So imagine my surprise when I paid $18 for an excellent haircut at Jordan-Bailey here in Conway, Ar. The salon is located in a little cluster of shops off Prince Street and one could pass it by if one wasn't being driven by their son who lives in town. My appointment was with April, who came highly recommended by my son and his roommates. She was probably the most personable, genuine person I've met on my travels to date. Very knowledgeable about hair and hair products I might add. She suggested keeping the length of my hair but still took off enough so I felt like I had a haircut and not a 'trim'. April has been doing this for six years and enjoys what she's doing which, in my opinion,enhances the chances of getting a cut you like. I know I did. It's funny, I could see her living in S.F. or L.A. and fitting right in. She is quite humble too as it was difficult to tip her back something for her artistic efforts! The owner, Greg Nobles has been in this location for three years but has been in the business since 1997. He, like the staff, is very personable and knows his clientele well. I enjoyed chatting with him. I highly recommend anyone wanting a pleasurable hair experience to come here and be pampered a bit!

The tech that completed an acrylic fill with shalack polish did a rush job. The color of the nails…read morewere so light that he should have added another coat. I have always had my nails under the heat lamp for at least 60 seconds but this tech would rush through the polishing of my nails that he always beat the time on the lamp. Instead of waiting until the 60 seconds were up he would tap my hand and gesture that I needed to change. I had a chip nail but he didn't even try to fix it. A few times he hurt me by digging into my cuticles. Everytime that I let him know that he hurt me he would laugh and keep on going. I have no plans of ever returning to this shop.
