Well....I thought I would try a diffferent nail salon just to see what a different nail salon could offer. I spent 33 minutes sitting in a massage chair watching other people get pedicures. 3 people walked out after sitting in their chairs for a while, I should have taken my cue from them. Paid a little extra for deluxe pedicure for myself and my daughter. My daughter dId not even get the advertised massage on the menu card. I didn't say anything because the lady quickly got up and took off from working on my daughters toes. I understand being busy although we could have been told it would be a long wait. I don't leave a lot of reviews. Typically I only feel led to do so when my service is superior or horrific. Unfortunately, for the Lush Nail Bar in Locust Grove, it is the latter so this review will be long and detailed so you will understand. If you choose to go try this place for yourself, don't say you weren't warned. I went here 3 times. There are a couple of great technicians here, but good luck getting them. They are clearly trained by management to be manipulative. The couple of good ones choose not to, but the majority of the others will try everything they can to scam you. First time was great! The second visit I had to battle the "you want gel" debate so I will be charged more. No, I don't want gel. Haha. But other than that, it was ok. Third visit was just insane. My nail technician took and made calls throughout my fill in. Then she left to go wax eyebrows. Ok, so that happens sometimes, so I'm still trying to be open-minded. What I requested was simple: fill in with French manicure with a little glitter on my accent nail. And... here comes the gel polish trick. "This glitter will work so much better," and starts polishing. I stopped her when she asked me to put my hand in the gel light. I expressed to her I didn't ask for gel. I verified with her that it would cost more. She smiled and giggled and said yes, it would be $45. Y'all, I was getting a fill in with French tips. I asked how much a fill in was and she said $35. I was very surprised and asked if she indeed said $35 for just a fill in. She said yes and no one around her spoke up. She whispered we'd finish the gel since she started it and put her finger to her mouth as to indicate it was our secret and she wouldn't charge me for the gel. I let her finish the gel with the full intentions of checking the price on their brochure before I paid. She told me she would only charge me $43 when we were done. Yeah I don't think so. Sure enough, fill in clearly showed in the brochure as $25. When I pointed this out to her she just nodded and said reminded me she did gel. I reminded her I told her not to. Fill in was $25, French was $8, and cut down was $5. She received $38, no tip, and I will never be back. read more

Michael was HORRIBLE! I really have no others words to describe it. I got both a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was fine but Michael once again HORRIBLE! He was extremely rough. I can't recall the amount of times I said ouch but felt ignored. He was shaking the entire time that I just felt uncomfortable. This was first time and possibly my last visit at this establishment, if I do come back I refuse to seat in his chair and hope whoever reads this don't as well. Awful location. I'm very pregnant and needed a quick pedi/massage. They have their closing listed as 8pm. I arrived there at 7:28 and the lady at check-in gave us an ugly look (which I saw her whole face because she had NO mask on), and said "umm we take our last customer at 7pm. But I'll see." She stands in the middle of the salon and says "Does anyone want to take a mani and pedi or no?" The nail tech says no, and the hostess laughs and says "sorry sweetheart, 10am tomorrow." Don't go there unless customer service is not a priority to you. The fumes in there were so strong, there was clearly very little ventilation. Additionally, I've been to several other Lush Nail Bar locations and this by far is the worst one (McDonough/Hampton exit). read more

I normally get gel for my nail, but I decided to try SNS because they said it would last longer. First of all, I'm not impressed with the SNS process as they must dip everyone's dirty finger into the same powder. Just gross! Also the finished product looks dull and a bit bumpy. The worst part is that 2 days after getting SNS the paint chipped off one nail. Now after 4 days, I have 3 chipped nails. I could have gotten gel and made them last for 3 weeks! This is not my usual salon. I prefer service from salons on the north side as they appear to under they are in a service industry and act accordingly. The initial visit the nail tech was rude. I was preparing for a function and pressed for time and I happen upon the salon. Upon my return again pressed for time, the rude nail tech says she does not feel comfortable proving me service without explanation To add insult to injury the replacement nail tech was cold and unfriendly finishes my nail and dismisses herself no hand massage or warm towel . I hand to sit there for 15 minutes with nail filings and oil dripping from my hand while my pedi was completed. Lesson learned stopped spending my hard earned money in a place where the service is poor . People listen up! This not the place you should be visiting. My pedicure was so bad that a family member asked me if I had done them myself. While there I was going to ask for another technician however I did not have the patience to stay any longer. My husband and I went here for pedicures one evening. Those were great! I returned the next day to have my nails done. I had gel polish on my natural nail. Since I am new to the area, I was hesitant at letting someone do my nails because I am very picky. I do not like for the drill to be used on my natural nail bed this includes taking off the gel polish. I normally soak my nails and then they use the scraper to remove the gel polish. Well the first guy they sat me down with did not understand this and became upset when I told him not to use the drill on my nails. He began to explain to me what he needed to do. Sir, I know what can be done to my nails. You may not want to do it because it takes longer but since I am paying, this is what I want done. He then proceeds to have me soak my nails and goes to the other side and, I guess, tell them what the issue is. Shortly thereafter, another young lady comes to get me and confirms what it is that I need. I confirm, yes, that is what I want. She then wraps my nails, which is how I usually take of the gel polish. She finishes doing my nails and I absolutely love them! I will definitely return to this location because they worked to make sure that I was satisfied. Kudos to Apple who took the time to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I came here on a Sunday with my mother at 4pm. As I sat in the busy nail salon, I decided to pull up Yelp to read their reviews. After reading someone had to wait almost an hour I thought "That couldn't possibly be true. They must be exaggerating." They weren't. I waited 45 minutes and I told the gentleman walking around we have waited that long and he said 5 minutes. Then tried to explain some techs called out today and they were short staffed. That 5 minutes turned into 15. I waited a full hour for a pedicure! I understand it was busy but if it's going to be that long of a wait you need to warn someone. I came only for a pedicure but my mom wanted to get a pedicure and a gel polish manicure. What would have made sense was to work on her hands and feet at the same time to speed up the process but instead the same person who worked on her feet did her nails. It was pushing 6:30pm and they were still working on he nails because a color she chose was completely different than the model nail. We weren't the only ones left in the salon but once we were they rushed my mom to pay. No apology for the wait. It just rubbed me the wrong way. We were only there past closing because of them. Be prepared to wait. It's a beautiful salon with many color choices. But the customer service is really lacking. read more

