I loved my nails today. I've been here several times and it has been a hit more than miss overall. I cleared my morning at work to come here. It's a little out of the way, but I needed my nails done right. I had a guy technician today, and every time I have a guy, it's fast and I like my nails. I just had my nails done not even 10 days ago at the shop by Publix on E. Atlanta road, and I was right back the next day with a cracked SNS nail. She jigga- rigged it and the day after that, it broke and caused my real nail to split and I had to pry it off, and wait for it to heal a bit so I could get them redone, and the rest of them kept snagging people's hair. I don't have time for that type of nonsense because I need my nails for work. My clients have become so accustomed to getting a shampoo with my nails until I consider them a necessary business expense. I have been getting faulty nail services a lot lately, and having to go right back for repairs the next day after spending $80. There was once a time when one Asian nail shop was as good as the next, but now you have to be as picky about your nail tech as you are about your hairstylist. One day I'm going to find and train some good nail techs and add nail services to my salon. In the meantime, hopefully I can keep getting what I want at Lush or else I'll be driving out to Lithonia. read more

Business owner (woman) extremely negligent. Came in to have my acrylics removed and get a manicure. Rather than soaking, lady started yanking off the acrylics, carelessly, and negligently. Cracker my nail completely down the middle, and when she saw the blood she quickly left to the register and sent one of her employees to now offer to soak off my nails -- trying to avoid me. NO ONE can top Taylor at this salon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why the low rating: the pedicure. I've had 3 different people do pedicures for me here. Young Linda, a man, and old Linda. I really liked the way old Linda did my feet. Except for one thing ... the last time I went and got my feet done my big toe began to hurt a couple days later. I thought maybe she had nicked me. But after a week, I went back and had them remove the polish so I could see why the toe was hurting. I noticed the nail was split vertically. I ended up cutting the nail down and began to treat it. Within a month, I noticed my other toenails were different. I have fungus. I know I got it from this salon. Not sure if it was the foot bath or the nail polish. I believe the nail clippers and other instruments used to do the pedicure weren't sterilized, also fungus lives in nail polish, so using that polish on many clients can cause contamination. Additionally, my fingernails became so sore from the constant filing and application of acrylics. I am now letting the fingernails heal and seeking medical attention for my toenails. Beware! Again, TAYLOR IS THE BOMB.COM!, I highly recommend her. But ... BEWARE! You will probably get nail fungus. I believe Old Linda knew, laughing and just smiling as she did my toes with tainted and infected polish. Not speaking a word of English. Another thing, they are costly. I saw a hand displayed with various styles. my pedicure was done really well. She trimmed my toes and shaped them just the way I like them. She took her time and cut the cuticles and got in there. She removed the gel polishes from my nails and buffed them without a fuss. Because of that I went ahead and got a Gel Mani. I would recommend this nail bar to anyone. read more

Just had the most humiliating experience at this salon, and just needed to vent before I start crying again. First time treating myself to any salon services since before the start of the pandemic. I'm eight months pregnant, and I go in for a mani pedi, and decide since I'm being induced in three weeks, and it's getting harder to shave my legs, I'll splurge and get my legs waxed. I've never had my legs waxed before. I look at the menu of services, and it says $45 for leg waxing (from the knee down). I tell the manicurist that I would like this done. I'm brought back to a room to be waxed, and everything goes fine. Nothing is said except the regular small talk. Your legs are going to be so smooth. Girl or boy? Etc. I come to the front to pay, and at the counter in front of all the staff and clients, she tells me it will be $96 for my wax. I asked her why I was being charged over twice the price, and the staff snickered around her as she explained to me that the price was for "normal legs". I said, "oh, so you're charging me more because I'm fat?" They all giggled, and she nodded. I slammed $60 cash on the counter... (weird. I dont know "--I like angrily compromised?) And walked out with tears in my eyes. Part of me feels like a stupid Karen for not paying what I "owed", but mostly I feel like an idiot for paying anything at all. She made me feel less than human. I gave myself time to calm down so I could write a clear review. This place is TERRIBLE. I was nearby and decided to give them a try. Let's start at the beginning. I came in for a fill in and pedicure (which I ended up not getting because the nail service was so terrible I refused to sit there any longer). I was assigned a younger guy to do my fill in. I have stiletto nails. He started using the drill file to file them. He wasn't paying attention to he was holding it in one spot and burned clear thru the nail to my natural nail. All of my cuticles were cut up by the machine. Four of my knuckles are also cut up with scabs because he lost control of the machine. He had then filed my nails paper thin and said "oh you need to soak off and get new set". This set isn't even a month old. I refused. I asked him to stop filing and making them thinner and thinner. He kept going. Then he proceeded to round off the shape of my nails and ruin the stiletto point. Said it looked better. I never asked him what HE wanted my nails to look like. His opinion is invalid here. I had my AirPods in and the way Every time I said something to him he never spoke directly to me only to the girl next to him made me uncomfortable. So I turned on the translate app. He was telling her HE HAD NO EXPERIENCE IN DOING THIS SHAPE. I got upset and asked for someone else since he had no experience. The next guy puts the acrylic on suuuuuper thick to try to rectify the paper thin filing the previous guy had done. At this point I am so annoyed and upset. He reshapes the nails as best he could but they still were NOT what I came in with or asked for. Now let's get to the paint and design. I attached a picture of what I asked for. He didn't know how to do any design other than marble even though it was simple straight lines. At this point I'm FUMING and just want to go. He begins to paint them ON TOP of the dust from the filing. I'm telling him this is not how this should be done and he told me to relax my hands. Just ignored my concerns. You can't see in the pictures but there's grains under the polish because he painted OVER the dust from filing. I left in near tears. This was TERRIBLE experience and customer service. The person at the front desk slammed my receipt on the counter rather than hand it to me when I refused to leave a tip for this mess. He wouldn't even listen to my complaint. read more

