I went to this salon for regular highlights and was very disappointed with the experience. I was charged $400, but I was never informed beforehand that a more expensive service was going to be done. I expected to pay for regular highlights and would have appreciated being told about the price and service change before proceeding. Unfortunately, I also did not like the final result. The color was much darker than the picture I showed, and the outcome was very different from what I had requested. For the price I paid, I expected much better communication and a result closer to the reference photo. I'm especially disappointed that the cost was not discussed with me upfront. When I arrived, I was immediately taken to a chair and did a quick consult with Lina about what I wanted (I wanted a cut from shoulder length to bixie). She quickly got to work; double cleansed my hair, and then started the cut. She was soooo sweet!!! While I was in her chair she had some small talk with me, but not too much (you know some people talk so much they forget they are cutting your hair and go too far, she did not do this). Lina cut my hair exactly like I asked, and when she styled it she did not use too much product, which I really appreciate. I've been going to Tommy for several years now. I'm 59 years old and I've tried many salons and hairstylists over the yeats. Tommy is the VERY BEST of all of the hair stylists I've ever been to. He is beyond expert level at hair coloring and cutting and yet he's very humble and says he's always taking classes to keep up and learn and improve his technique. Tommy is the best! I only get trims, but as someone who only went to one person her whole life, switching after moving was very scary. Tommy squeezed me in before they opened one morning and was so knowledgeable about his art. They had just returned from a hair convention to make sure they are still up to date with the latest techniques. I appreciate his care and passion for what he does. I have been back three times now and had a different lady for one of those times. She did great as well. It is a little pricey, but so is everything now adays. Firstly, I had a last minute video interview and desperately needed my hair done without much notice. I saw Tommy's work on Yelp and messaged them and luckily they had a same day cancellation! I snatched it up so fast. My usual salon was booked and far away. This was ten minutes from my house. The employees were kind and nice and Tommy was wonderful and had my trust within minutes. Everything was clean and up to standards. I wasn't pressured into any additional services and they were honest. Also, they sold my favorite products. They were able to cover the grey streak in the front of my hair and had the most wonderful cut since I had not had a cut in over a year and desperately needed it. It was my first time going to the salon and I finally found the stylist who can handle my thick volume hair! I've always gotten my hair done in Japan. Because I hadn't have met any stylists in the US who knew how to thin out my volume hair, and it never came out how I wanted. The owner(forgot to get his name but I believe Tommy) is a knowledgeable skilled hairstylist and knows how Japanese hair is different from other Asians'. Not only thinned out my hair perfectly but added texture with his amazing techniques! With his skill the price is reasonable:) I got my haircut a few days ago and keep getting compliments (even from strangers just passing by!) I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and I was super excited. When I got there, someone washed my hair. Afterwards, I sat in the chair and the hairstylist told me that he was going to have lunch, which I was totally okay and fine with. As soon as he was done, I asked how he was, and he complained that he had to work until 9:00 pm. He then proceeded to give me major attitude and was very rude to me, to the point where I wanted to leave as I felt uncomfortable. I couldn't because my hair was already washed. He asked how I wanted my haircut and I told him how I wanted it, he was still very rude to me. The entire time, I just wanted to leave. After my haircut, the receptionist told me that the haircut was $75. My hair is very fine and thin. This isn't the first time as I've been at their salon before and I was only charged $55 before. I ask why it was $75 and she said she didn't know. I heard him in the background and he said it was $75 and never gave me a reason. I left and I was very upset, to the point of tears. I will never come back to the salon again, that hairstylist needs to change his attitude and treat his clients with respect and not take his attitude out on anyone. read more

I came in with hair that was worked on incorrectly I had 2-3 different colors in my hair, super dark in between. Just looked terrible. I told Tommy Lee everything I didn't like and what I wanted to change and he did exactly that. He explained every step very throughly so we both could make sure we are on the same page.
