have live music. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, trust me--you'll never forget this place... no matter how hard you try. You'd think, logically, that the restaurant's parking lot is where you should park. Nope! Try that, and security will materialize out of thin air to redirect you like a confused mall cop. Should of took that as a sign to keep on driving to another place to eat. The Food: Let's just say I was more afraid of food poisoning than enjoying my meal. The "Big Giant Pretzel" was neither big nor giant, unless your frame of reference is a woman's small hand. And the flavor? Imagine a pretzel that spent its life basking under a heat lamp while marinating in the essence of burnt fries. Oh, and the iced tea? It was refreshing--until I saw something at the bottom of my cup. Let's just say I didn't need a fortune teller to know I was about to have a bad time. My husband got his burger and fries a solid 15 minutes before my "grilled" chicken Cobb salad, which was neither grilled nor particularly Cobb-y. It was basically chicken asada, deep-fried, and thrown on some Spinach. I've had better salads from a gas station--and they didn't cost me $20. The Service: Our waiter? A vibe. He rocked '70s sunglasses, looking like he was either hiding from the law or still recovering from last night's party. Service was impressively slow--I didn't even know it was possible to wait that long for a salad. And forget checking on us--our guy pulled a disappearing act so good David Copperfield would be impressed. A customer from downstairs hiked up the stairs to find him just so we could get a box and the bill. The Atmosphere: Tiktok lied to me. This place is tiny and absolutely filthy. Dusty, rusty, and about as clean as a boy teenager's laundry basket. And let's talk about the bathroom situation--because, spoiler alert, there isn't one. You have to walk across the parking lot to a separate restroom that smells like trauma and regret. One stall was so clogged it looked like it was auditioning for a horror movie. And if you're thinking about sitting by the water, be ready for a steep stairway descent--because nothing says "relaxing meal" like an impromptu leg workout. Also, the chairs down there? Plastic. Because nothing screams "high-end dining" like the same furniture used at backyard BBQs. And the customer scene didn't disappoint either. Picture this: a girl on a date casually lounging with her legs propped up on a chair sitting like a frog, nonchalantly picking her toes as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Well, the service was great. The food was tasty. Unfortunately, they allow smoking on the patio. The smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering and nauseating. I had a group of five people that were trying to enjoy dinner, but in the meantime, we couldn't wait to get the hell out of there due to the heavy smell of cigarette smoke, which basically ruined our first experience there. The view & vibe is great but the service/food is not. When we first walked in there was someone smoking a cigarette which is not an appetizing way to enter the area you will be eating a meal. We then sat right by the water which was fine but the chairs are white plastic outdoor chairs. Our waitress was a young girl, she was cute and nice, but she was a bad waitress. (Also not to hate on her but she was wearing tiny booty shorts and a crop top, just felt weird) She had a table next to us that was clearly her friends because she hugged them and only talked to them the rest of the time we were there, ignoring our needs for more waters/drinks/sauces. She also forgot to ring in our appetizer and our main course had come out and she never mentioned anything about the appetizer until we asked about it so we cancelled that order. She forgot to bring us sauce even though we mentioned it a few times and she never refilled our waters but was always asking if we wanted more alcoholic beverages. I came here today with a few friends around 3:15, right after they opened. We were sat right away by a very friendly hostess and promptly given menus and water. We got the spinach artichoke dip for our appetizer and I got the lamb burger as my meal. The dip was garlicy and savory, absolutely perfect. And my burger was wonderful! The tzatziki was wonderfully fresh. The view is beautiful and the vibe of the place is definitely laid back. The one drawback is they allow smoking at the bar and if you're eating and a non smoker, the smell can be off putting while you eat.
