Highly recommend a Lush party! I had a lush party for my 33rd birthday, and it was such a darling experience. Lily and Jasper were expert hosts, and made the experience 10x better. The ladies were really knowledgeable in the products, and made us feel pampered and cared for. We got to make lush items, and my party got to take home some goodies. I was hooked on hello! I love their products so much. I kept coming home with bags and bags full.

LUSH has a distinct scent that you'll notice when you walk by. I used to find it a little overwhelming and sickening, but as I've learned to love some of their products, it's kind of grown on me. It's a little like how the Abercrombie scent used to be: you can smell it from several doors down and when you walk in, boom. What I love about LUSH is anything with the Sleepy scent. It's a very soothing lavender. I particularly like the lotion. There's also a Sleepy Bear scent of which I recently picked up some shower gel. The product are pricey (particularly the shower gel), but I have found things such as the lotion to last a decent amount of time. I recently purchase some Sleepy temple oil, so look forward to giving that a go. I will say that the service at this location is top notch. TERRIBLE customer service!!! Rude. Went day after Xmas to return a gift given to me. We get there and they do not take returns on 12/26 because it's "BOXING DAY".... Ummm, we aren't in the UK/Canada but fine I'll come back tomorrow. Came back 12/27 and since we did not have a receipt, we just wanted a gift card to purchase items later. They then proceed to say we can't do that, they don't give a give card with the amount for later, we must spend it now. Not to mention they are already keeping 1/2 the amount already since we did not have a gift receipt. We were fine with that, but not putting the lowered amount on a GC is stupid. We returned it in CA, wanted the card so we can buy back home in TN. They argued the things are in travel size so that's it not an issue. It was an issue. We are doing carry on and can only take a quart sized baggie with liquids. I don't want to fill it with Lush stuff, and also smell the plane up with their overly scented junk. We will NEVER shop at Lush again, now will I suggest it to anyone. ALL stores will take a gift return, and if you don't have the receipt, yes you get the sales price, BUT almost ALL will give you a gift card with the amount. read more