As glamorous as this nail salon looks, don't let looks deceive you. I have now visited this salon 3 times trying to give them a chance, but I will no longer be returning. Every single time I've been charged different amounts for the same exact nails and style. I do SNS with tips and I do them medium length. However, every single time I am charged more. It started out with $51, then $53, then $58. When I asked the person in charge he said "oh yeah because you have on tips." I said I get the same tips and size every single time, there is no way that the cost is different every single time. They also force you to have gel on your toe nails. When I first asked for regular polish the nail tech that did my toes, an older man, was very rude and messed them up and when I asked him to please fix them, he became upset with me and said that's because I don't use gel. I should not have to feel forced to use gel on my toes. My total pedicure was $35 before the gel and because he forced gel on me there was another $15 added to the bill, on top of the generous tip that I left for both nail techs (hands and feet). Recently, there have many nail salons popping up in Locust Grove, but the quality and service are not great. I will be returning to my little nail salon, where I get what I ask for. read more

Came here on a whim because I needed a pedicure and my usual place wasn't open. I opted for the deluxe pedicure, which at most salons is a minimum of 30 minutes for the pedicure alone, but from the time I walked in the door to the time I was back in my car was about 25 minutes. The tech asked if I wanted the callous remover and I said yes, but when he came back over to me he was empty handed and never used that tool. Told him I wanted zero polish, not even clear, and he did clear anyway. Then he sent another person over to take the towels off my legs and and do the last "massage" (because he was at the front counter cutting up with another employee and couldn't be bothered to walk back over) before telling me I was done. The nail tech did not put a base coat on, so all the polish failed to stay on my nails for an extended period of time. I called them to let them know about the mishap and the gentleman kindly obliged to fix the issue. However, I showed up at 7 pm on Tuesday evening only to find a locked door and another guy telling me to come back another time. Unfortunately, I have to find a sitter to get there earlier, so I'll no longer be able to utilize their services. Don't be fooled. The customer service here is absolutely the worst. I am not sure if they have changed management or what, but everything is bad here now. I arrived as they opened. I told the lady at the front I was there for a pedicure. She asks if I have an appointment. No, I tell her. I was told to go sit. One other client in the entire salon. After sitting for about 10 minutes, I ask her how long it will be before I can get my pedicure. Angrily, she calls out to the staff asking "who wants HER?" meaning me. No one answered. I went to leave, and she said no, go to chair XXX. I did. I chose my color. the nail tech decides to ignore my choice and gets a dark fall like color. I tell her no, wrong color. "That will be $5.00 color change then." Excuse me? She made the error, and only one toe was polished. Not happy. I told her "whatever,to go ahead". A pretty color, just not a summer shade. Then she cuts my nails all crooked. She said that is how they are. Say what?! It boils down to this was the worst pedi I have ever gotten. This place USED TO BE NICE! HORRIBLE. Just horrible. Never in my 15 years of getting my nails done have Ive had such a bad nail job. At first i thought she was gonna do a good job til i noticed she kept on filing and shaping my nails but i didnt think anything of it i thought she was just trying to get the shape right. I was watching a show on my phone when she applied the acrylic but SHE kept filing making the sides of my finger nails raw which i pulled away from. I went on to continue to watch my show and then she was done. i had been there for such a long time i looked and paid and left. Usually i dont complain so when i looked i didnt look into detail and just left but quickly returned to make her all my uneven nails and bubbled gel acrylic. I paid 60 dollars for this SUPER short set with basic gel. I never felt so ripped off in my life. I went to this place while visiting for work. I needed to get a mani since my polish was chipping and this salon was within walking distance of my hotel. The inside was huge; at least 15 pedicure chairs and a large selection of polish. However, most of the brands I did not recognize. I chose a red polish from the list and sat down. The girl who did my mani/pedi was nice and did a good job. Her massage was weak but she was diligent about cuticle cutting. The total was $38 which is much more expensive than in the northeast but I figured she did a decent job so it was fine. I woke up the next morning, and the polish on 4 of my fingers was completely smeared. I think the polish is cheap, since OPI and Essie (which is in most salons) never do this. I also sat for over 10 minutes drying my nails. If I was staying another night in the area I would've had it fixed, but now I'll be paying to get the mani redone when I get home. read more