Decided to try this place out as it was nearby. There were roughly 20 employees, most of them focusing on pedis so I waited a whole hour for them to begin, only because my best friend was getting her old set soaked. Whatever, we waited. To begin with, they didn't have the color I asked for so I had to chose another one--no big deal. My nails ended up very lumpy and full of little air bubbles. Whatever, i'll live. So then I asked for a rainbow chrome powder finish on the tip of my nails like an ombré. They only had a silver chrome, okay, i took it. So the male employee seemed kinda confused like he didn't know how to apply it. He was talking in his native language to a coworker so i'm guessing he was asking for direction?? If you don't know, simply say that. I would rather keep a basically nail than what i got. Anyways, he kept roughly tapping the powder in excess. I've gotten chrome plenty of times to know you kinda of rub a small amount on the nail. He didn't. He applied it to basically half of the nail (not just the tip like i asked) and it was definitely not blended out. There's harsh lines on every nail which is ugly! So i asked if he could just apply it to the whole nail, he denied and said he would basically have to take the whole polish off. Like i said, i've gotten chrome finish and you can definitely apply more on the rest of the nail without it looking bad or having to take off the whole nail polish. Mind you it's $15 for chrome. Outrageous. After that the employee seemed very annoyed and rushed to get me out. mind you i'm not a rude customer as i work in customer service. Point is, never going back. Long wait. Decided to give this new nail bar a try. $50 down the drain. I had a full set gel nails and eyebrow arch. Some of the nails were sloppy and lumpy. The nail tech had another customer come in after she had started my nails. She was trying to rush and get done with my nails so she could get to what assumed was a "regular" for her. I ended up removing the nails after a week because since were beginning to lift on the sides and they just looked bad in my opinion. As far as my eyebrows it was low light in the room so I didn't notice until I got home that one of my eyebrows had a gap at the end. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I love the ambiance of this place. They have a lot of colors to choose from and I've never waited longer than 15-20 minutes for any service. The quality all depends on who you get, but I've always had the person correct whatever I didn't like even if someone else had to explain to them what I was saying. I went to this nail salon and right as I walked in, I noticed how beautiful the atmosphere was. They had so many colors to choose from, especially gel. The nail place I had went to previously did not do an amazing job on my nails, so I decided to try them & she immediately told me why my nails kept breaking. Any little thing I did, my nail would break. I had only had them for a week. The lady told me that whoever did my nails filled them down to the point where they were cracking. Every single nail had a crack & the lady said she would try her hardest to fix them but if she couldn't, then I would have to get a complete new set of nails & I was completely fine with it. I ended up having to get a complete new set of nails & she convinced me to get stiletto shaped nails. I get so many compliments on them & even people have taken pictures of my nails. I've been waiting to try this place ever since I first saw their sign go up. I walked in after they opened around noon today and I honestly think this is the nicest salon in all of Henry County. TONS of chairs, both for pedicures and manicures, super clean, decorated beautifully, and many colors to choose from. I decided to get a deluxe pedicure and a full set of acrylic with gel polish. Both were excellent. Overall, I think everyone will be satisfied with their services as well as their prices. My total was only $54 :) read more

I usually go to DC Nails, on the other side of Hwy 20.. However, I thought I'd give this place a shot.. I'll admit, it is nice. However, they're more expensive than most nail salons in the area. Also, I had my two girls with me, ages 15 & 4. They WERE NOT kid friendly. I asked for, and was willing to pay for, a pedicure for my 4 year old and they gave an attitude about it. Kid Pedicures are something on their price list, so I just figured they wold be fine with it. Nope. Also, as my oldest daughter and I were getting our pedicures, I had told them we each wanted to do a full set. I was told that we did not ask for that at front, so they would have to see if someone would be available to do it. Sooooo, I have been a loyal customer to an "undisclosed" salon around the way for about 5 years. Rarely do I switch in cases like that. I came upon this place ONLY because my current salon never has any great colors to choose from and the atmosphere isn't really relaxing at all. I stepped into lush nail bar skeptical as hell. I mean my nails are just as important as my hair. I don't allow people to fuck with either. Especially if I've become comfortable. With that being said, I stepped into the salon. I was "WOWed" instantly. The ambiance is amazing. Relaxing music. Many chairs so you're not waiting long at all. An array of colors and they offer complimentary beverages. (I didn't take advantage of that perk. Next time!) I had the wonderful pleasure of sitting with Sally for my manicure services. I was greeted with Xena for my pedicure services. Both ladies were absolutely a delight and their work is beyond beautiful. All I'm gonna say is, I am no longer a client at the other salon. I made the switch off a whim. Glad I did. Anything I said he would reply with "mmmm" I asked how long they have been located there (because I've never noticed them, someone had told me that day about them) and he just started at me and rolled us eyes. So it's time to check out, and they charge me $42 FUCKING DOLLARS!! ARE YOU KIDDING. I had no design. No jewels glued on, NOTHING.