I love all the products I bought. Let the Good Times Roll is an excellent cleanser and scrub in one! It smells like vanilla. Breath of Fresh Air is a toner that smells like rose. BB Seaweed is a mask and smells so fresh and softens your skin (keep refrigerated)! Honey and Aloe Vera in this one! Love this store! I will definitely be back again! My daughter and I are OBSESSED with Lush! I always try to avoid places like this because I will go nuts, but it was too hard to resist. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, but resist their salesman tactics or you'll give them your entire pay check. Know what you're going for, stick to it and get samples and try them out first. Shampoo bars; I have thick, oily hair and go through tons of shampoo. I am looking forward to saving money and decreasing my carbon footprint with these. I have to wash my hair everyday or I'd be one of those stinky heads that walk around...gross. The only thing about the shampoo bars is that I wish they were more scented so I could smell my hair throughout the day. -Jumping Juniper: I like this when I need a good scalp scrub down. This shampoo tends to make my hair feel dry afterwards, but nothing a light conditioner can't fix. I just need to get the days' gunk out of my scalp or I'll end up itchy and covered in dandruff. -Lullaby: to me, seems like a lighter version of Jumping Juniper and doesn't dry out my hair as much. -Soak and Float: I was talking to staff about dandruff and they recommended this product. I have to tell you, that this bar doesn't always help me with this problem. I was also afraid to try this because of some of the reviews from Lush's website stating that it smelled really bad like a campfire. They have reformulated the shampoo, so it smells great. Bar soaps that I've tried and or purchased(I tend to sweat a lot and have oily skin after a long day, so what seems like a good sudsing bar, isn't always the case for me. If I have to keep adding soap to my Japanese buffing cloth, then I don't feel like it's doing a good job at getting me clean.) -Outback Mate: love this. Very refreshing, invigorating, good clean feeling and smells great. I love this bar to wake me up when I feel like I don't want to get up and be an adult. -serendipity: I love lavender but this one didn't do lavender any justice. I actually felt like it smelled bad. -rockstar: cute, suds well, smells good but I didn't feel like buying this one. Its a pretty pink sudser. -Layer cake: this one sample I got just kept falling apart so I wasn't liking it very well. It also didn't sud well enough for me, so I had to keep using more and more soap. I spoke with a Lush staff member who said that yes, it does tend to fall apart because it's layered when it's made. -Karma: this smells wonderful! I would buy this again. Strongly scented with patchouli oil and lingered on my skin. The other soaps I've tried don't have a scent that sticks to you as well as Karma. -Maypole: I love this soap. The sweetness of Maple syrup and light peppermint is a wonderful combo. -Sultana of Soap: this has to be my favorite scent. I wish they would make this in a perfume. This soap suds so well and doesn't dry out your skin. I don't have to get a ton of soap for this to lather to my liking. I don't care for the dried fruit pieces on top of the bar. Those eventually fall out and just land in the bottom of your tub, but I would buy this over and over. I hope they never discontinue this one. -Sea Vegetable-another good soap. I love the way this one smells too. It's a pretty bar with dried seaweed and sea salt on top which falls off. Doesn't lather well enough for me. -Sexy Peel: this one smells great! It doesn't look pretty, but it does smell like a lemon grove and will wake up your senses. There are some dried peels in it, so it has a rough texture. I don't like when your soap is running out and the pieces fall out. -Miranda: In the shower it smells alright, but after I dry myself and smell my skin it just smells disgusting. I literally smelled like VOMIT the first time I tried it. I would never purchase this soap after using the sample that I received. -Bohemian: nice clean lemony scent, doesn't lather well enough for me. -Monsters and Aliens: tried to like this but was too strongly scented for my kids, spicy vanilla isn't a good one for little tots. The scent stuck way too much. -Rainbow: this fun soap worked well for my kids. bubble bar, soap, shampoo yes please! Smells great too. For exfoliation, I've tried Buffy and love this one. I don't care for the scent, and I **only** use it for my elbows so it's lasted a very long time. If you use it for your whole body, so goodbye to this bar very quickly. Face wash and scrubs: I have oily, acne prone skin with a lot of blackheads. -Let The Good Times Roll: I use this as a scrub instead of a wash. I love how soft my skin feels after using this, and it smells SO EDIBLE. Resist the urge to munch on it. -Herbalism: makes you want to add olive oil in to the mix and dip the bread. works well for oily skin, doesn't exfoliate. -Coalface: good face wash my my kind of skin. TIP for all colorful products: make sure your sink or tub don't have a ring around it, or the color WILL STICK. Nothing that a good bathroom cleaning won't remove though. read more

The worst customer service by Lara! I called ahead to make sure I could return a Christmas gift and spoke to Charlotte. She assured me that I could return for a full refund the online purchase if I brought the gift and emailed order invoice. I went on my lunch hour to the very busy mall and was treated like a peasant by Lara. First she said it couldn't be done. Then she said she called Charlotte. She then told me they could make this rare exception and accept this refund. I only had my sons credit card number NOT the actual card. Lara said she absolutely couldn't do anything for me without the actual card I ended up calling LUSH online that told me to go to the store and return it. I came in just to look around. When I entered an employee asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I knew that I needed some face wash so I asked if they had any and sure enough they did. The employee showed me one of their face washes and let me sample it with my hand. It made my skin super soft so I ended up buying it. It was the Angels on Bare Skin face wash. It has little bits of lavender in it so it smells real nice. I got the small for $18 and the woman that helped me out said that it would last around four months, which is a pretty good deal. The staff is well-informed as to their various products and their intended uses. Mostly I have been to the Mission Viejo Shops location, so this review is based on their store and staff. The products themselves are top quality, with natural ingredients and no artificial colors or dyes. The soaps and bath bombs smell so fresh that I have even bought several to use as an air freshener in 2 of my home's bathrooms. I was interested in buying a mask and I told her my skin conditions. She suggested a few from the mask bar and even tested our top two choices on my hands to see the comparison between the two which literally helped make my decision. I ended up purchasing The Sacred Truth mask for my face and instantly went home to try it on my face and fell in love. So hydrating but not too strong on my sensitive skin.