I was courteous and patient explaining to them that my nails need to be handled with care due to the previous bad nail job by another tech in their salon. I requested no soaking or roughing if my nail. They talked in Vietnamese because apparently they weren't happy I was being specific. The guy Steven seemed bothered so I asked if he even wanted to do them because by all means this is a service I was paying for... he wasn't doing me a favor. He proceeded to let me foil soak, but because the time another guy... Rude guy came and checked he broke another nail even after I repeatedly ask him to not be so rough. He didn't care so I demanded that he not touch me and to leave me alone. They charge more than other places, but don't stand by their work and easily make repairs. Two nails broke from my SNS on my real nails being too thin and they charged me for the repairs days later! Subpar quality for more money is not okay with me. Pay $20 instead of $30 somewhere else. Guess that's what I get for trying a closer place. I contemplated writing this review for several days as I knew I was not concerned with the business' response as I would not be going back... BUT after a 3rd damaged nail I had no choice. I tried our this nail spa in Saturday, August 4th, was amazed and honestly indecisive with the vast selection of SNS choices but settled on glittery pink and white ombre. The technician had a bit of trouble understanding this initially, but gradually there was an understanding and the combination of powders necessary to creat the looks was determined. The technician appeared to do a great job as my nails were smooth, very uniform and well shaped. When it was time to pay for my services I was told my total was $45, I was in shock because I didn't have a top or special shape, did not receive a manicure and did not see a fee associated with soaking my previous SNS off. When walking into the salon I remembered checking the prices and the base price for my service was $28, $35 for SNS with a nail top or SNS French or SNS ombre, I expected that the ombre combination I was using would be the same price. I did not question the difference in price, just politely left and knew I likely wouldn't return based on high price. My true frustration with the service begin Sunday evening while doing chores around the house I noticed a seam in my right thumbnail which upon touching turned into a full bend and chip in the nail. I determined that the SNS powder was too thin at the top which caused the seam/crack when my nail was flexed. I encountered another bend and thin crack by Tuesday and then on a 3rd nail on day 8. After the chip within the 1st 24 hrs I contemplated calling the salon to determine if they would repair the chip, but by the time I would have been able to get to the location I was experiencing my 2nd seam and realized I was just not happy with the service overall. Additionally I'd like to add that the organization of patrons waiting to be serviced could be improved. While there, at least 3 individuals threatened to leave as they were waiting at a vacant station waiting for a technician to service them, yet we're not prepped by soaking their nails or feet. Okay, so I have a lot to say about this place. When they first opened I was super excited to try them out because they were so close to my work. The first couple of times I went there, they're were nothing special besides the great color choices they have. I walked in 40 minutes until they closed and was immediately greeted and was asked to pick a color for my pedi and have a seat in the chair. 45 minutes had passed when I FINALLY got asked if me or the person next to me was there first. I expected the man that sat me to know I was the one there first, so instead of letting the technician know who had sat there first, the girl next to me raised her hand so the technician went to her. Came here for a pedicure and eyebrow wax walked in no greeting just "sign in" I'm not confrontational and I try to understand they had quite a few people, but communication sucks other than them talking to each other. The guy that did my pedi was nice, but once he put the top coat on my toes he said "you can sit here and let them dry" (at the pedi chair) then disappeared. I sat there, nobody said anything about the wax. Made my way to the door someone was checking out already so there were a couple of employees standing there and literally looked at me and walked away I could've walked out.
